Western Fantasy: The Princess Wants to Save the World
Chapter 10 Rainy Night
Cecilia was frightened by Valken's words, "That's a good question. Don't ask it again next time."
Valken was amused by Cecilia's expression. "Everyone in Petra says that your favorite should be Prince Mel. It seems that the rumors cannot be trusted."
Cecilia had also heard these words from Lorian.
Lorian had never met Cecilia before, so it was natural for him to say this, but that was not the case with Valken.
Valken was sent by Gallup to take care of the original owner since the original owner was sixteen years old. How could he not know the truth of the rumors?
Cecilia had some doubts in her heart, but she didn't rush to question Valken.
Valken sent Cecilia to the door of her hotel room and said, "Your Highness, my room is right across from yours. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me."
After Celine bowed to Valken, she followed Cecilia into the room.
When they were away from home, Valken booked the best suite in the hotel for Cecilia.
Celine was about to help Cecilia wash up, but Cecilia politely refused, "I can do it myself. You must be tired after sitting in the car all day. Go and have a rest. I will call you if I need anything."
Celine really felt that the princess had become more amiable after the birthday dinner.
Like a dream.
After Celine left the master bedroom, Cecilia cast a protective spell on the entire hotel.
The inn is not small, and this magic consumed a lot of Cecilia's magic power. If Lorian was here, he would be surprised to find that Cecilia also had difficulty casting magic.
After a period of adjustment, Cecilia's condition improved a lot.
Looking at the dark weather outside the window, Cecilia always had a bad feeling.
That night, Cecilia was awakened by the sound of rain.
The rain came suddenly.
Cecilia looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was less than three o'clock in the morning. She got up and closed the window. She walked to the window and saw a building on the other side of the road with bright lights.
She vaguely remembered that Mel and his group left in that direction in order to avoid her.
Cecilia picked up a coat, went out and knocked on Valken's door.
Valken also opened the door with his coat on, looking a little sleepy. "Princess, what happened?"
"I suspect something went wrong on Mel's end."
Valken frowned.
Cecilia ignored etiquette and dragged Valken into her room, pointing to the brightly lit area outside the window, "I remember Mel and the others went in that direction."
When Valken was dragged away by the princess, he was almost awake. With the wind and rain blowing by the window, he was completely awake. "Yes, I remember it was in that direction."
Celine was awakened by the voices of Cecilia and Valken, and rushed over in her pajamas, "Princess, what happened?"
Cecilia gave Celine a soothing smile, "It's nothing, go back and rest."
Celine was Cecilia's personal maid, so she naturally listened to Cecilia's words, did not question or say anything, and went back obediently.
Cecilia looked at Valken and said, "No matter what, we have to go over and see what's going on."
Valken hesitated. If something unexpected happened to little Prince Mel, he alone might not be able to protect the princess, let alone help little Prince Mel survive the danger.
But if we wake up all the team members, what if Prince Mel doesn't have any accidents...
Valken was still hesitating, but Cecilia had already made a decision. "Go wake up three or four knights and come with me."
As Cecilia spoke, she had already started to act. She randomly picked two doors that were close to her room and knocked on them.
The knight was very impatient after being woken up. When he saw that it was the princess knocking on the door, he woke up instantly, "Your Highness... Your Highness..."
"Change your clothes quickly. I'll be waiting for you in the lobby downstairs."
Valken stood behind Cecilia, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up!"
Cecilia was still casually wearing the clothes she had just picked up in a hurry. Valken gently reminded her, "Your Highness, are you cold?"
Unexpectedly, Cecilia shook her head and said, "Let's go downstairs first. I'm worried that something might happen to Mel."
Valken asked again, "Doesn't Your Highness have no feelings for Prince Mel?"
Cecilia answered very seriously this time, "First, Mel is the only son of Prince Morpheus, and his life is closely related to the future of the kingdom. Secondly, no matter what his status is, as long as he is a citizen of the Kingdom of Anatolia, I, as a princess, should protect his personal safety within the scope of the law."
Cecilia met Valken's eyes. Her eyes were firm and bright, shining brightly in the dark night. "Captain Valken, I hope this is the last time I hear you ask me such an impolite question."
Valken felt that he had been rude. The princess in front of him was completely different from the princess in his memory. He knelt on one knee and performed a knight's salute. "I'm sorry, princess. I won't do it again."
The knights who were knocked on the door by Cecilia herself came down quickly, and a total of six people quickly headed in the abnormal direction.
Because of the original owner's bad reputation, although he did not make things difficult for them along the way, he woke them up in the middle of the night to perform in front of Prince Mel, and the knights of lower status dared not say anything.
Cecilia knew that these people were complaining about her in their hearts, but she had no choice but to pray secretly that nothing would happen to Mel, so that it would be worth it for her to take the blame.
Unfortunately, Cecilia's prayers were unsuccessful.
When Cecilia and her group arrived, the hotel where Mel was staying had been completely looted. The guards who had secretly thanked Cecilia before leaving were now lying on the floor or against the wall in the hotel lobby.
Everyone had wounds of varying degrees, and there were traces of blood splatter on the wooden floors and wallpapers.
The knight, who was still grumbling in his heart behind Cecilia, was stunned for a moment.
Cecilia didn't care about much else and said, "Go find Mel!"
As she spoke, she walked towards the nearest guard and used magic to quickly stop his bleeding.
Seeing that the other party's wound was not very deep, Cecilia performed a simple hemostasis and quickly found the next wounded person. Looking around, she saw Valken was still there, "Go find a doctor, go quickly!"
Valken stayed by my side, "I have to protect your safety!"
Cecilia's eyes were red with anxiety. "Is it because of my status as a princess that I cannot command you? If so, at dawn you will take my handwritten order and go back to Petra to explain to my father!"
Valken gritted his teeth and said, "I'll go now. Please be careful."
