Chapter 731: Barbarian General Appears in Yutuo City

Chu Xiaomu found out that Lulin Palace was on the southeast side of Yutuo City near the sea, only seven or eight miles away from the north gate, so he and Xiaoying rode their Huang horses and jogged there.

Along the way, they saw many soldiers from Yutuo City patrolling back and forth, apparently searching for evil spirits from the Hoof Tribe. When they saw Chu Xiaomu and Xiaoying, they noticed the unusual horses they were riding and came over to question them. Chu Xiaomu pulled out his green bell, and sure enough, no one bothered them anymore.

Soon, they were only one street away from Lulin Palace. Chu Xiaomu and Xiaoying dismounted, led Cheng Huang by the hand, and walked side by side towards Lulin Palace.

Suddenly, I heard horses neighing and people shouting behind me, as if something strange was happening.

The two looked back and saw the crowds on the street running away as if they had seen some terrifying monster. Chu Xiaomu immediately thought of the evil spirits of Chisha Country and wondered how those evil spirits could be so bold as to dare to come to the gate of Lulin Palace?

The crowd dispersed, revealing two towering monsters with sharp horns roaring out from the street corner. One of them thrust its horns forward and charged, slamming directly into a fleeing young man. The horn pierced his back and exited his chest, leaving it stained with blood. The young man died instantly.

Judging from the appearance of these two monsters, they are undoubtedly the barbarian generals of the Hoof Tribe of the Red Sand Nation. The Walking Man was imprisoned in Jinyang City after being injured by Chu Xiaomu. It is unknown which of these two are the Flying Man, the Cave-Stirring Man, the River-Crossing Man, or the Rolling Sand Man.

Then, seventeen or eighteen soldiers from Yutuo City, armed with spears and shields, rushed over from the other side of the street corner and fought with the two barbarian generals of the Ti tribe.

One of the Hoof Tribe generals had thick arms and legs, and was extremely strong. He charged forward with all his might, knocking down most of the soldiers. The street was paved with gravel, and a thick gray fog and dust swirled behind him.

The other barbarian general was much shorter and significantly less powerful. He collided with the shield-wielding leader, but surprisingly failed to knock him down. Instead, he was sent sliding back a couple of feet. The leader shouted loudly, and abruptly stopped. It seemed this man had activated the Force.

A dozen or so soldiers who were knocked down and had no commanding officer got up from the ground. They shouted loudly and quickly gathered together. The front row held their shields steady, while the back row thrust their spears out, forming a small military formation and pushing forward step by step towards the powerful Hoof Tribe general.

Seeing the dozen or so sharp spears pointing out from the small army formation, the barbarian general did not dare to charge forward, but instead rushed towards the sergeant captain who was fighting hard with another barbarian general.

The captain was unable to dodge and was knocked flat on his back. The other soldiers had no choice but to disperse their formation and thrust their spears at the two Hoof Tribe generals.

The sergeant captain, who had fallen to the ground, shouted, "Keep the formation steady! Don't disperse!"

But his shout was still a little late. The soldiers were afraid that he would be injured by the barbarian general of the Hoof Clan, so they had already dispersed their troops.

The stronger general of the Hoof Clan kicked his hooves hard, stirring up thick dust again and rushing towards a dozen soldiers.

The dust was thick, and the soldiers could not see clearly. They did not know which direction the Hoof Tribe generals were coming from, and their formation was immediately thrown into disarray. In a short while, they were knocked to the ground one by one, howling incessantly.

Chu Xiaomu had initially thought that this group of soldiers could hold out for a while, perhaps even relying on their solid formation to defeat the two Hoof Tribe generals, so he wasn't in a hurry to attack. Unexpectedly, in less than a cup of tea, the Yutuo City sergeant squad of nearly twenty men was severely defeated.

He had no choice but to hand the reins of the horse to Xiaoying and said, "I'll go help them."

Xiaoying nodded and said, "These monsters are so evil, Brother Xiaomu, you should teach them a lesson!"

Chu Xiaomu turned around and smiled, "Look at your brother Xiaomu showing off his skills today."

After he finished speaking, he drew the dome-shaped stone sword from his back, tapped the ground lightly with his toes, and took off like a hawk, pouncing on the barbarian general of the Hoe tribe who was more than 20 feet away.

His mastery of the Force grew more and more refined. As his Qi Sea surged, his body felt lighter and more agile. Gradually, he reached the state where his thoughts gave rise to his Qi, and his Qi gave rise to his emptiness.

The powerful general of the Hoof Clan ran quickly, raising a thick cloud of sand and dust that covered himself and his entire squad of soldiers.

Chu Xiaomu listened to the sound and determined the location. The Qiongshi Sword was like a long black chain, sinking into the dust and gray fog.

Only a rough scream was heard from the dusty fog, and the rolling sand fog suddenly stopped, and then slowly dispersed with a light breeze.

When the sand mist cleared, the soldiers who had been knocked to the ground struggled to get up. When they looked carefully, they saw a tall and strong barbarian leader of the Hoof Tribe standing motionless in the middle of the street, with a very strange-looking long sword stuck in his chest. The blood from his chest flowed onto the blade, and finally gathered into a thin thread, flowing silently on the ground.

The hilt of the strange sword was held in the hands of a young man wearing a green hemp robe and with an indifferent expression.

Another barbarian general of the Hoof tribe who was fighting with the captain of the sergeants saw this incredible scene, and suddenly let out a strange cry. He pushed the captain away for several steps and shouted, "Rolling Sand Barbarian, the Blood Hoof Spirit King will definitely avenge you!" It turned out that the person Chu Xiaomu had just killed was Rolling Sand Barbarian, one of the five barbarian generals under Blood Hoof.

Chu Xiaomu had fought against the Walking Barbarians before. While they weren't his match, they weren't that weak either. The Rolling Sand Barbarians were equally famous, so he figured they were probably about the same. He was able to kill the barbarian general with a single strike, not only because of his powerful Dragon Spine Sword style, but also because he took advantage of the surprise attack.
