Pig Killer

Chapter 20

"Kill the pig. It's so big." The raccoon spread his arms and gestured at her, saying, "Mother can handle it."

"Yes!" Shen Hui'e patted her arms and said, "I am very strong now."

Over the past month, I have been catching rabbits and running around, which has helped me keep fit and restore a lot of my strength.

"My uncle and the other uncles are all asking for you!" Da Chong looked at her with a smile in his innocent eyes and said, "Seeing how skillfully you can kill rabbits, you probably won't have to worry about killing pigs."

"Then I will push the wheelbarrow to the countryside to collect pigs tomorrow." Shen Hui'e looked at them with her clear eyes and said, "Is it okay for you to stay at home?"

"Aren't we going with you?" Li Nu looked at her eagerly with his big round eyes.

"It's too far, you guys should stay at home." Shen Hui'e looked at him soothingly with her bright eyes, "I'm tired from walking, I still have to carry you."

"No, no, we are at home." Da Chong said immediately after hearing this, not wanting to add to A Niang's burden, "I will take good care of my sister."

"Be good!" Shen Hui'e looked at him with eyes as gentle as jade and said, "Let Huang Er accompany you."

"No, no, no, mother, Huang Er will accompany you. He is very powerful if anything happens." The big tiger said without thinking.

"What could happen?" Shen Hui'e was stunned when she heard that, and she reached out and patted his forehead and smiled.

"There are too many idlers in the countryside, stirring up trouble and teasing cats and dogs. They are bad, they are evil!" The tiger puffed up his cheeks and said angrily, "Everyone avoids them. What if they stop you?"

"Chop them up." Shen Hui'e picked up the large knife on the chopping board and said, "I'll take this with me."

"No, no." Li Nu grabbed her arm and said, "Let Huang Er accompany you."

"Woof woof..." Huang Er grinned and shouted, obviously very willing to go out.

"Then I'm worried about you." Shen Hui'e looked at them with her deep and bottomless eyes and said, they are still too young.

"We have nothing to worry about. Just close the door, stay at home and practice writing big characters." Da Chong said obediently.

"Aren't you going out to play?" Shen Hui'e looked at them curiously and said, "There are kids on our street looking for you."

"No! Help my mother to settle the accounts." The big insect looked at her with his black eyes and said, "I have calculated all the accounts correctly, right? I am also very good at counting!"

"Yes! Yes! Smart." Shen Hui'e looked at him with bright eyes and praised.

"They don't play either. They all help with housework. They only have time to get together when it rains and there are fewer guests." The big insect looked at her with his black eyes and said, "Spring plowing will start soon. We all have to close the door and go to the fields."

"Go to the fields?" A hint of surprise flashed in Shen Hui'e's eyes. She searched through the native's memory and her pupils suddenly shrank. I... Oh my God, there are so many fields at home, how can I farm them?

Shen Hui'e felt overwhelmed. There was more land than people now. Her family owned 80 acres of land, but she couldn't even cultivate eight acres.

There is no mechanical assistance, only manpower. This is going to cost me my life!

"Mother, mother?" The raccoon tugged at her sleeve and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

"I want to plant so much land, how should I do it?" Shen Hui'e said with a headache, hanging her head.

"My grandfather and uncle helped us." Da Chong looked at her with innocent eyes.

There is a lot of land here! Shen Hui'e looked at them with her dark eyes. If she thought about it carefully, it seemed that they would rotate crops and rest, so they would have to plant 40 acres.

The seeds are scattered there, which is basically a free-range method, and they are left to grow naturally.

Shen Hui'e went to the utility room, breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the plow, and then frowned again.

This plow is too rough. Shen Hui'e frowned and looked at the plow, wondering if it could be used.

"Mother, why are you looking at the plow?" Li Nu looked at her puzzledly and asked.

"Nothing?" Shen Hui'e straightened up and shook her head slightly.

"My uncle has cows, and these plows are pulled by cows." The big tiger said with his black eyes rolling.

"I know." Shen Hui'e looked at him with a smile and said, "I just feel sorry for the cows."

"Feeling sorry? Cow?" Da Chong looked at her blankly and said.

"Yes! It's a bit hard to plow the land with this plow." Shen Hui'e looked at him with deep and penetrating eyes and said, "It's even harder for a person to pull the plow."

"Yes, yes, yes!" The big tiger nodded hurriedly after hearing this. "It's bare-chested, and the hemp rope has made its skin peel off its shoulders." He tilted his head and thought for a while, "The cow is so tired that it's panting heavily. I really feel sorry for the cow when I think about it. It's so tired."

"But people are tired too!" Li Nu looked at his mother in confusion.

"I'm thinking about how to plow the fields so that neither people nor oxen get tired." Shen Hui'e said as she looked at them with her crystal clear eyes flashing with jade light.

"There's nothing we can do about it! We've always plowed the land this way before." The big insect stared at her with its dark eyes, then lowered its head to look at the plow and shook its head slightly, "How can we change this? It seems very difficult."

"There were no plows for tilling the land before, but we have them now." Shen Hui'e said to them with deep and cold eyes.

"What should we do then?" asked the big tiger, looking at her through his round black glasses.

"Use your brain and think about it!" Shen Hui'e said, patting the plowshare.

Da Chong scratched his head and looked at her, shaking his head and said, "How can this be improved? What do you think?"

The raccoon slave shook his head and said, "My head is moving!"

Shen Hui'e was stunned when she heard this, then burst into laughter and said, "My silly girl, you are so cute."

"Mother!" Li Nu looked at her at a loss what to do after being laughed at.

"It's okay, it's okay." Shen Hui'e looked at her with a smile and said, "What I mean by using our brains is to improve the strength and speed based on the foundation of our ancestors." She looked at them with clear and insightful eyes and said, "How can we make people and cows pull the plow easily, plow the land quickly and save effort? Work hard in this direction!"

The big tiger looked at his mother with his dark eyes and said, "You make it sound easy, but this is really difficult!"

"Spring plowing is about to begin. Watch carefully how the plow is plowing the land." Shen Hui'e reached out and patted his head, saying, "This is how we can improve it!"

"Mother?" Da Chong scratched his head and looked at her and said, "I never thought about these things before."

Shen Hui'e blinked and said honestly, "In the past, we didn't have to worry about anything because we had your father, a strong laborer." She pursed her lips and said, "Now everything at home and outside is on our shoulders, we have to find a way!" She patted her arm and said, "Women are naturally not as strong as men. You still have ten years to go!" She patted his little head and said, "Don't we have to find a way? It's hard to repay the debt of favor if we rely on others for everything."

This excuse is sufficient enough!

Hearing this, Da Chong looked at her with his dark eyes, "What do you need me to do, mother?"
