HP Peter Can't Be That Cute

Chapter 20 Secret Base

After experiencing the swamp crisis, the relationship between the foursome and Newt has grown stronger. It can be said that they are now a group of five and are inseparable every day. It seems that Newt has a strange relationship with Peter. He will blush and stutter nervously when he sees him, but overall their feelings are still very deep. Newt even introduced his secret base to the foursome.

In the secret base, they played with Newt's magical creatures, played wizard chess, talked about Quidditch, and talked about girls.

It's just that when they talked about girls, the resources were a little scarce and awkward. For example, Sirius was not interested in girls at all. The only impression he had was his overbearing and tyrannical mother, and those hypocritical sisters, or the noisy women pursuing him. He had no good impression of them.

"Women are troublesome animals. I'm not interested in them!" Sirius said coolly while playing with a pen in his hand and leaning against the window. He looked a little melancholy. Of course, he might be thinking about his mother, family, and future...

“Not entirely, Rita is… very nice and takes good care of me… There are good girls too…” Newt retorted, but as he spoke he glanced at Peter who was holding Niffler in the corner, and he looked timid as if he was worried that Peter would be angry.

"Newt is right, not all of them are troublesome. For example, Lily Evans is pretty good, right, Lupin!" James' words suddenly became more shy, and he insisted on talking about Lupin who was reading a book on the side.

Lupin was startled, then smiled and said, "Yes, Evans is really good, kind and enthusiastic, very helpful and excellent." He looked at Peter, hoping that he would support his point of view, after all, they always ran into Lily when studying in the library. Peter should have a good feeling about Lily Evans, because he remembered that Peter would always blush and even stutter when excited.

"Ah? I don't want to raise a Niffler..." Alayya was still immersed in the fantasy of raising a Niffler and getting rich, and didn't notice that the topic had changed to "Are women troublesome creatures?"

James and Sirius covered their foreheads with black lines on their faces. Peter might not even understand love yet, let alone women!

When Sirius thought about this, he felt inexplicably better and suddenly laughed. The melancholy look in his eyes disappeared and he put down the snake in his hand. Why should he play with such a gloomy animal? Wasn't the little mouse cute?

"Sirius, what are you laughing at?" Alayya always felt that Sirius was "laughing" at her

"Peter, you are still very young...you will understand when you grow up!" Sirius laughed really happily. Peter knows women? It's better to say that Snotlout likes to wash his hair.

"Lily Evans is indeed very good, but her choice of friends is not very good!" James thought of Lily and thought of Snivellus. When he thought of Snivellus, he thought of them not having time to retaliate! He couldn't be injured in vain and go to the hospital wing.

"When we get back, we can't let that Snotlout go!" James slammed the table hard, and the sleeping young Mandrake on the table was awakened, bursting into sharp tears, and James fainted from crying.

"Where are you going back to? Are you talking about those Slytherins?" Newt thought they wanted to take revenge on those Slytherins, and he covered his ears with his hands to anticipate the cry of the Mandrake.

Lupin and Sirius also predicted the situation, but one of them blocked his own ears and then covered Alaia's ears, while the other one subconsciously caught the unconscious James and fell unconscious himself.

Then everyone's division of labor became clear. Newt hurriedly dealt with the mandrake, while Lupin and Alaia dragged Sirius and James to lie down on the sofa in the secret base.

They finally knew where Newt stayed at night, and also knew why Newt was not there when they traveled through time. Alaiya liked his secret base very much, and he kept it very clean and tidy.

The cages contained magical creatures that Alayya had never seen before, and the abandoned pools contained even more. She could even reach out and touch those legendary fish.

"It would be nice to have a unicorn~" Alayya muttered to herself as she sat by the pool. Although Newt seemed a little reluctant to get close to Alayya, he couldn't help but "correct" Alayya's thoughts.

"Unicorns are the spirits of nature. They are noble and holy. They should not be tamed by wizards. They should live in the forest..."

"Then why do you keep so many?" Alayya pointed at the creatures around her unconvinced...

“That… this… is different…” Newt looked at Alaiya again. He didn’t know if he was angry or something, but he blushed again. “These are… rescued by me… If I don’t take care of them… and help them with their treatment… they will… die…”

Newt's eyes started to wander around in that "sneaky" way again, and Alaiya saw it. She was very upset, so she simply stepped forward and grabbed his collar and made him look directly at her. "Then if you have something to say, just say it nicely. Why are you looking around? I don't eat people!"

The moment he was forced to look into each other's eyes, Newt jumped up as if he had been electrocuted and took several steps back, "No...no..." But there was a tremor in his voice.

"Why should I hide without you?" Alayya simply stood on tiptoe and held his face with both hands. It was frighteningly hot, and his face had the expression of a panicked young wife. She shook her head and forgot to dodge.

"I... didn't..." Newt couldn't say it. When he saved Peter that night, he felt that he was not actually a boy. Although Peter looked silly, Peter's chest was not exactly the same as a boy's. It pressed against his back, making him feel hot all over whenever he thought about it.

Moreover, Newt had a very good understanding of magical creatures. Wizards were, after all, just animals. He could still tell the male from the female. His sensitive sense of smell had already detected Peter's scent, but he did not think of it as a girl. After all, what girl would live in a boys' dormitory with a group of boys?

But now that it has happened, Newt can only hide and... help Peter keep the secret. He believes there must be some unspeakable secret, and as a friend he doesn't want to rub salt into Peter's wounds.

However, he became more and more curious about Peter, and paid more attention to her, and found that Peter was really a special "girl". Different from any girl he had met, the more he got to know her, the more he found that Peter had a very interesting soul...
