Rift: Countdown to Doomsday

Ling Feng stood on the top of the mountain, looking into the distance. The mountain breeze blew across his face, bringing a cool breeze. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, as if he wanted to absorb all the spiritual energy of this world into his body. Everything in the past seemed to be vivid in his mind, and every battle and crisis he had experienced reappeared in his mind. However, he knew that the past was the past after all, and the road ahead was what he needed to focus on.

"Ling Feng, what are you thinking about?" Xuewu's voice came from behind.

Ling Feng slowly turned around and saw Xue Wu standing behind him, holding her long sword that shone with cold light. "I'm thinking about what to do in the future," Ling Feng replied, with a hint of heaviness in his tone.

Xuewu walked forward and gently held his hand. "No matter what the future holds, we will face it together. You are not alone."

"Ling Feng! Xue Wu!" Lie Yan's voice came from the bottom of the mountain. He ran up the mountain panting, his face full of anxiety. "We found a small team of enemies, and they are approaching in our direction."

Ling Feng's eyes narrowed when he heard this. "Enemy? How many people are there? What are their equipment?"

Lieyan wiped the sweat from his forehead and said, "There are about thirty of them, well-equipped, and they look like the elite troops of the Dark Lord."

Xuewu frowned, "The Dark Lord's troops? How do they know our whereabouts?"

Ling Feng thought for a moment, "No matter what, we can't just sit there and wait for death. Lieyan, gather everyone, we will set up an ambush at the foot of the mountain. Since they have come to us, we will teach them an unforgettable lesson."

Lieyan nodded and quickly went down the mountain to convey the order. Lingfeng and Xuewu followed closely behind, ready for the upcoming battle.

At the foot of the mountain, Ling Feng's team has assembled. Everyone has a determined look on their face. The warriors responded in unison, their fighting spirit high. Ling Feng raised the sword in his hand, "Let's go!"

The ambush point was set up in a dense forest. Ling Feng and his men were lying in ambush at various hidden locations, quietly waiting for the enemy to arrive. Soon, the enemy's footsteps gradually approached. Ling Feng made a gesture, signaling everyone to keep quiet. The enemy's team gradually entered the ambush circle, and a cold light flashed in Ling Feng's eyes, "Do it!"

At Ling Feng's command, the warriors rushed towards the enemy like tigers out of their cages. In an instant, the dense forest was filled with the flashing of swords and the shouts of killing. Ling Feng rushed to the front, waving his long sword like the wind, and the enemy could not get close at all. Xue Wu assisted from the side, and her sword energy was like a rainbow, taking away an enemy's life with every swing of the sword.

Although the enemy was well-equipped, they were caught off guard by Ling Feng's sudden attack and were soon beaten back. Just as the battle was about to end, an enemy leader in black armor rushed towards Ling Feng, his eyes full of anger and unwillingness.

"Ling Feng! You don't even think about winning!" He roared, pointing the sword in his hand directly at Ling Feng.

Ling Feng smiled coldly, "I'm used to winning!" Before he finished speaking, he rushed towards his opponent like lightning. The swords of both sides collided in the air, bursting out dazzling sparks.

The battle became fierce, Ling Feng and the enemy leader fought back and forth, the battle was extremely fierce. The surrounding warriors stopped their actions and watched this peak duel with bated breath. Xuewu clenched her fists nervously, praying for Ling Feng in her heart.

After several fierce battles, Ling Feng found the opponent's weakness and pierced through the enemy's defense with a sword, hitting his vital point. The enemy leader widened his eyes and muttered, "No... Impossible..." Then he fell heavily to the ground without a sound.

As the enemy leader fell, the remaining enemies also lost their fighting spirit and surrendered. Ling Feng wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief, "Everyone has worked hard, we won another game today!"

The soldiers cheered and celebrated the joy of victory. However, Ling Feng knew that this was just the beginning and there was still a long way to go. He had to work harder to truly realize his ideal.

Xuewu walked up to Lingfeng and whispered, "Lingfeng, what should we do next?"

Ling Feng held Xue Wu's hand and said firmly, "We must keep moving forward. No matter how many difficulties and dangers lie ahead, we must face them head-on and fight to the end for our dreams and our homeland!"

"Okay, let's go together." Xuewu nodded with a smile, her eyes full of determination.

Under the setting sun, Ling Feng and Xue Wu stood side by side, looking firmly into the distance. The road ahead may be full of thorns, but their hearts are full of faith and hope. With a new beginning, they will continue to write their own legends.
