Devil's Army

Chapter 135 Testing the Effects of Penicillin

After Leng Feng refused to go with Miao Nana to deliver the fish, Gray Wolf and Wen Wolf continued to sit by the pond and talk.

"Captain, penicillin has been extracted successfully. So far, more than 30 boxes of penicillin have been produced. Although the laboratory has repeatedly tested that this batch of penicillin does not contain patulin, I am still a little worried because I have not actually tried it."

"Just give it a try if you're not sure. We still have so many injured people in our hospital who need penicillin."

"You mean to use our wounded for experiments? What if this batch of penicillin contains patulin which we have not detected? Then it will not be a cure but a kill." Wen Lang said worriedly.

"Grey Wolf, how many Korean Japanese soldiers are there left?" Leng Feng asked while skipping a stone into the pond.

"There are still nearly three hundred people. What's the matter?"

"Will there be conflicts among so many people? Will conflicts lead to injuries? Or will our soldiers have conflicts with them and accidentally hurt them? Should the injured be sent to the hospital for treatment?"

"Understood. Our soldiers will have a conflict with them tomorrow and accidentally injure a few of them. They will then be sent to the hospital for penicillin treatment."

After hearing this, Wenlang gave a thumbs up and praised, "That's great, really great."

After dinner, the Oroqen people lit several fires in the tribe and held a bonfire party. Leng Feng was invited by the Miao leader to participate in their bonfire party. The Oroqen people sang and danced around the bonfire and had a great time.

Except for those on sentry duty, all the other soldiers sat on the playground and watched the Spring Festival Gala on the stage. Each squadron took turns to perform their own plays or small shows.

The next morning, the sun was shining brightly. Gray Wolf called a team leader and whispered something in his ear. The team leader thought he had heard it wrong, so he used his right hand to pick his ear and looked at Gray Wolf.

"Go, stop daydreaming and get this done for me by noon."

"Yes," the team leader saluted and left.

At noon, a riot broke out in the Korean Japanese prison, and Gray Wolf rushed over to deal with it.

Five Korean Japanese soldiers were seen in the prison with dagger wounds on their arms or legs, crouching in a corner of the prison and groaning. Other Korean Japanese soldiers were held at gunpoint by guards outside the prison, crouching on the ground with their hands on their heads.

Gray Wolf went over and called out five injured Korean Japanese soldiers. The five Korean Japanese soldiers chattered and gestured with their hands.

Gray Wolf got the gist of it. The five Korean Japanese soldiers accused the soldiers of mistreating them and adding sand to their lunch. Then they had an argument with the soldiers, which led to a physical fight. The soldiers even pulled out knives and stabbed the five of them.

Gray Wolf criticized the five soldiers "harshly".

"How can you treat these North Korean dogs like this? They are just dogs who recognize the thief as their father."

The five soldiers' faces flushed as they tried to hold back their laughter. They kept their heads down and dared not say a word.

The five Korean Japanese soldiers came over and tried to persuade them to make peace, either because they were afraid that the soldiers would take revenge on them later or because they wanted to be peacemakers.

"You five dogs, stop barking. I am educating my soldiers." Gray Wolf said in a friendly manner.

No one could understand what the Gray Wolves and the Korean Japanese soldiers were saying to each other, it was like a chicken talking to a deaf person.

"Send them to the hospital immediately." Gray Wolf shouted at a team leader.

"Yes," the team leader saluted, led the five soldiers to put down their guns, and gestured to the five Korean Japanese soldiers to follow them.

The five Korean Japanese soldiers looked at Gray Wolf in confusion, and Gray Wolf waved at them, signaling them to follow a small team leader.

When they arrived at the hospital, a team leader found Yuan Wanting and said:

"Dean Yuan, these five prisoners are injured. Please take care of them."

Yuan Wanting was about to ask how she got injured when a team leader handed her a box of medicine.

"What is this?" Yuan Wanting asked.

"This is our own penicillin."

"Which team are you from?"

"Report, we are from the first squadron, first squadron, first battalion."

"Only Gray Wolf can come up with such a hurtful trick." Yuan Wanting revealed the truth of the matter in one sentence.

At this time, the team leader and the five soldiers couldn't hold back any longer and burst into laughter, holding their stomachs.

The five Korean Japanese soldiers were laughed at for no apparent reason.

Yuan Wanting treated the wounds of the five Korean Japanese soldiers, gave them injections of penicillin, and then asked a team leader to send them back.

Every day before lunch thereafter, the team leader and the five soldiers took the five Korean Japanese soldiers to the hospital to "check" their wounds.

The five Korean Japanese soldiers felt embarrassed when they saw the captain and his men were so concerned about them, and they chattered with them. The captain did not respond to them because he could not understand them at all.

At noon on the third day, Yuan Wanting said to the team leader, "Okay, their wounds have all healed well, so there's no need to bring them here tomorrow."

"Oh, we don't have to walk the dog starting tomorrow?" asked a team leader.

Yuan Wanting rolled her eyes at the team leader and cursed:

"Your captain is not a good person to follow. He only learns dirty tricks."

The team leader smiled, saluted, and led them away.
