A guide to surviving in the world of beasts

Chapter 22 Sending a Pottery Jar

After mastering some skills and methods, Su Ling felt happy both physically and mentally. When Sha and Hu Ya returned to the cave, she asked them to each choose some to take back.

The two were very excited. Looking at the pottery placed together, they liked each one, but when they left, they each chose one.

Both of them chose a clay pot. They liked it very much when they saw Su Ling cooking food in a clay pot yesterday. They both thought it would be nice to have one. Unexpectedly, Su Ling gave them one today.

Holding the pottery jar steadily in his arms, he walked very fast, a few steps faster than any other time he walked home.

"Father, Mother, I'm back. Come and see what I brought back."

Huqiu and Chun were sitting at the entrance of the cave enjoying the breeze when they saw the kid shouting and yelling from a distance. He seemed to be holding something in his hands and running fast and steadily. They thought Su Ling had made something delicious for him to bring back.

"Run slower, be careful not to fall." Although the tribesmen are now wearing the straw sandals that Su Ling taught them to weave, so they are less likely to hurt their feet when running, Chun is still worried that the children will fall.

Hearing this, he thought of the pottery jar in his arms, afraid that it might be broken, so he clenched his hands and slowly walked towards the cave.

When the others approached and saw what he was holding in his arms, Huqiu came forward curiously. His eyes widened when he saw it. He snatched the pottery jar from Huya's arms and held it carefully. "Where did you get this pottery jar from?"

Seeing his father's serious expression, Hu Ya didn't dare to complain, "Did Sister Su Ling give this to me?"

"Here you go. Do you know how precious this pottery jar is? She gave it to you and you took it?" When Huqiu heard that it was given by Su Ling, he completely lost his composure.

"But, Sister Su Ling easily baked several today, and gave one to me and Sister Sha." Hu Ya didn't know why his father was so excited. They also helped Sister Su Ling to bake them together. Although they probably wouldn't be able to bake them, it didn't feel that difficult.

"What? You said this was made by Su Ling?" Huqiu couldn't believe it.

Huqiu knew about pottery jars because he had been to the trading days when he was young. There he saw that a pottery jar smaller than the one he had in his hand would be exchanged for twenty animal skins. Those were skins that they had worked hard to save for a long time, but it took so many animal skins to exchange for such a small one.

The tribesmen looked at the jar with longing in their eyes, but no one asked to exchange it, because their supplies were to be exchanged for more important salt and food, and they could not exchange it for a clay pot even if they liked it very much.

Chun said dissatisfiedly, "Keep your voice down. Why are you so loud? Didn't Huya say that there is one in Sha's place too? Go to the tribe leader and ask about the situation."

Huqiu had told her about the pottery jar he had seen on the trading day. Now that she finally saw the pottery jar with her own eyes, she was very excited. She didn't expect Su Ling to be able to make it. It was really unbelievable. She couldn't help but touch it. It turned out that this was what the pottery jar felt like, smooth and felt like stone.

"Yes, I'll go to the chieftain now." After saying that, he ran towards the chieftain's cave holding the pottery jar.

Hu Ya looked at his empty hands, not understanding why his father was so excited, and why there was the jar he brought back. But he still felt sad that the jar was gone.

Haru patted the child's head comfortingly.

But Huqiu had only been running for a few minutes when he saw the tribe leader, the witch, and Sha holding a clay jar behind them, walking towards this side. In fact, they were heading towards Huyi's cave, but Huqiu's cave happened to be in this direction, so he said they were walking towards him.

This evening, the chief and the witch were counting the food reserves in the tribe's warehouse when they saw Sha trotting in with a clay pot. They immediately set their eyes on the pot. They had all seen the pottery pot before and knew how precious it was.

When he was young, there was one in the tribe, which was only used during sacrifices. But later it cracked, so everyone was very sad.

The fragments are still well placed in the corner of the warehouse, thinking that I could find something to repair them. Unexpectedly, I saw a new pottery jar. I was so surprised. When I heard that Su Ling could actually make pottery, the clan leader and the witch could no longer sit still.

No matter whether it was getting dark or not, it couldn't stop them from going to find Su Ling to ask for clarification. So they met Huqiu who wanted to find them halfway, and after meeting up, they went to find Su Ling together.

In front of the cave, Su was thinking about how to make the turntable. He scribbled on the ground and waited for a few people to approach and make a noise before Su Ling looked towards the source of the sound.

Seeing that they were confused, he led them to the table and asked, "Chief, why are you here? Is there something wrong?"

The clan leader was still a little excited. He suppressed his excitement and took the pottery in Sha's hand and put it on the table. "Su Ling, I heard from Sha that this was made by you, right?"

Huqiu also put the pottery in his hand on the table.

Su Ling frowned and asked in confusion, "I burned it. Is there a problem? You brought it here. Don't you like it?"

After getting the answer that Su Ling could make pottery, everyone became excited. The clan leader said, "No, I like it very much. I believe that no one would dislike pottery. You know? As long as you master the technology of making pottery, you can become the richest person in the East Wasteland Plain. Only the nobles in the Central Plain have this technology, so the Central Plain is richer than the other wastelands."

Sha opened her mouth in surprise when she heard her father's words. Su Ling performed such an important technique in front of them without any concealment. At this moment, Sha was moved beyond words.

When Su Ling was doing it, she didn't think so much about it. She just wanted to make her life more convenient. She didn't expect that anyone on Blue Star could learn it, and the pottery firing technology with a lot of methods on the Internet was so important here. But if you think about it again, this is a world that is still in the hunting era.

Su Ling suddenly realized, "Oh, so that's why you came here?"

For a moment, several people paused. They came here because of pottery. They wanted to ask Su Ling how to make pottery and whether she could teach the tribesmen to make pottery.

But then they thought about how Su Ling had brought so many changes to their tribe since she came to the tribe, and now she wanted to learn such important technology from others. They didn't have anything in exchange for such important technology, so they suddenly fell silent.

Su Ling didn't think so much about it, because this is not Blue Star. All she does every day is work to earn money. If she doesn't work, she will have to worry about mortgage and car loans.

In addition to worrying about food and safety issues here, she makes some daily necessities in her free time, and these do not require money, only manpower, so she teaches everyone things to make it convenient for herself in the future.
