Eating big melon is so refreshing

Chapter 13: Widow Zheng

The widow Zheng was named Zheng Ji. She was a maid in a wealthy family in the capital. After the mistress came into the family, she found a reason to provoke Zheng Ji and sold her to an old bachelor, who tortured her by beating and scolding her all day long. The old bachelor was a drunkard, and he died of drunkenness within two years. His children then drove the widow away, and she ended up in Huangyang County.

Widow Zheng finally hooked up with Ergouzi, and took advantage of the fact that she had given birth to a son to anger Jiang Guihua. Finally, Ergouzi couldn't stand that stupid woman anymore and divorced her.

Widow Zheng thought that Ergouzi would marry her after divorcing his wife, but unfortunately she looked around but there was no movement. After asking around, she found out that Ergouzi's elders disliked her and Ergouzi was also looking for another girl.

Widow Zheng felt very disappointed. She didn't want to be sold out, so she set her eyes on the young master of the embroidery shop and used all her secrets. The first thing she did was to drive Jiang away. As the saying goes: There can't be two tigers in one mountain, unless they are one male and one female.

Jiang's departure from the embroidery workshop was a signal, and young girls and wives from respectable families also left one after another. This made Widow Zheng feel worried after just a few days of boasting. She couldn't be expected to do all the work by herself, right?

Widow Zheng didn't know that the wife of the young master of the embroidery shop, Liao, was the daughter of Aunt Hua's eldest aunt. After going around in circles, she turned out to be an acquaintance.

Liao and Jiang Guihua shared the same hatred for the enemy, so they gathered their own men and attacked Widow Zheng, beating her half to death. Er Gouzi felt humiliated and was still hesitating whether to give up Widow Zheng. Now, needless to say, he had crossed the river and burned the bridge, and bought out his son with a sum of money.

Without Widow Zheng, Jiang Guihua still hoped that Ergouzi would take her back. However, Ergouzi told Jiang Guihua that their fate was over and he would marry a new wife next month.

Jiang Guihua broke down and cried loudly. Only now did she regret how willful she was to end up in this situation.

Zhao Erlang was holding his fat daughter, and Jiang was taking her son to the street to do some shopping. When they passed by Ergouzi's grocery store, they heard Jiang Guihua's heart-wrenching cry, and then saw her walking out in a daze and fainted as she reached the door.

The couple left quickly with their child. They decided not to watch Jiang Guihua's fun, as they would be in trouble if she tried to scam them.

"He's just a man, crying like his parents are dying, it's really embarrassing for women."

Xiao Chunya's heart sounded, "Paper tiger, you can only yell at people in the same village, and cry to the man who abandoned you. Hey, I fainted."

Er Gouzi looked at Jiang Guihua coldly and said, "Don't play this trick in front of me. If you don't get up, I will sell your two daughters."

Children are just the property of their parents. Ergouzi didn't want two money-losing things in the first place, and if they really pissed him off, he would do anything.

Jiang Guihua lay motionless on the ground, blood oozing from the back of her head. A brave woman stepped forward to sniff her breath, her face changed, and she said, "She is not breathing anymore."

"Bad luck!" Er Gouzi's face changed. He was accused of forcing his ex-wife to death, so his marriage would definitely change.

That evening

Everyone in Xiaowang Village knew that Jiang Guihua was dead. She died in front of Ergouzi's grocery store. Her body was taken back to her parents' home, but before the funeral, Ergouzi sold his two daughters.

Jiang Guihua's brother went to Ergouzi's house angrily and accidentally beat Ergouzi to death. He was then taken away by the yamen runners.

There was crying in Aunt Hua's house, and the sky above the whole village was covered with dark clouds.

"Er Gouzi is too abominable. His family doesn't need this little money, but he actually sold his own daughter. Beating him to death would be a bargain."

Xiao Chunya's inner voice echoed, "It's a pity that the two children were sold to a brothel by their scumbag father. Er Gouzi's clansmen knew about it but did nothing to stop them. They are scholars but are not as righteous as a butcher."

Xiao Qiulin and Master Mingyue exchanged glances.

Young Master Mingyue whispered a few words to his confidant, and the confidant left quietly.

"What's the name of Er Gouzi's cousin? He passed the county exam but didn't pass the examination for Tongsheng. He seems to be the grandson of the clan leader."

"Jiang Guihua is not a good person. Her brother Jiang Guilin is a good person. Except for the third child Jiang Xiaocao who seems to have some problems with his brain, the rest of the family is pretty good."

Xiao Chunya said, "Brother, Aunt Hua is quite pitiful. Should we donate some money?"

"No, Dad and Mom will give the sacrifice." Xiao Qiulin said, "We are children and should not participate in such activities."

In order to prevent the two younger ones from joining in the fun, Jiang Tang sent him to the next room to be with Master Mingyue.

Each village has its own rules. Anyone of any age can attend village weddings, but children under the age of six who are not relatives cannot attend funerals.

"Let's continue playing checkers. I think we can sell these chess pieces. Dad has to take the cloth to the dock to sell anyway. The passengers on the boats are bored facing the river all day. They will definitely buy toys to kill time."

Xiao Chunya said, "Uncle San can make toys. Where is the toy of the little chicken eating rice? I can't seem to find it."

Xiao Qiulin felt a little guilty and said, "I'll mortgage it to Luo Xiaopang in exchange for a farming book from his family."

Xiao Chunya's eyes widened as she said, "Once the toy fell into Luo Xiaopang's hands, it would be strange if he didn't tear it apart with the way he played with it."

"If he demolishes it, he should pay for it." Xiao Qiulin said confidently, "I returned the books I borrowed from him in their entirety, and I should also return the toys in their entirety."

"Fat Luo loves to show off his toys. It's hard to say whether the toy is in his hand or in the hand of his neighbor, Big Li."

Don't talk about people during the day, and don't talk about ghosts at night.

A carriage rushed into the village and stopped at the door of Jiang's house. Xiao Chunya walked out curiously, and suddenly her eyes were hit by a severe blow. The two little guys who got out of the carriage had swollen faces like pigs' heads. It was getting dark and it was very scary.

"You guys are fighting each other?"

"Xiao Chunzi, Li Datou took your toys apart and you can't put them together again piece by piece."

"The toy broke because Fatty Luo fought with me for it. We agreed that each person could play with it for 15 minutes, but he came to grab it before the time was up."

"So you two opened my and my brother's birthday presents, and then you two beat each other up so badly that I almost didn't recognize you."

Xiao Chunya said, "You two, is it necessary? This toy was given to you by my third uncle. If you like this toy, you can ask my third uncle to make one for each of you. Is there any need to fight over it? Is there any need to fight?"

Luo Xiaopang sobbed and said, "Xiao Qiuzi didn't tell me that this toy was made by your uncle when she borrowed the book. Ask your uncle to make me another one. I'll also pay for the broken one."

"You don't have to pay for the broken one. Just lend me the agricultural book for a few more days." Xiao Chunya said.

Okay, stop crying, I have some fun checkers here, do you want to play with me?"
