The First Tyrant of Daxia

Chapter 1978: The British Empire's Response

British Empire, Royal Palace, London.

"Trash! They are all a bunch of trash!"

King Henry VII was so angry that he smashed several precious vessels.

The ministers in the audience dared not say a word, for fear of getting into trouble.

The Daxia army advanced at a great speed and fought with incredible strength. By the time they reacted, three small cities had already been captured.

Although these are only three small cities, they have a vital interest in the dynasty and are important cities for protecting the royal capital.

But now that it had fallen into the hands of Daxia, the city that had originally protected the dynasty had instantly become a sharp knife that could directly attack the capital. It was attacked from all sides and felt like a thorn in its back.

What made Henry VII even angrier was that the Royal Knights, who were known for their elite soldiers and generals, did not even have time to react before the enemy easily captured three cities, which were such important cities.

"Your Majesty, now is not the time to be angry."

British Prime Minister Robert stood up and said, "The best thing to do now is to stop Daxia from continuing its attack."

Henry VII was no fool. After Robert's reminder, he came to his senses and said hurriedly, "Brave General Genos, what should we do now?"

Hearing this, the ministers all turned their eyes to a tall figure beside Prime Minister Robert.

Admiral Genos is a legend of the British Empire. He joined the army at the age of fifteen and led troops in battle for thirty years without a single defeat. He is known as Britain's "sun never sets" general, which is similar to the ever-victorious general of Daxia.

Although Genos is nearly fifty years old, he is still tall and straight, with a vigorous face, and deep facial features of a Westerner, especially the deep eye sockets that flash a sharp light from time to time. His hooked nose makes him look cunning and intelligent.

During the thirty years that he led troops in battle, Genos was famous for his ability to use strange strategies and tactics. He won countless battles with a small force and was so famous that he was feared by Western countries.

Genos and the up-and-coming God of War Barry are the two undefeated gods of war of the British Empire.

Unfortunately, Barry had already been beheaded by Qin Yun, leaving only Genos.

Genos stepped forward and said, "Your Majesty, according to intelligence, this Daxia army only has more than 20,000 people, and they have obtained the passage from the Ptolemaic Dynasty to the heartland of our British Empire, so they were able to capture three cities by surprise."

Many ministers nodded.

Henry VII sat up straight and asked, "Brave General Janos, what do you think we should do now?"

"The biggest disadvantage of a surprise attack is the lack of follow-up combat power." Genos analyzed, "The surprise attack troops are often elite and small in number. This means that as long as one side reacts and surrounds the surprise attack troops with a large number of troops, the other side will be helpless!"

"it is good!"

Henry VII slammed the table and stood up, "Just do as General Janos said, and immediately mobilize a large number of troops to surround the surprise attacking army."

"No!" Genos quickly stopped him.

The excited Henry VII frowned slightly. He felt humiliated by being refuted by Genos in public, but he still needed to rely on Genos, so he kept silent.

Robert saw everything, and he couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

Seeing the king remained silent, Genos quickly explained, "Sire, since the other party was able to use a surprise attack, it means they are not stupid. They must have been prepared to deal with our reaction."

Henry VII turned his head and pondered, "General Genos means... if we want to counter the surprise attack, we might fall into the enemy's trap?"

"Exactly!"

Genos' eyes sparkled, his hooked nose trembled, and he said, "Your Majesty, if I were the enemy general, in this situation, I would definitely lead the army to retreat, and when the enemy sends a large number of troops to counterattack, I would either attack from the front and back with the surprise attack army, or bypass the battlefield and go straight to the enemy's stronghold!"

Henry VII was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat. He took out his handkerchief and wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Thanks to General Genos for reminding me, otherwise I would have almost fallen into the conspiracy of the Great Xia Emperor!"

Having said that, he couldn't help but grit his teeth and spit fire from his eyes.

"I don't dare to take credit for it. I'm just speaking from experience." Although Genos said it modestly, there was a hint of arrogance in his expression.

Henry VII was unhappy, but he didn't say anything. He just asked calmly, "General Genos, please don't keep us in suspense. The Daxia army is approaching. Tell us your plan as soon as possible."

Genos quickly took out the map, spread it out on the table, pointed at the Ptolemaic Dynasty and said, "Your Majesty, I have carefully checked the map. If the enemy wants to launch a surprise attack on the heart of the British Empire from the Ptolemaic Dynasty, they can only do so from the Panog Gorge."

"According to intelligence, the Great Xia Emperor has sent out a large army to directly attack our British Empire. With so many people, it is impossible for them to go without food and water, right? If we can find the route they use to transport supplies, we can cut off their transportation and starve them to death without having to sacrifice a single soldier!"

"Great!" Henry VII smiled happily.

Genos put away the map and said confidently, "Your Majesty, now we just need to withdraw the troops from those three cities, tighten the defense circle, and wait for the opportunity to act."

“When is the best time?”

Genos already had a plan in mind, and he said, "Wait until the enemy army shows up and we find the route they use to transport supplies. That will be the best time for us to attack!"

Henry VII nodded and waved his hand: "Everything will be arranged by General Genos!"

Robert had gained some weight, but it did not affect his intelligence at all. He stepped forward and said, "Your Majesty, please do not forget that even after Persia was destroyed, we still have five allies. This time Daxia launched a massive attack on us. As allies, how could they sit idly by?"

Upon hearing this, Henry VII's eyes sparkled, and he quickly said, "Yes, yes, yes! Send envoys to contact the five western countries and ask them to put some pressure on the emperor of Great Xia. Otherwise, we will withdraw our troops from the Western Allied Forces and don't need this ally!"

Robert was somewhat helpless. If that was the case, it would be strange if the five Western empires were willing to take action.

However, Henry VII's order had already been issued, so it was up to him to decide on the wording, but it certainly could not be written directly according to Henry VII's words.

He already had a draft in his mind.

"With two heroes, Genos and Robert, the empire has nothing to worry about!" Henry VII laughed while sitting on the throne.

The ministers laughed along.

"Okay, let's break up the meeting."

Henry VII could not wait to leave.

When the ministers saw this scene, they all started talking about it.

"It seems that Madam Helen is really favored by His Excellency the Monarch."

"I have seen this Madam Helen before. She is indeed very beautiful and breathtaking."

"Hearing what you said, I want to meet him."

"Speak softly, so that the queen may not hear you."
