I'm a spy in the film

Chapter 13: The Second Monster

Without further ado, Bourne ran out of the exhibition hall and quickly found a Ford Raptor on the street. Using the little tricks he learned in the FBI special training, he easily started the car keylessly.

Passing by the only small supermarket in town, Bourne stopped the car and did some small shopping, including liquor, gasoline, bandages, ropes... anything that could be helpful, Bourne did not miss out. During this time, he also used glass bottles in the supermarket to make a few simple Molotov cocktails and lighters, and he also carried five or six of them on his body.

Unfortunately, there was no gun store in the town, and the police station was on the other side of the town. It was too late to go there now, so Bourne simply drove directly towards Greg Coker's house at the end of the town road.

Greg Corker's home still looks lifeless, with gray walls, mottled fences and dilapidated porch, all of which show how bad the owner's attitude towards life is. Even so, they are still the most prestigious family in the town, which shows how rotten this town is.

"Mr. Greg, Mr. Greg, are you home?"

As expected, no one answered. Bourne pushed open the half-open door and walked into the house. He walked lightly and carefully observed the situation inside. When he came in the morning, he was in a hurry to take care of his father and did not check the place carefully. Now it seems that the layout here is really weird. There are too many cotton and linen products in the house!

Wait, cotton and linen! Hemp rope ball!

not good!

Before Bourne could make any move, the half-open door suddenly slammed shut without wind, and the room suddenly fell into darkness.

"Shua"!

Five sharp claws flashing with cold light grabbed Bourne's neck fiercely with such force and speed that it seemed as if they would cut Bourne's neck off.

"You're the one I've been waiting for!"

The fear and panic on Bourne's face caused by the door being suddenly closed disappeared, replaced by a successful smile of having his plan implemented.

"clang--"

Bourne carried a fire axe on his shoulder to block a sharp claw that was grabbing towards him. The claws, as sharp as blades, cut on the axe blade, rubbing out a string of sparks.

Bourne had a feeling of being spied on since he entered the room. He pretended to be dazed when he found the door was closed, in order to quickly attract the guys who might be hiding in the room to take action.

As expected, the attack came from behind. Although he successfully used his backhand axe to chop the opponent's claws, the feeling from the axe blade made Bourne know that this counterattack did not hurt the opponent, or...

When Bourne turned around again, the guy who had just attacked him had disappeared. Up to this point, Bourne still hadn't seen who or what had attacked him, but Bourne was not in a hurry, because judging from the other party's impatience in launching the attack just now, the other party was more anxious than him.

"Humph!"

This kind of guy who is good at hiding and sneak attack is the most troublesome, dangerous and deadly. Compared with the human-skin rope monsters that were solved earlier, the monster in this room should be considered a small boss, or at least an elite monster.

"Don't come out? Then I'll force you to come out!"

Bourne held an axe in his right hand and a flame shot out of the lighter in his left hand. He lit the flame in the air as if in a demonstration, then slowly moved his body towards the window, and the flame in his hand also moved towards the edge of the curtain.

With the help of the firelight, Bourne could see clearly this time. An arm in a dark brown glove stretched out from the shadow behind the curtain and grabbed Bourne's hand holding the lighter. There were shiny blades embedded in the fingertips of the glove. The guy who attacked him just now should be this guy. It turned out that it was hiding in the shadow. No wonder he couldn't find any trace of it!

"then."

Bourne threw the Zippo lighter with a flame sideways backwards, spinning in the air and flying towards the sofa to the right rear. There were a lot of hemp products piled there, and even a tiny spark falling on them would cause a fire in the whole house.

Just as the lighter was about to fall on the pile of cloth strips on the sofa seat, the hand with the blade on its fingertips that was originally behind the curtain suddenly disappeared, and stretched out from the shadow behind the sofa, grabbing the lighter in its hand just before the lighter fell to the ground.

"You got Fooled!"

Bourne next to him was already ready to go. The fire axe chopped down the opponent's outstretched arm with a whistling sound. The remaining force did not diminish, and the blunt axe blade cut deeply into the back of the sofa, stirring up dust all over the sky.

An arm wearing a dark red plaid shirt and gloves was chopped off and fell on the carpet. In his hand was still holding the windproof lighter that Bourne had just thrown out, but the lid of the lighter had been closed.

"This is not the feeling of a human arm!"

Bourne didn't feel happy at all after easily cutting off the opponent's arm, because not a single drop of blood came out of the opponent after this blow, and the arm was so light, as if it was not made of flesh and blood, but - straw?

Looking at the yellow grass stems scattered from the sleeves of the broken arm on the ground, Bourne frowned even more tightly.

"The one who attacked me just now turned out to be a scarecrow? And it can hide and move in the shadows! This is getting tricky!"

However, Bourne rolled his eyes and pretended to lean over to pick up the lighter that had fallen on the ground. Sure enough, as soon as Bourne's hand touched the lighter, there was a rustling sound behind him. Bourne did not look back, he rolled forward on the spot, holding the axe in his right hand and sweeping across the ground. With two "swish" sounds, a pair of broken shoes were left on the ground not far from him, and a black shadow in the shape of a human lost balance and fell to the ground.

It was indeed a scarecrow. Bourne swung his axe repeatedly, chopping off the scarecrow's three remaining limbs and head. This time, the chopped-off arm that was still crawling on the ground stopped moving completely.

"call--"

Bourne breathed a sigh of relief. He actually didn't want to set this place on fire. After all, the magic circle had not been destroyed and Father Max had not come up yet. If he angered the monsters here by burning their nest, it would be a waste of time.

After waiting for a while, seeing that the scarecrow on the ground still did not respond, Bourne temporarily felt relieved. However, he still took off the scarecrow's claw gloves, wrapped them tightly with wire, then opened the door and walked out.

Not knowing if there were any other scarecrow monsters in the house or in the backyard, he planned to drive his car through the wooden fence and rush to the shelf.

Everything went smoothly. After knocking down a fence, Bourne drove the car to a wooden frame standing in the middle of the backyard. Right below the wooden frame was a wooden hut that looked like a simple toilet. However, the prompt from the system made Bourne afraid to act rashly:

"Warning! An altar connected to another dimension has been detected. Please destroy it as soon as possible!"

"Warning! A different space connection point has been detected (the seal is broken and cannot be repaired), please get away as soon as possible!"

Nima!

Looking at the three-story-high wooden frame and the ominous toilet hut, Bourne couldn't help but feel a little dry in the mouth. How long would it take him to destroy such a large wooden frame? Would a few monsters suddenly run out of the wooden hut while he was destroying it?

Now I don't know any spells except physical skills, and my physical attack methods are also very limited. I don't know if I can block or destroy possible monsters.

Looking at the watch on my hand, half of the time agreed with Father Marcos has passed, and there are only fifteen minutes left. What should I do?

Suddenly, Bourne's eyes focused, and he found a familiar symbol on the wooden shelf, which looked like a dagger.

"It's Dad, he's been here!"

Bourne was a little excited, because he had seen the same logo countless times in the tattoos on his father's arm. This was the mark his father had left on purpose!

"Dad, Dad, I knew you wouldn't show up here for no reason. Are you here to do your old job again?"

Bourne searched carefully on several supporting poles of the wooden frame, and sure enough, on four of the supporting poles, he found the explosives that his father had hidden and fixed on them.

Before retiring, Daddy was an explosion-proof officer in the army, known as the bomb disposal unit. After retiring, he still liked these explosive gadgets. Unfortunately, Bourne had a psychological trauma from playing with firecrackers when he was a child in his previous life, and after rebirth, he hated these hobbies of his new Daddy. However, despite this, Bourne was familiar with Daddy's methods and soon found the detonator left by Daddy.

"Yes, Dad knows me. What he left behind is a remote-controlled detonator. Although the distance is not set too far, it is enough to just blow off a few wooden support pillars!"

Bourne took the detonator, got back into the car and started it. After driving the car onto the main road of the town, Bourne pressed the detonator in his hand.
