Crossing the spy war, my code name is God of Wealth

Chapter 98 Dragon Slaying Plan (Part )

Chen Yang told George about the dinner they had that day in front of Kuroda Yusuke...

George and Haley were surprised to hear this.

The sisters who had been separated for thirty-five years finally got news of each other after decades of wasted time, but they were separated forever. This ending sounds very regrettable.

However, Haley was more curious about Yamamoto Ryosuke, who looked exactly like Chen Yang.

Kuroda Yusuke said on the side: "In fact, Ryosuke and Chen-san are somewhat different."

"Ryosuke is an honest and responsible kid. He works very hard and is sincere to others. Well, at least he doesn't lie..."

As he spoke, he glanced at Chen Yang intentionally or unintentionally. The meaning was self-evident...

Chen Yang knew it very well that it must have been Li Xianshu who said it. This expert on micro-expressions could easily distinguish the truth from lies and other childish tricks on the scene.

"Haha, Kuroda-kun is joking." Chen Yang's face was not red or he was not out of breath, and even his expression was still as sincere as ever.

"Kuroda-kun, I didn't know you had a special liking for Shen Zhou's paintings."

"However, you have come at the right time today. The two paintings I brought are not rare treasures."

"In addition to Shen Zhou's Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin, there is another rare painting from the Wu School of Painting."

"Please appreciate Shen Zhou's Thousand-armed and Thousand-eyed Guanyin first. When Mr. Bernard arrives, we will look at another one..."

"Okay, okay," Yusuke Kuroda rubbed his hands excitedly, turned around and told Ken Terao to wait for Bernard at the restaurant entrance.

Call him up as soon as you see him...

Ken Terao bowed and pushed the door open and left.

Yusuke Kuroda looked at Chen Yang expectantly, his expression was like a child seeing his favorite toy.

In addition to the greed that is visible to the naked eye, there is also extremely strong expectation.

Chen Yang stood up, walked to a corner of the box, and took out the wooden box on the table.

Take it to the dining table and slowly open the painting..

Kuroda Yusuke held his breath and stared at the portrait...

Only when all the portraits appeared before his eyes did he breathe a sigh of relief.

This Thousand-armed Thousand-eyed Guanyin statue is indeed a work from the Ming Dynasty...

The original artistic form of the Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara was based on the "Transformation of the Thousand-armed Thousand-eyed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's Great, Complete, Unhindered, Greatly Compassionate Heart Dharani Sutra", also known as the "Transformation of the Thousand-armed Thousand-eyed Greatly Compassionate Heart Dharani Sutra".

Although the sutras and statues were brought into China by Indian monks in the early Tang Dynasty, they went through many twists and turns and hardships before taking root in Chinese soil a hundred years later.

Even so, such themes are still rare in Tang and Song dynasty temple murals and grotto temples.

The earliest record of this painting in the history of painting may have been that it was painted by the famous Sichuan painter Zuo Quan in the Wenshu Pavilion of the Three Academy in Chengdu during the Baoli period of the Tang Dynasty (825-826). Unfortunately, it has disappeared.

Some experts believe that before earlier image materials are discovered, the "Thousand-Handed Sutra" in the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang during the heyday of the Tang Dynasty can be considered the earliest existing "Thousand-Handed Sutra" image in my country.

But this portrait is obviously different from the murals in Dunhuang. The lines are much softer, the details are very delicate, and the whole composition is full of the style of the Wumen School of Painting.

Yusuke Kuroda wore white gloves and held a magnifying glass, studying it inch by inch. After a while, he came to a conclusion.

"Yes, yes, it is indeed the work of Shen Zhou."

“Whether it is technique, style or detail processing, it is typical of the Wu School of Painting.”

"Legend has it that Shen Zhou spent some time in seclusion at Fayan Temple in his later years, and this painting should have been made at that time."

George asked curiously, "Can Consul Kuroda tell when the artist painted this picture?"

"Of course," Kuroda Yusuke put down the magnifying glass and explained with a smile, "Shen Zhou became famous when he was young. At that time, his paintings were full of vigor and vitality, his brushwork was vigorous, his paintings were lifelike, and there was a sense of success everywhere."

"At that time, he was good at painting ladies. The girls in his paintings had bright eyes, white teeth, and a sweet smile, which were masterpieces."

"When I reached middle age, my painting skills had reached perfection. The artistic conception of the landscape paintings I made at this time was different. The brushstrokes were soft and the artistic conception was profound. Every blade of grass, every mountain and every river had its own unique charm."

"In his later years, his painting skills had reached a superb level, and this portrait is the best proof of this."

"Look at this painting, isn't it full of solemnity and compassion?"

“This is the charm of the painting.”

"A treasure! This painting is definitely worthy of the word treasure."

This long speech really stunned Chen Yang.

I didn’t expect that Yusuke Kuroda was so knowledgeable and talented, and he knew so much about ancient paintings.

"Mr. Chen, I wonder what the other painting is."

Yusuke Kuroda's eyes kept glancing at the other painting box in the corner.

These two paintings appear together, and it is obvious that the other one is also a rare masterpiece.

He was very curious about what other paintings could compete with Shen Zhou's "Thousand-Armed and Thousand-Eyed Guanyin".

"Kuroda-kun, don't be impatient. Let's wait for Mr. Bernard."

Chen Yang did not intend to take out the painting to admire it immediately, but changed the subject and said, "Have you had dinner, Kuroda-kun? Let's have some together."

How could Kuroda Yusuke have such leisure time? Looking at the painting box now was like a cat's claw scratching his heart, making him feel itchy and unbearable.

"Mr. Chen, you guys eat first. I'd better look at the paintings."

Chen Yang was slightly stunned. This old man is also a painting fanatic.

Forget it. I won’t survive the night anyway, so I might as well watch as much as I want.

Chen Yang ordered the waiter to serve the food, while Kuroda Yusuke was studying the scroll in the corner.

He would exclaim in surprise from time to time, and this constant surprise made Chen Yang and Haley lose their appetite.

After a quick dinner, Chen Yang ordered a cup of coffee, while George and Haley picked up the red wine. Just as they took a sip, they heard hurried footsteps.

"Sorry, guys, I'm late."

As soon as Bernard came in, he greeted everyone with a little humility.

"Bernard, you're finally here." Kuroda Yusuke called out, "Come and see what this is."

Bernard copied out the poor Chinese text and said, "Kuroda-kun looks so happy, it can't be a painting by Shen Zhou."

"Hahaha, you really do understand me." Kuroda Yusuke said, "It's the Thousand-armed and Thousand-eyed Guanyin painted by Shen Zhou in his later years."

“This is a rare masterpiece.”

"By the way, Mr. Chen, you have another painting. Isn't it time to show it to us?"

Chen Yang put down his coffee and said, "Mr. Bernard is here, so of course you can do it."

As he spoke, Chen Yang ordered the waiter to clean the table.

Taking out the painting box, Chen Yang opened it, took out a painting scroll, and slowly opened it in front of everyone...
