Moonlight and wind

Chapter 64 Exposed?

Shan Zimo was pulled out of Meiyeyou City by Shan Boyu. Shan Boyu swiftly tore off the black gauze on Shan Zimo's face and the smiling fox mask behind his head and put them into his bag. His movements were smooth and seamless, leaving Shan Zimo no chance to get a word in!

Before Shan Zimo could react, Shan Boyu had already helped him onto the horse. "Hey!" Shan Zimo looked at the busy Shan Boyu speechlessly. Before he could continue speaking, Shan Boyu's whip had already hit his horse's butt. The horse galloped away with a bang, and only Shan Zimo's cursing voice could be heard getting farther and farther away...

Finally, the horse stopped not far from the destination. Shan Boyu trotted over to help Shan Zimo off the horse. Shan Zimo raised his hand to hit him, but Shan Boyu smiled foolishly and said, "Wrong, wrong, Shan Boyu is wrong!" Shan Zimo was so angry that he withdrew his trembling hand.

"What time is it now?"

"My Lord," Shan Boyu looked at the bright moon above his head, "It's midnight."

"Are we here early?"

"It's almost there, it's almost there," Shan Boyu said as he found a hidden place to tie up the horse, "Young master, let's go to the transaction place in advance and hide." Shan Zimo nodded, and the two of them walked towards the transaction place stealthily.

The agreed transaction location was in the deepest part of the woods, where there were dense trees. Although it was winter and there were no leaves, the intertwined branches were extremely dense, making it very easy to hide. The two men squatted down behind a bush.

Shan Boyu was seen squatting, putting his hands into his sleeves and shrinking his neck.

"Can you stop looking like you're squatting?" Shan Zimo said with disdain. Shan Boyu smiled and imitated Shan Zimo, kneeling on one knee and looking out with one hand.

Suddenly, there was a rustling sound in the woods. "Hush, someone is coming!"

Under the moonlight, a young man jumped into their sight. The young man came to the trading location and looked around, as if he was looking for something. As he searched, he got closer and closer to where Shan Zimo and the others were hiding.

The moment he pushed aside the branches and saw Shan Zimo, the boy turned and ran, but Shan Zimo grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back.

"I didn't see anything! I don't know anything!" The boy struggled desperately in Shan Zimo's hands.

"Li?" Shan Zimo recognized the voice.

"Sir?" The young man also recognized Shan Zimo's voice and immediately covered his eyes with his hands. "I didn't see your face, Sir. Please let Li go!"

"I can put you down, but you can't run away, otherwise," Shan Zimo whispered in Li's ear insidiously, "I will gouge out your eyes!"

"Don't run! Don't run! If I run away, I will be your son!" Shan Zimo let go of Li. Shan Boyu was already standing in front of him. The two of them attacked him from the front and back. Li had no intention of escaping anymore.

"Tell me, what are you looking for?" Shan Zimo crossed his hands in front of his chest, looking at Li with a slight smile on his face.

"How about we find a place to hide first?" Li looked around vigilantly.

Shan Boyu nodded, and the three of them squatted back in the place where they had been hiding. "Can you tell me now?" Shan Zimo asked.

"I was resting in a small teahouse in Meiyeyou City and heard three people planning something. Although I didn't hear the whole thing, I only heard that there would be 1,000 taels of silver here today. I was obsessed with money, so I showed up here and met the two gentlemen."

Seeing that Li didn't seem to be lying, the two did not pursue the matter. "Did you see the appearance of those three people clearly?"

"There were two people who were more clear. The younger one was sitting opposite them. One of them had two axes beside him, and the other had a stick behind him."

"Yes, it seems you didn't lie."

"You don't dare!"

"What does the third person look like?" Shan Zimo continued to ask.

"I really didn't see him. He had his back to me and didn't have any weapons on him. But..." Li tried to recall, "I noticed that the smiling fox mask on the back of his head was very unique."

"Is there anything special about this smiling fox mask?" Shan Zimo asked Shan Boyu.

"Most of these masks are made of paper pulp. Of course, the more sophisticated ones are carved from logs. Your mask is made of the finest southern Xinjiang Dalbergia odorifera wood. As for the smaller masks," Shan Boyu curled his lips, "they are made of paper pulp."

"Yes, that person's mask is rarely plated with gold. It is particularly conspicuous under the light!" Li said softly.

"He's quite a high-profile person!" Shan Zimo thought.

"Shh!" Li made a gesture to silence others, and then Dan Zimo and the others noticed a dark shadow moving in the bushes not far away.

The black shadow came to a big tree, jumped lightly onto a branch, and hid between the intertwined branches.

"Is it him?" Shan Zimo asked Li.

"You really flatter me," Li said with a wry smile. "I don't have a clairvoyance. It's pitch dark here, how can I see anything? Besides, even if he was standing in front of me, I wouldn't recognize him. Apart from that smiling fox mask, I don't know anything else!" The three of them were silent in the dark, staring at the dark shadow on the tree, and no longer spoke.

The time soon came to midnight, and apart from the black shadow, no one else appeared.

"So, the black shadow is the person who came to trade." Shan Zimo thought for a while, "Let's go out and get him!"

"You are the only one among us who has some fighting power. I can't rely on you. I wonder how strong this little brother is?" Shan Boyu looked at Li who was standing beside him.

Li waved his hands quickly, indicating that he had no force. "You still have to rely on me!" Shan Zimo smiled crookedly, stood up, walked out from behind the bushes, and came under the big tree.

"Brother up there, come down!" Shan Zimo shouted at the tree.

"Who are you?" asked the black shadow.

"My name remains unchanged, I am Li Kui, the King of Ghost Axe!" As soon as he said this, Shan Boyu spat on the ground.

"never heard of that!"

"Hasn't this been heard now?"

"What's your business?"

"Didn't we agree that we would exchange the money and the goods here today? Axe is my elder brother, and I am here to get the money for him today."

"Where are the goods?" the black shadow continued to ask.

"My two brothers think that stuff is worth more than one thousand taels!" Shan Zimo said proudly with his hands folded in front of his chest.

"Are you going to raise the price?"

"Do you know how difficult it is to climb the mountain behind the Snow Shadow Hall? It will be even more difficult to bring that guy out!"

"How much do you want?"

"It has to be at least 10,000 taels!" Upon hearing this number, Shan Boyu and Li looked at each other with their eyes almost popping out.

"What kind of business is this? It's so valuable? Why don't you take the younger one with you in the future?" Li asked Shan Boyu in a low voice.

“Ten thousand taels? Hahaha,” the black shadow said with a smile, “Why don’t you just let that thing rot in your hands? Don’t want it!”

"No, you just say no? Are you that casual?" Shan Zimo put his hands on his hips and shouted at the tree, "Do you have any sense of contract?" After hearing this, Shan Boyu spat on the ground again.

"I think you guys at Snow Shadow Hall are quite interested in that thing, why not keep it!"

As soon as the black shadow finished speaking, Li looked at Shan Boyu and asked, "Are you from the Snow Shadow Hall?"
