Changbai Mountain has four slopes, divided into the east, west, south and north slopes. From November 11st to April 1th every year, tickets are free worldwide, and transportation fees are charged separately. At other times, within three days, you only need to buy one ticket for the north and west slopes.

Dongpo is the most primitive and the latest to be developed, and it cannot be reached from within China.

The northern slope was developed the earliest, has the most complete supporting facilities, the most scenic spots, and of course the one with the most tourists. The must-see attractions such as Changbai Mountain Waterfall, Hot Spring Boiled Eggs, Luyuantan, Tianchi, etc. are all here.

The nearest town to the North Slope is Erdaobaihe Town, which has been renamed Chibei District. It is a must-go place in Changbai Mountain and is about 30 minutes' drive from the North Slope. The town is very convenient for food, clothing, housing and transportation, and the things there are much more affordable than those in the scenic area. It is one of the 20 most beautiful towns in the world, because the Flower Sea Park in July and August every year is a large sea of ​​flowers, which is very suitable for taking pictures. Of course, there is also the legendary 400 million Internet celebrity toilet, which is also one of the characteristics.

The west slope has worse facilities than the north slope, and there are fewer attractions, including Tianchi, the Grand Canyon and the Alpine Park. The Alpine Park is open for a short time, starting from the beginning of August for about half a month. As for Tianchi, the north slope takes an off-road vehicle directly to Tianchi, while the west slope requires climbing more than 1400 steps, which is very strenuous if you can't keep up with the physical strength. The north slope and the west slope have different angles to view Tianchi. The north slope has a smaller angle and is higher, while the west slope has a larger angle and is lower. Each has its own beauty. If you have enough time, you can go up to see different beauties.

The nearest town to Xipo is Songjianghe Town, which is a 30-minute drive from the scenic area and resort. It is also convenient for food and accommodation, but not as good as Erdaobaihe Town. It is best to choose carpooling. It takes 1 hour from Xipo to Erdaobaihe Town. There is a train but it is too late and not worth it.

There are two famous ski resorts in Xipo, one is Wanda and the other is Luneng. Wanda is right outside the ski resort, where you can eat iron pot stew after skiing and soak in hot springs at night, which is very comfortable. The only drawback is that it is too expensive, but Wang Xiaocao has been tempted and plans to splurge, since it can be reimbursed anyway.

The South Slope is open the latest, with scenic spots such as Tianchi Lake and waterfalls, and is also the most beautiful slope for viewing Tianchi Lake. However, its geographical location is too remote, and it takes 6 hours to go back and forth from Erdao Baihe Town, and 4 hours to Songjianghe Town. In addition, the scenic area eco-friendly car takes another 2 hours to reach the destination, which is too torturous.

There is a daily limit of 3000 tickets available for purchase at Nanpo, so if you really want to go, be sure to purchase your tickets in advance and find a carpool.

In general, the north slope is a must-visit spot, the west slope is second, and the south slope should be carefully considered.
