Slowly Deep Love

Chapter 8 Insomnia

The sun was setting and the night was getting darker. Changle stood in the courtyard guarding the gate, looking into Yue Weiwei's room from time to time.

Nanny Li and Qian Yue came over with food boxes. Chang Le immediately went to meet them and said, "At first I heard some noises in the room, but now there is no movement at all. The young lady is sleeping very soundly."

Nanny Li looked at the sky and frowned. She knocked on the door gently, but there was no answer.

"The young lady just woke up today, which makes me feel uneasy." Nanny Li pushed open the door and walked in.

Changle and Qian Yue were busy at the dining table, setting up the bowls, chopsticks and plates, waiting for Yue Weiwei to sit down and have a good meal.

Nanny Li walked through the screen, her face full of shock.

Yue Weiwei was sleeping in a pile of clothes with the quilt lying neatly on the side. The door of the closet was wide open and the closet was empty.

The spring chill had not yet dissipated. Yue Weiwei slept without a quilt. Perhaps she felt cold, so she pulled her clothes over and wrapped them around her body in a mess.

Nanny Li hurried forward, pulled open the quilt and covered her with it with concern.

Yue Weiwei felt someone was around. She opened her sleepy eyes and saw Nanny Li. Her heart sank.

Before going to bed, she still thought hopefully: I will go back when I wake up.

Yue Weiwei closed his eyes to ease his emotions, sat up and asked, "What time is it now?"

"What did the young lady say?" Nanny Li didn't understand and asked Yue Weiwei instead.

Yue Weiwei was speechless for a moment, stunned for a moment, and suddenly changed the subject: "What time is it now?"

"It's almost the evening hour." Qian Yue walked over and was surprised to see Yue Weiwei.

"When is the You hour?" Yue Weiwei looked confused. She looked out the window. The sky was gray and the afterglow of the sun was shining on the horizon.

The sun is about to set!

It was the You hour now. Yue Weiwei understood it and nodded slightly.

"Miss is confused from sleeping!" Qian Yue muttered.

Nanny Li lifted up half of the clothes and asked curiously, "Why did the young lady sleep with the clothes?"

Changle heard the noise behind the screen and came over to take a look, but she stood there in a daze, not knowing what to do.

Yue Weiwei lowered her head to look at the clothes on her body, recalled the operation before going to bed, and smiled awkwardly: "These clothes are so beautiful, I really want to wear them all."

Nanny Li and the other two looked at each other. Who would believe this reason?

Qian Yue was still lively. She ran over and pulled Yue Weiwei and said, "Miss, I made delicious food for you again. Come and eat quickly."

Qian Yue broke the silence and awkwardness, and Yue Weiwei seemed to have grabbed a life-saving straw and said, "I've had a good sleep and I'm hungry again. Let's go and see what you've done."

She staggered to her feet, her clothes flying all over the floor, and ran away happily.

Nanny Li stared at Yue Weiwei's back, feeling angry but also wanting to laugh. She looked at the clothes all over the floor and exclaimed in her heart: Why has the young lady's temperament changed so drastically?

Changle came over to help Nanny Li clean up the mess and heard Qian Yue introducing the dishes one by one.

"This is Jin Yu Man Tang, this is stir-fried green pepper mushrooms, this is boiled beef, and this is called lotus root stuffed with meat."

"It's delicious and tasty. You guys will make me fat!" Yue Weiwei replied happily.

When Changle heard this, he couldn't help but laughed softly.

Nanny Li looked at the figure outside the screen. She was originally full of doubts, but they were soon swept away by the rare relaxed atmosphere.

The two of them sorted the clothes, hung the clean ones in the closet, and folded the ones with footprints by Changle and took them out to be washed.

Nanny Li and Qian Yue served Yue Weiwei their meal, and Qian Yue packed up the lunch boxes and left.

Nanny Li accompanied Yue Weiwei for a walk in the yard, and the entire Qingxiang Pavilion was lit with lanterns.

"These are candlelight lanterns. The lanterns I've seen before were all lit by light bulbs. The atmosphere is so different!" Yue Weiwei seemed to be talking to herself, but also seemed to be talking to Nanny Li.

Nanny Li’s worries came up again!

Yue Weiwei walked to the front door tentatively to see if she could sneak out of Qingxiang Pavilion.

As a result, he was politely stopped by the guards.

Yue Weiwei said politely: "Thank you for your hard work!"

She retreated helplessly and asked Li Mama, "What would Minglu do now?"

"You have really forgotten everything, young lady! You usually read books, sometimes embroider, and you have a box full of purses."

"Take me to see it!" Yue Weiwei walked quickly towards the room.

As soon as she entered the room, Nanny Li walked to the low shelf against the wall, took out a box from the bottom shelf, and placed it on the dining table.

Yue Weiwei opened the box, and the aroma filled the air, and the box was filled with brightly colored lotus leaves.

She picked up a white one, put it to her nose and smelled it, it was refreshing.

This purse is embroidered with pink peach blossoms, which looks just like the flowers blooming in the backyard.

Yue Weiwei looked through it and walked to the shelf where there were many books.

She nodded knowingly. It was a long night without TV, computer or cell phone, so she might as well read a book!

Yue Weiwei said to Madam Li, "Madam, you've been busy all day. Go and have a rest. I'll read a book."

Madam Li nodded and said, "Miss, if you have any instructions, just call me. I'm next door."

Yue Weiwei picked up a book and sat down to read. The text was full of classical Chinese, which was awkward and difficult to understand.

Change one!

Not lucky at all, the text is still hard to understand!

Change another one!

……

Reading requires calmness. Yue Weiwei looked up to the sky and sighed, it’s not a good day to read!

She walked past the screen and came to the dressing table. The small and exquisite citrus fruit was really eye-catching.

Yue Weiwei sat down and looked at it. She suddenly thought of her ideal, and those uniquely designed jewelry popped into her mind one by one.

Next to the window is a table with paper, inkstone, and brush on it.

Yue Weiwei sat down, spread out a piece of paper, and carefully ground the ink. After a long time, she drew a bracelet on the paper.

It was Qian Yue's turn to keep watch tonight. The lights in the room had been on all the time, and Yue Weiwei didn't tell her to get ready to wash up. It was already late at night, and Qian Yue was a little anxious. She knocked on the door and greeted Yue Weiwei.

Yue Weiwei shouted from inside the house: "Come in and take a look at my design!"

Qian Yue was surprised when she saw the painting: "Miss, you have never painted this kind of painting before! It is very special, and the composition is something I have never seen before."

"This is a bracelet, isn't it beautiful?" Yue Weiwei was very excited.

When she was in school, studying took up a lot of her time, and jewelry design became a dream buried deep in her heart.

Now, what Yue Weiwei has the most is time, so she can paint whatever she wants.

"Beautiful! My daughter is the most talented. She is proficient in music, chess, calligraphy and painting." Qian Yue kept praising.

Yue Weiwei felt a little relieved. In this era, cultivating a hobby is worth the life.

"Miss, maybe you slept too long in the afternoon. Are you still sleepy now? You just woke up. You can't be tired. You have to go to bed early."

Qian Yue pulled Yue Weiwei to the bedside and helped her take off her hair accessories and change her clothes.

At this time, Changle came in with hot water.

After washing up, Yue Weiwei was arranged to lie down on the bed, and the two maids blew out the candles and left.

Yue Weiwei looked at the dark room, her concern making her confused. These two girls didn't even ask me if I wanted to sleep or not, they just pushed me down on the bed.

Outside the empty window and the dark night sky, Yue Weiwei felt a chill all over her body.

She pulled the quilt and buried her neck in it, tears falling down her face. She missed her grandfather and her parents!

Are they okay now? Did Minglu travel to the present? Is she awake now? Can they get along well?

A series of questions filled Yue Weiwei's mind.

Her head became heavier and heavier, and she became more and more awake. She tossed and turned, and finally she gave up on falling asleep and just suffered from insomnia!
