An hour later, everyone gathered at the east end of the village. The oldest man among the group was Xiao Changtie, who was fifty-six years old. As an elder, he naturally took on the responsibility of leading the group. The youngest was Xiao Zhu, who was less than eighteen years old.

Just as they were about to set off, a family living at the easternmost end of the village opened their door, and a boy who looked only fifteen or sixteen years old came out. The three monsters formed a triangle and slowly advanced, surrounding the remaining seven people, like hunters besieging their prey.

These three monsters as huge as wild dogs are actually three ants!
