Western Fantasy: The Princess Wants to Save the World
Chapter 33 Taking refuge
Cecilia never thought she could keep the secret from Valken forever.
Although she had tried her best to avoid being discovered by Valken, the current result was inevitable.
The only thing I was thankful for was that after discovering the truth, Valken did not secretly look for evidence to expose it to Gallup, but instead came to me and discussed it with me.
"Why do you think so?"
Valken had reasons to be suspicious, and even the tone of his question just now was quite certain.
It was no longer a doubt, Valken was certain that she could do magic.
Cecilia should know where she was exposed.
"There are many places. What confirmed that you can do magic for me was that this morning, two uninvited guests came to see the president. You were actually still in the office at that time, right?"
Cecilia nodded.
"You are the faceless man standing behind the president at that time, right?"
Cecilia's mask will affect people's cognition.
When most people see Cecilia wearing a mask, they will consciously put a face on her.
Different people will see Cecilia wearing a mask differently.
Like Lorian, because Cecilia put on a mask in front of him, he knew that the other person was Cecilia.
After going through the initial period of cognitive impairment caused by magic, his brain determined that the other party was Cecilia, and what he saw in his eyes was Cecilia's appearance again.
But Valken said that he saw a faceless man.
This shows that Valken was affected by the mask, but not seriously.
The mask couldn't even prevent Valken from seeing a normal face.
"It's really me."
Valken seemed to be relieved. "You are so..."
Cecilia looked at Valken.
"You are so bold."
Valken had heard a little bit about the fact that members of the royal family were not allowed to use magic.
But he did not doubt Cecilia's identity.
Cecilia's identity was recently stamped by His Majesty.
Valken doubted that he would even doubt that Cecilia was not a princess.
What he is more worried about now is that the fact that Cecilia knows magic will be discovered and used by others, posing a threat to His Majesty.
Ever since Valken came to her and asked her about it, Cecilia no longer worried that he would do anything to hurt her.
If Valken's goal was to expose her, he had hundreds of ways to do it.
"You can't catch a wolf without sacrificing a kid, right?"
Valken had never heard of this sentence, but he agreed with what the princess said.
"You are right, but I still think you shouldn't take such a risk. Maybe you can consider finding some helpers."
Valken volunteered, "Perhaps you could consider me."
Cecilia is actually still thinking about how to persuade Valken to become her own.
This is really like giving someone a pillow when they feel sleepy.
Before she even started thinking of a solution, Valken showed up.
Cecilia did not agree immediately, "I'll consider it."
The two separated and Cecilia returned to her bedroom.
There were two more servants in the bedroom.
It seems that it is the servant's turn to come back to clean today.
After learning from Celine that the princess had returned, the two men stayed resignedly.
Cecilia naturally had no idea that they were reluctant to stay.
It wasn't until she woke up from her lunch break that she heard about their troubles.
"When I entered the palace in the morning, I told my mother that I would go back for lunch."
"Yes, my mother thought I could stay at home for another day, so she went out to find some delicious moss for me."
"Oh my god, isn't it a shame that you can't go back?"
The two were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't notice Cecilia behind them at all.
"If your work for today is finished, you can leave the palace and come back after the holiday."
The two servants were stunned at first, but when they realized what was happening, they immediately begged for mercy from Cecilia, "Your Highness, please spare us. We didn't mean to do that. Please forgive us."
Celine was about to come over to wake the princess up, but when she got over here she saw her two companions apologizing to the princess with nervous expressions.
Seeing Celine coming over, Cecilia described the whole process to her.
Celine understood and said to her two companions, "His Highness really agrees that you can go back. It's okay."
The two looked at each other, and then respectfully thanked Cecilia, "Thank you, Your Highness."
Cecilia exempted them from the formalities, and the two of them almost trotted out of the bedroom.
Cecilia didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She looked at Celine who was still helping her change clothes, "Am I that scary?"
Celine shook her head. "Your Highness is a very good person. We misunderstood you before. They will get to know you in the future."
Cecilia felt that she was really confused after sleeping, which was why she asked such a question just now.
In the afternoon, Cecilia was supposed to have vocal lessons.
Although she didn't want to waste time on these courses, she had no reason to ask Gallup not to attend.
Fortunately, before the teacher came, Mel came to visit unexpectedly.
Cecilia quickly asked Celine to run over and tell the teacher that she had something urgent to do and could not continue the class.
Mel's sudden visit was to tell Cecilia about the confessions made by Ford and Leonard.
There were no new tricks, and Leonard still looked half conscious and half crazy.
Instead, Ford said something that was previously unknown, hoping to reduce Leonard's sentence.
After hearing this, Cecilia felt that Ford was quite loyal to Leonard.
The things that Ford explained were some of the measures that Leonard was going to take after Freya was recognized as a princess.
But since Leonard was imprisoned on the same day, there was no time for these backup plans to take action, so it didn't cause them any trouble.
Cecilia thanked Mel for the news, "Did you go to see Freya?"
Mel shook his head. "I don't think there's anything valuable about her."
Cecilia didn't agree, but she didn't question it either.
There must be a reason why Abeluna found Freya to replace the princess.
As for why Abeluna stopped at that time, it was probably because she recognized me and showed mercy.
Cecilia still feels very sad when she thinks that her former companions are now on different sides from her.
After sending Mel away, Cecilia sent the knight outside the palace to find Valken.
"Mel just told me about what Ford told me..."
Cecilia roughly recounted the details of the situation, and Valken listened. "So you mean to interrogate Freya, right?"
Cecilia nodded.
Valken immediately agreed, "Of course you can go if you want. I'll send someone to notify them right away."
The surveillance magic that Cecilia left next to Reynard and Freya's prison last time had lost its effectiveness at some point.
She always had a bad feeling.
