Accelerator clicked his tongue impatiently, watching Kirito and Misaka Mikoto dawdle, and suddenly swung his right hand at the car next to him.

"You're so noisy and nagging!"

The car was thrown at the other person like a toy, its whistling wind obscuring Kirito's vision.

Kirito didn't dodge; instead, he slashed out with his sword.

A flash of silvery-white sword light cleaved the car in two, the metal at the break still sparking with intense heat. The two halves of the car crashed heavily to the ground with a deafening roar.

Accelerator's figure instantly closed in: "Let me enjoy this a little longer!"

As he spoke, his right hand, imbued with the power to twist the airflow, aimed straight at Kirito's face.

Kirito's pupils contracted sharply. As he dodged to the side, he swept his longsword across the opponent's waist and abdomen with his left hand, but Accelerator easily deflected it with vector manipulation.

The moment the swords clashed, a tremendous force traveled up Kirito's arm, sending him flying. He crashed into the car bumper behind him before barely managing to regain his balance.

Accelerator scoffed, "No matter how many times you try, it's useless."

Kirito understood this principle, so he focused on dodging in the ensuing battles.

Instead of futilely trying to cause damage, focus on restraining her and buying time for Misaka Mikoto.

He moved nimbly through the parking lot, sometimes using cars to dodge attacks, and sometimes using his twin swords to parry projectiles.

Meanwhile, Misaka Mikoto arrived at the upper-level electrical distribution box, where a green indicator light showed that it was still working normally.

With a loud "bang," Mikoto slammed her fist into the electrical box.

Sparks flew everywhere, and with a "sizzle," current surged into the hub along the wires.

Instantly, all the lights in the parking lot went out at the same time, leaving only the emergency lights flashing a faint red light, plunging the entire space into darkness.

"What the hell?" Accelerator frowned.

The obstructed view slowed his attack rhythm by half a beat, but his vector manipulation still allowed him to sense changes in the surrounding airflow, so the battle was not greatly affected.

Just then, Kirito suddenly sped up, quickly weaving through the parking lot, his longsword occasionally slicing across the hoods or windows of cars.

"Beep beep beep—!" One car alarm after another was triggered, the sharp sound echoing continuously in the enclosed underground space.

Accelerator was getting impatient: "Always resorting to petty tricks."

Neither the dark environment nor the loud noise could affect him in essence, but it could increase his computational workload significantly.

Accelerator then turned his attention to the cars parked around him.

He swung his right hand violently, and the vector impact sent several cars flying and crushing them until they were completely silent.

"What?" Accelerator was stunned for a moment, then he realized what had happened.

He turned to look in the direction the sound came from and saw a large amount of river water gushing out of the ventilation ducts. Water was also seeping from the cracks in the emergency exit doors. The turbid river water was like a beast breaking free of its restraints, pouring wildly into the parking lot.

At that moment, on the other side of the parking lot, Misaka Mikoto looked at the twenty-meter-wide gap that had been blasted open in her body and touched her hair with a guilty conscience.

"Isn't this... a bit too much?" Misaka Mikoto muttered to herself.

They quickly retreated to higher levels to avoid the swift current.

Inside the underground parking lot, the water level is rising at a visible rate.

Within thirty seconds, the river water had risen from their ankles to their waists.

A minute later, the low-slung car was completely submerged, with only a small corner of its roof sticking out of the water.

Accelerator could no longer care about Kirito and the alarm; his body was completely submerged in the river.

Her left hand unconsciously loosened its grip, and Misaka Sister was swept away by the current to the other side.

Accelerator instinctively activated his vector manipulation, creating an invisible barrier around his body to isolate himself from the river.

"How could they do such a thing!"

Is this treating the entire underground parking garage like an 'open water tank,' then frantically filling it with water, regardless of whether both sides suffer losses?

No, I won't get hurt. If anyone's going to die, it'll be that guy first.

With this in mind, Accelerator did not immediately leave, but instead turned his attention to Kirito.

Before long, Kirito crossed the dimensional barrier again and reunited with Misaka Mikoto on the upper level.

Seeing that he was empty-handed, Misaka Mikoto hurriedly asked, "Where's the child? Is he alright?"

"Don't worry, we've taken him to a safe place." Kirito wiped the water droplets from his face and pointed downwards: "We need to get out of here quickly, or we'll be in trouble."

"Is this...a hospital in Academy City?"

Misaka Mikoto slowed her pace, her gaze sweeping over the wards on both sides of the corridor. She felt a strange sense of familiarity, yet her intuition told her that something was different.

Kirito's answer was also ambiguous: "Yes and no."

Misaka Mikoto's head immediately went blank. What kind of answer was that?

She wanted to ask more questions, but then she saw the door to a hospital room not far away suddenly being pushed open.

A Misaka Sister emerged from within, her expression remaining blank upon seeing the two: "You're back?"
