The Chinese defenders had to climb the city walls under artillery fire to stop the Japanese.

At this time, the two battalions of Japanese soldiers from Liangwangzhuang also came to reinforce, and fierce artillery fire continuously bombarded the east and west border villages of Jinghai County.

The Japanese planes came to help, and Jinghai County was engulfed in flames.

Historically, Jinghai County fell under the three-sided attack of the Japanese invaders, and the 657th Regiment had to withdraw from Jinghai County with less than a battalion of troops. At this time, Jinghai County was still struggling with the support of the rd Regiment of the st Army.

The Third Regiment, which lacked heavy weapons, had to use the flesh and blood of its soldiers to stop the enemy's attack. The commander of the Third Regiment transferred the Second Battalion, which was originally intended to reinforce the First Battalion, to help defend the eastern border village, and the Third Battalion was transferred to help defend the western border village.
