Slowly Deep Love

Chapter 14 Visiting Xinyao Pavilion

Yue Weiwei thought of the reason why Minglu moved out of Yuelongyuan, and her heart was in turmoil. She quickly walked to the door, but was unable to step over the threshold, so she could only stretch her neck to look out.

Changle stood outside the door and watched. Suddenly, she whispered, "The Madam is here," and walked over quickly to greet her.

Yue Weiwei felt a little embarrassed. When she heard Changle's greeting, she suddenly remembered the etiquette taught by Nanny Li. She must not embarrass herself again today.

Madam approached, and Yue Weiwei's polite greeting immediately calmed Changle's heart.

"Minglu, are you feeling well?" The lady took Yue Weiwei's hand and walked into the door together.

"To answer mother, I am in good health. Don't worry about me."

"That's great. Doctor Liu's prescription is definitely effective. As the saying goes, good medicine tastes bitter. You must take the medicine on time."

Yue nodded slightly.

The lady looked at her, wanting to say something but stopping herself. She quickly asked the lady to sit in the pavilion and treated her to tea, fruit and fruits.

The lady ate a grape and asked, "Minglu, still can't remember anything?"

Yue nodded awkwardly, not daring to look at his wife.

"It doesn't matter. Since you've married into the Taiwei Mansion, you'll always be my daughter-in-law." The lady reached out and patted Yue Weiwei's arm.

Yue looked up slightly and saw the lady's eyes. Her eyes were firm and resolute, which made her feel in awe.

"You will be confined to Qingxiang Pavilion for the next few days and study hard with Nanny Li. The days ahead are long and you have forgotten everything. You must be more humble."

Madam stood up and was about to leave. Yue Weiwei hurriedly followed her. She turned back and said, "Heng Ying is coughing again. I'm going to Xinyao Pavilion now and came to see you by the way."

"Thank you for your concern, mother. Minglu just lost her memory and is fine. Please don't worry. I really want to go visit my third sister with mother!"

"It's enough that you have this intention, just take good care of her!" After saying that, he turned around and left.

Yue Weiwei did not forget to salute again.

Today’s performance was good, thanks to Nanny Li’s strict training, Yue Weiwei turned around and sighed.

She said to Changle, "Go find Nanny Li and tell her about the situation at Xinyao Pavilion. What kind of gifts should we send as condolences?"

Changle agreed and left.

After a while, Nanny Li, Changle and Qian Yue came over carrying several brocade boxes of various sizes.

When Yue Weiwei saw this scene, she was secretly surprised. Her third sister was very favored in the Taiwei Mansion.

Nanny Li put down the brocade box and said, "Miss, Miss Three was feeling better a few days ago, but she started coughing again today. Her condition keeps relapsing, which is really worrying for the Grand Commandant and his wife!"

Yue Weiwei flipped them open and looked at them one by one. Although she didn't recognize them, she guessed that they were boxed gifts of precious medicinal materials, ginseng, etc.

She nodded and said, "Minglu is a daughter-in-law, she should share the worries of her parents, send her there quickly!"

Just after I finished speaking, I felt that I was frightened by the sudden arrival of the Grand Marshal's wife today, but I learned to say such decent and considerate words.

Nanny Li said with satisfaction: "The young lady did not lose face when she met the lady today. She has made great progress!"

Yue nodded slightly and smiled.

Changle continued, "Miss San respects our young lady! She calls her sister-in-law all the time, so affectionately!"

Qian Yue also said: "The third young lady learned the reason why the young lady moved out of Yuelong Courtyard, and ignored the son-in-law for a few days. She even came to Qingxiang Pavilion to visit and apologize."

Yue Weiwei said: "It's a pity that I can't go out now, otherwise I would definitely go to visit my third sister."

Nanny Li comforted her: "Don't worry, the time has not come yet. Miss has performed well today and Madam is satisfied, so the ban will be lifted soon!"

Yue nodded slightly, accepting all the flattery. He would have to work harder in the next few days.

Nanny Li and Changle went to Xinyao Pavilion to give gifts, while Qian Yue stayed in Qingxiang Pavilion with Yue Weiwei.

Suddenly, Qian Yue seemed to remember something. She patted Yue Weiwei's arm in surprise and said, "I heard something today. It scared me to death!"

"What's the matter?" Looking at Qian Yue's appearance, she didn't think there was anything more frightening than Li Hengan settling a murder case.

"It was Aunt An. She almost killed the koi from Lingta Pavilion!"

"Is Koi a maid? Why are you beating her?"

"Jinli hooked up with the second young master. She really wants to climb up the social ladder at the cost of her life."

"How do you know it was Koi who hooked up with the Second Young Master? Could it be that they were in love with each other?"

"Ah! Aunt An loves her son so much, how could she let Jinli climb into the second young master's bed? If this matter gets out, it will ruin the second young master's reputation."

"Madam An is setting an example for others to follow. Let's see who will dare to stick to the Second Young Master in the future. What about the Second Young Master? How is he?"

"I heard that the Second Young Master pleaded for Koi, but he was beaten even harder. The Second Young Master didn't dare to say a word."

Yue Weiwei peeled the grape skins in her hand and thought: Minglu has suffered so much injustice with her background, what good can Jinli get from marrying the second young master? The second young master is just a concubine's son, and the two of them have to rely on others in the Taiwei Mansion. Not everyone can be as tough as Li Hengan!

Qian Yue shook her, and Yue Weiwei discovered that there were a few peeled grapes on the small plate. It would be more accurate to say that they were cracked open, with pits all over them, rather than peeled.

Qian Yue asked: "What are you thinking about, Miss?"

Yue Weiwei pushed the small dish away and said, "Jinli can't stay in Lingta Pavilion anymore. Where is she now?"

"Of course I couldn't stay there. I was exiled with my injuries."

"Exiled?" Yue Weiwei exclaimed.

"He went to do hard labor in a remote farm in Taiweifu! It seems he went north."

The Taiwei Mansion holds the indentures of these servants! In this life, life and death are not up to us.

Yue Weiwei looked at Qian Yue and thought of Nanny Li and Changle. They had the same fate, but it was really a blessing to meet Minglu as their master!

She patted the table lightly and felt like laughing. She had been confined to Qingxiang Pavilion for three days since she woke up, but it did not affect her understanding of the goings-on in Taiwei Mansion.

She stood up, walked to the edge of the pond, picked up a branch to tease the little fish in the water. The fish swam back and forth among the tender branches, looking very happy!

Yue Weiwei looked at them and suddenly forgot about all these things, and her worries seemed to be less.

Nanny Li and Changle came to Xinyao Pavilion carrying a brocade box. There were people walking in front of the Xinyao Pavilion from time to time, but it was unusually quiet.

Everyone was afraid of disturbing the Third Miss's rest and dared not speak.

This is the quietest courtyard in the Taiwei Mansion. Not only are people silent, but there is no one else living around here except Qingxiang Pavilion which is relatively close.

There are more guards here than in other places, and you can see several of them along the way.

Perhaps because it was far from Chengyun Courtyard, the Taiwei and his wife were always worried, so they sent some people to guard Xinyao Pavilion.

Changle has never been to Xinyao Pavilion. It is too quiet here and she feels uncomfortable.

Just as she was about to speak, Nanny Li stopped her with a look. She lowered her head and just followed Nanny. Several servants passed by her, and these men walked very lightly.

Changle looked back and saw two of them looked familiar. One was from Chengyun Courtyard. She thought, Madam is in Xinyao Pavilion now? The other one was from Yuelong Courtyard. Could it be that the son-in-law was also there?
