After chatting, Bai Zhizhi and her family went back to their rooms to sleep...

The sky was not yet completely bright, and the morning light shone into the room through the gaps in the curtains. Bai Zhizhi slowly opened her eyes, turned her head, and her gaze fell on Lu Chuan beside her, and found that he had also woken up.

"Why are you awake so early?" Bai Zhizhi asked softly, her voice as gentle as the morning breeze.

Lu Chuan raised a faint smile and responded, "I wanted to get up early because I have to go to the city to buy tickets today. I told you before that I haven't bought the return ticket yet, so I have to leave for home tomorrow."

Bai Zhizhi smiled slightly, sat up from the bed, reached out to pick up her clothes and began to dress. Then, she walked to the window and gently opened the curtains. The bright sunlight instantly penetrated the glass and poured into the room, bringing some warmth and comfort.

She turned around, looked at Lu Chuan, and said softly, "Then let's pack up first, go downstairs and enjoy a hearty breakfast before leaving."

Lu Chuan nodded, and the two began to tidy up their clothes.

After a while, they went downstairs together and saw that Bai's mother had already prepared breakfast.

"You two are coming down so early? Don't you need to sleep a little longer today?" Bai's mother asked with a smile.

"Well, Mom, we have to go to the city to buy return tickets. We also want to buy some things on the way. The children are still sleeping in the house. You can take a look at them later. If they wake up, make them a cup of malted milk and steam a bowl of egg custard. They can eat now." Bai Zhizhi replied.

"Okay! You can go without worry." said Bai's mother.

"Then let's go." Bai Zhizhi said, holding Lu Chuan's hand.

"Be careful on the road!" Bai's mother warned.

"I know!" Bai Zhizhi replied.

Lu Chuan and Bai Zhizhi went out and found at the entrance of the village that they had forgotten to bring their bicycle keys. So they went back to get the keys and rode their bicycles to the town. When they arrived in the town, they parked their bicycles in front of a store and took the bus.

Along the way, Lu Chuan and Bai Zhizhi didn't speak, each thinking about their own things.

"Okay, go ahead, and remember to come back early." Bai's mother instructed.

Bai Zhizhi and Lu Chuan set off after breakfast.

The weather was very cold and the wind was biting. They were wrapped in thick cotton coats, wearing hats and gloves, and walking on the road hand in hand.

After more than two hours' drive, they finally arrived at the city's train station.

The station is bustling with people coming and going.

There was a long line in front of the ticket window, with people waiting anxiously to buy tickets.

Bai Zhizhi and Lu Chuan lined up behind the crowd, chatting and waiting patiently.

"I wonder if I can buy a ticket?" Bai Zhizhi asked worriedly.

"It should be fine. We came here so long in advance." Lu Chuan comforted.

Time passed minute by minute, and finally it was their turn to buy tickets.

Finally it was their turn. Bai Zhizhi handed over the money and ID card and bought two sleeper tickets back to City A.

The conductor told them that there were some tickets left, but only sleeper tickets. If they needed them, they should pay for them, a total of 13.6 cents for two people, and then they would have to wait to confirm the specific train number and seats.

Bai Zhizhi and Lu Chuan paid the money, bought the tickets, and walked out of the ticket hall.

After getting the tickets, the two decided to stroll around the city. They walked into a department store and had a quick lunch. They found it crowded with people and a wide variety of goods, with more new things than in City A.

When Bai Zhizhi saw a beautiful red sweater, she couldn't help but try it on. Lu Chuan smiled and said that it suited her very well.

After paying the bill, I bought some snacks and fabrics and left the department store.

At noon, the city streets are wide and prosperous, with a wide variety of shops, but not as lively as in the evening and morning.

After lunch, they continued shopping and enjoyed this rare leisure time.

In the evening, they returned to the train station and prepared to take the bus back to the county.

After getting on the bus, they bought the tickets. Bai Zhizhi couldn't stand the smell in the car, so she wore a mask that she secretly took out from the space and leaned on Lu Chuan's shoulder to rest all the way.

The car started slowly and took them on the journey home.

The scenery outside the window kept changing. Bai Zhizhi leaned on Lu Chuan's shoulder, feeling each other's warmth.

Although this short trip was a bit rushed, it filled them with anticipation and excitement.

They are looking forward to returning home and having the triplets call out "Mommy and Daddy". That scene will surely be a beautiful memory.
