Devil's Army

Chapter 757: Golden Eagle vs. the Japs

The ten Golden Eagle II drones that attacked the Japanese tanks were led by Captain Guo and rushed towards the 45 Type 89 tanks of the Japanese outside the gate of Gu'an County.

The Japanese tank soldiers had never encountered an opponent on the Chinese battlefield. They were so arrogant and insolent that they did not notice the danger approaching them.

Captain Guo and his ten Golden Eagle II drones each aimed at a Japanese tank.

"Open fire!" With the order from Captain Guo, ten Golden Eagle II drones with ten air-to-ground missiles on their bellies, dragging flames, rushed towards the Japanese tanks that had been aimed at on the ground.

As a series of explosions sounded on the enemy's positions, the ten Type 89 medium tanks in front of Gu'an County were destroyed almost at the same time. Some turrets were blown off, some tracks were blown off, and some front guards were blown with big holes.

The Japanese were obviously startled by the sudden explosion and were at a loss. Most of the 91st Army's defenders in Gu'an City had been lying under the rubble and did not witness this wonderful scene. Only a few sentinels who were staring at the Japanese saw this scene and shouted to their battalion commander in surprise:

"Battalion Commander, Battalion Commander, the Japanese iron turtles suddenly exploded."

When Captain Wu heard the soldiers' shouts, he hurriedly looked towards the city of Gu'an.

At this time, Captain Guo's ten Golden Eagle II drones had each re-aimed at the target and opened fire in succession.

Another series of melodious explosions were heard, and another ten Type 89 medium tanks of the Japanese outside Gu'an City were blown to pieces one after another.

At this time, some Japanese soldiers had already discovered the Golden Eagle II drone that was attacking their tanks from the air, and they all raised their guns and shot at the Golden Eagle II drone in the sky.

Unfortunately, they couldn't reach the height and had no anti-aircraft weapons, so they could only call for reinforcements from the Air Force.

The successive explosions of the Japanese tanks outside Gu'an City seemed to have injected a shot of adrenaline into the soldiers of the 91st Division inside Gu'an City, and they shouted loudly with excitement.

Captain Wu asked the remaining company-level cadres around him, and the second company commander said:

"Which unit is this? They have such powerful weapons?"

The second company commander also looked confused and shook his head at Battalion Commander Wu.

At this time, the Japanese planes that were still circling in the air and bombing the officers and soldiers of the 91st Division also discovered the small aircraft-like flying machines outside Gu'an County and rushed towards Captain Guo and his men. The two Type machine guns on the front of the plane "tat tat..." fired at the Golden Eagle II.

A Type 95 fighter jet of the Japanese army was the first to attack Captain Guo's Golden Eagle II. Captain Guo had no time to arrange to attack the remaining tanks of the Japanese army, and ordered the Army Aviation soldiers to evacuate quickly.

Although the flying speed of the Golden Eagle II is much slower than that of the Japanese Type 110 fighter, averaging only kilometers per hour, its flexibility is much greater.

The Japanese plane quickly caught up with Captain Guo's Golden Eagle, and the two Type 89 machine guns on the nose of the plane spit out fierce flames at Captain Guo's Golden Eagle.

Captain Guo maneuvered the Golden Eagle to dive down at almost a ninety-degree angle, then leveled the nose of the plane more than ten meters above the ground and flew away close to the ground.

This operation stunned the Japanese pilot. He did not expect that the Chinese pilot had such superb flying skills.

The golden eagle on Captain Guo’s left was not so lucky.

A Japanese fighter plane was chasing it, firing non-stop. The golden eagle swerved left and right, trying to get rid of the Japanese pursuit, but it still couldn't escape.

The golden eagle was hit by several bullets in succession, and its pilot began to have difficulty controlling it. Finally, the aviation soldier who was piloting it adjusted its flight direction before the golden eagle completely lost control and smashed it into the Japanese.

The Golden Eagle crashed down next to a Japanese tank. The two remaining surface-to-air missiles in its belly and the two spare surface-to-air missiles in its belly exploded in the violent collision.

The huge shock wave generated by the explosion blew away all the Japanese soldiers within a radius of about 89 meters around it, and the Japanese Type medium tank next to it was also overturned to the ground.

After Captain Guo got rid of the Japanese fighter plane that was chasing him, he increased his flying altitude, but unexpectedly discovered that another Japanese fighter plane was slowing down and chasing one of their Golden Eagle IIs.

The Golden Eagle II was already shaking a bit while flying, and it was obvious that it had been hit by a bullet.

Captain Guo increased the speed of the Golden Eagle, and when the sight locked onto the Japanese fighter again, he fired decisively. The air-to-ground missile roared and chased the Japanese fighter below.

With a loud "boom", the Japanese Type 95 fighter was blown into two pieces by the Golden Eagle's air-to-ground missile.

Captain Guo's Golden Eagle was too close to the Japanese fighter plane, and was almost thrown off control by the shock wave from the Japanese fighter plane's explosion. Captain Guo managed to stabilize his Golden Eagle No. 2 with great difficulty.

Another team of Golden Eagle IIs, led by Deputy Captain Wu, flew over the Japanese heavy artillery position.

Since the Japanese heavy artillery positions were not equipped with anti-aircraft weapons, Deputy Captain Wu and his comrades approached the Japanese heavy artillery positions directly and launched air-to-ground missiles.

Explosions rang out one after another at the Japanese heavy artillery positions, thick smoke billowed, and the heavy artillery pieces turned into pieces and scattered across the heavy artillery positions.

The Japanese artillerymen on the heavy artillery position were blown to pieces, with broken limbs and arms flying everywhere, suffering heavy casualties, and wailing everywhere.
