After the 3rd and 4th Regiments of the 12th Brigade and the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army occupied Leishan, they continued to advance towards Yantai.

When the troops arrived at the Yantai West Fort, they were bombarded by Japanese artillery.

The artillery of the 12th Brigade immediately counterattacked, but was suppressed by the Japanese artillery.

After receiving the request for help from the 12th Brigade, the Jinan Air Force quickly rushed to provide support.

The anti-aircraft artillery of the Japanese West Fort fired fiercely into the air to prevent the Devil Force's air force from bombing their artillery.

After the infantry occupied the outer positions of the West Fort under the cover of artillery, they continued to attack the main position of the West Fort.

After more than an hour of fierce fighting, the 3rd Regiment took the lead in breaking through the Japanese West Fort defense line from the north and then continued to advance deeper.

The northern defense line of the West Fort was breached, triggering the rout of the Japanese troops there. The Jinan Air Force added fuel to the fire, continuously dropping bombs on the fleeing Japanese troops.

The road leading to Yantai was littered with the bodies of Japanese soldiers.

When the soldiers of the 12th Brigade and the Eighth Route Army who were attacking the West Fort arrived in Yantai, the 1st and 2nd Regiments of the 12th Brigade and another unit of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army were already attacking Yantai.

The Japanese troops in Weihai and Yantai were closely connected. When Yantai was attacked by the Devil Army and the Eighth Route Army, he still sent troops to reinforce from the east.

The Jinan Air Force quickly notified the 12th Brigade through the Jinan Air Force Command.

The brigade commander arranged for the third regiment to build a defense line east of Yantai to block the Japanese reinforcements from Weihaiwei.

The 4th Regiment was also arranged to attack the rear of the Japanese army in Weihaiwei and prevent the Japanese army in Weihaiwei from retreating to Weihaiwei.

When the Japanese troops in Weihai entered the ambush circle of the Third Regiment, they were subjected to fierce fire from the soldiers of the Third Regiment.

The Japanese troops in Weihai failed to break out from all directions and had to ask their superiors for help.

After a while, the Japanese warships anchored on the sea launched a fierce bombardment on the Third Regiment with their naval guns.

The First Army Air Force, having received the intelligence, quickly flew over and launched a fierce bombing and strafing attack on the warships on the sea surface of Yantai.

The Japanese warships opened their anti-aircraft firepower at full capacity, weaving a fire net to intercept the air bombing of the Devil Force's fighter planes.

The two sides fought fiercely for nearly an hour, and the First Aviation Squadron arrived in Yantai.

One after another, cruise missiles with orange-red flames emitted from the belly of the Golden Eagle No. 5 drone flew towards the Japanese warships on the sea.

The Japanese warships were fully engaged in a battle with the Devil Force's air force and were not on guard against the sea-skimming cruise missiles.
