The Japanese army entered Lushun after the Russo-Japanese War in 1905, and there was a concentrated residence of 1.4 Japanese in Taiyanggou.

From 1905 to 1943, during the 38 years, the Japanese invaders carried out large-scale urban construction based on the urban areas demarcated by Tsarist Russia.

At that time, important institutions established by Japan in Lushun, such as the Kwantung Governor-General's Office and the Kwantung Army Headquarters, were all located in this area.

There were still more than 20,000 Japanese troops retreating to Taiyanggou.

When the battle of Taiyanggou was in a stalemate, the warships of the First Army left behind in Lushun landed on the sea with two battalions of soldiers from a brigade on board and launched a fierce attack on the Japanese troops in Taiyanggou from the south.

The warship's naval guns provided fire support to the landing brigade of soldiers.

Because the two battalions of the 1st Brigade caught the Japanese army off guard, they quickly broke through the Japanese defense line south of Taiyanggou and continued to advance deeper.

Then, the warships of the First Army continued to send the soldiers of the Third and Fourth Battalions of the Third Regiment of the First Brigade and the Third Regiment of the Third Brigade to Taiyanggou from the south.

As soon as the soldiers of the 3rd Regiment of the 1st Brigade and the 3rd Regiment of the 3rd Brigade set foot on the south bank of Taiyanggou, they immediately advanced deep into the left and right sides of Taiyanggou from the broken defense line.

The Japanese troops in Taiyanggou were attacked from three directions by the soldiers of the First Army and were forced to retreat step by step.
