Rift: Countdown to Doomsday

The scorching sun was scorching the earth, and Ling Feng and his companions were busy in the newly built base. Suddenly, a burst of hurried footsteps was heard, and a sentry ran in with sweat all over his forehead.

"Report! We have found traces of the enemy in the southeast of the base. They are numerous and well-equipped!"

Ling Feng nodded: "Lan Ya, lead a team to scout the enemy situation. Be careful not to reveal your whereabouts. Irene, prepare fortifications to ensure the safety of the base. Lie Yan, gather the soldiers, we must let the enemy know that this is not a place they can enter at will."

Lan Ya took the order and left, while Ling Feng and Lie Yan went to gather the warriors. Not long after, Lan Ya brought back the latest intelligence.

"There are about a hundred enemies, including some magicians and archers. They seem to be well prepared." Lan Ya reported.

"A hundred people? It seems that the enemy intends to destroy our base in one fell swoop." Ling Feng pondered for a moment, "We can't underestimate the enemy. Lieyan, prepare for an ambush. We must make the enemy pay a heavy price."

Under Ling Feng's command, the soldiers quickly set up an ambush, and were all in high spirits, ready to face the coming of the battle. As the enemy gradually approached, the tense atmosphere became more intense.

"Want to escape? Not that easy!" Ling Feng sneered, suddenly leaped up, and rushed straight to the enemy magician. Before the magician could react, he was chopped down by Ling Feng.

"Good job, Lingfeng!" Irene waved her sword, repelled several enemies, and gave Lingfeng an admiring look.

The battle lasted for an hour. Finally, the enemy was defeated by the fierce attack of Ling Feng and his companions, and the remaining enemies retreated one after another.

"Victory!" Lan Ya shouted excitedly, and the soldiers also cheered.

"This is just the beginning. The enemy will not give up easily." Ling Feng said calmly, "We must always remain vigilant and be ready to respond to new challenges at any time."

"Ling Feng is right. Everyone should not let their guard down and be ready to fight at any time." Lie Yan added.
