HP: For a better world
Chapter 95 School starts
Steam spewed into the air and the train tooted.
Winster came over dragging a suitcase with
Summer's birdcage was empty. Winster squeezed through the crowd with difficulty and walked to a slightly sparse semicircular space that was inadvertently left among the crowd.
Every train station was packed with people. He was late today and should have arrived earlier. Winster thought angrily, but the rare relaxation made him oversleep.
However, it seems that the trains are always so busy before school starts every year.
Winster's eyes swept through the crowd.
Luo said he would wait for him at the train station.
But no one saw it. Only the adults around noticed that the boy seemed to be looking for something and forgot to hide their eyes.
Perhaps because he had been in the newspapers for a week, the wizards who were still staying at the train station after dropping off their children were already impressed by his appearance in the Daily Prophet.
Malfoy followed the contract perfectly and built up momentum for him. Now everyone had the impression of a potion genius, and they were just waiting for the good news from the Apothecary Association to be widely publicized.
"--Winster--this way!"
Luo Ou leaned out of the car window and waved. Jenny, who was sitting next to him, turned her head towards him.
Mike and Carl were in the next car, holding a small dragon mold and pretending to fly in the air. Colum, who was still reading a book, turned his head and waved his hand, with a genuine smile on his face. Oh, no. Colum didn't hear it. Mike gave him an elbow to wake him up from the novel, and he quickly waved to Winster.
Winster responded to them with amusement, made an OK gesture to Luo, and prepared to find a platform with fewer people to squeeze on.
...The Malfoys are here too.
Winster's eyes swept through the crowd and stopped at the Lucius family who were saying goodbye. They also noticed Winster and stopped to say goodbye.
Lucius Malfoy whispered a few words and came over with his wife and son in his arms.
Winster immediately gave a polite yet warm smile reflexively... To be honest, his face became a little stiff after smiling for so many days.
They exchanged a few pleasantries, and Winster responded politely.
But Malfoy didn't just come to say hello to his new partner, but...
"Things are going very smoothly. You should be able to hear good news soon after school starts," Lucius told Winster. "To show my sincerity, I have prepared a surprise. I hope you won't be surprised then, my dear Mr. White."
"Sir, you agreed to call me Winster." Winster said in a tone full of regret.
Malfoy immediately replied tactfully: "Sorry, Winster, but you should also change your way of addressing me to uncle." He eased his arrogant look and glanced at Winster with a reproachful look.
"Then uncle, I'll be waiting for your 'surprise'."
Winster laughed.
Seeing that they had finished their hypocrisy, Draco seized the opportunity and interjected, "...The train is urging us, Winston, maybe it's time for us to get on the train."
Lucius agreed with this, and in order to leave space for their classmates to get along with each other, he and Narcissa chose to leave early.
Narcissa touched Draco's face reluctantly, but due to the presence of the orphan Winston, she could only restrain herself from stroking Draco's big back hair with her fingers.
"...Mom, I'm not a child anymore." Draco said helplessly.
Lucius raised his chin wordlessly at his son.
"Remember to write home," he said majestically.
Draco nodded and watched them go.
"Let's go, Winster." Draco said naturally, "Let's go pick an empty carriage. Go a little to the front and there will be Slytherins who will save seats for us."
"We have to wait," Winster said, "I'm waiting for Summer."
"Summer? Who?" Draco saw his empty birdcage. "Your owl?"
Winster nodded in confirmation, his tone a little helpless: "Yes, I asked her to help me deliver something last night because it was raining and she was angry with me."
Draco gave a mocking smile and proudly showed off his owl, "You spoil it too much. Look at mine, it's very obedient."
Winster followed his gaze and saw a large owl.
It glanced at him coldly.
"It's an eagle owl," said Draco.
"Winster!"
There was a shout from behind Winster. He looked over almost at the same time as Draco - the difference was that Winster turned around, while Draco just raised his head.
"Oh, Granger," Draco said, pouting, his expression still looking unimpressed.
*
"Oh."
Ron said.
"...Oh." Ron slowly squeezed out a few syllables from his throat.
He pursed his lips, looked at Winston, who was standing with Malfoy, then at Harry... and Hermione.
As if he understood something, he found a brand new dress robe in his suitcase.
Hermione was chatting and laughing with Mrs. Weasley behind him, looking around. Harry was standing in front of her, looking at him strangely.
He stopped in his tracks.
"?" Harry asked when he saw Ron stop: "What's wrong, Ron? Have you found Winster? We have to return Summer to him."
He pointed to the cage.
The two birds, one brown and one white, huddled together closely, wings touching - the cage was a little too small for them.
The twins continued to push their luggage past them, chatting and laughing.
He also patted Ron's shoulder vigorously and playfully.
They ran to the platform laughing and joking.
Ron coughed violently after being slapped, and responded vaguely.
"Over there," he pointed to an area across the crowd where people were slightly dispersed, "Malfoy is talking to him."
Harry looked in the direction he pointed. The Malfoys always stood very conspicuously, and the wizards would unconsciously make a small space for them - the Malfoy family was surrounding Winston, smiling maliciously.
He suddenly became worried, "How could it be? No way, did Winston offend them? Why would Malfoy surround him? Do you want to go over and take a look?"
"Oh!" Hermione was looking around and was hit by their luggage parked in the middle of the road. She leaned against their stacked boxes to stand firm and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Mrs. Weasley came up behind Hermione and asked as she saw them stop.
"What's wrong, kids?"
Harry shook his head quickly.
"Nothing, Mum," Ron replied, "We're just waiting for some friends."
As expected, Mrs. Weasley didn't ask any more questions and walked away with Ginny.
Perhaps she was more anxious to keep an eye on George and Fred, even though she had searched their suitcases carefully.
Ron and Harry could even hear the twins in front of them complaining as their hat brims were carefully adjusted and pressed flat.
"Oh, Mom..." x2
"I saw Winster, he's standing with Malfoy," Ron said to Hermione.
Hermione looked in the direction of his hand and saw Winston talking to Malfoy, the older one, with a smile on his face.
Little Malfoy raised his usual arrogant expression and scanned the crowd again and again, obviously he hadn't noticed them yet.
Their movements were intimate, but they wore identical masks on their faces.
Smiling mask.
"He has his social life in Slytherin," said Hermione. "It's no big deal, Ron."
Ron pouted.
But Hermione waited until Lucius left before calling him.
"Winster!"
She lets Summer out of Hedwig's cage.
*
Winster caught his owl head on.
"Hey, hey, hey--Summer, be gentle!"
Still not satisfied, Summer pecked him all over the head.
Draco kindly opened the cage.
Winster comforted him with a headache: "I have prepared a live rat for you, don't be angry."
Summer flapped her wings and fell asleep as soon as she got into the birdcage.
One eye was half open, staring at Winster, as if he was still not satisfied.
He waved in Hermione's direction, motioning for him and Draco to go together.
They split up into two groups in the crowd.
*
"Why did he follow you in?" Luo glanced at Draco who squeezed in with a matter-of-fact look on his face, took Winster's suitcase and pushed it to the luggage rack with him, and asked Winster.
"Why can't I come in with him?" Master Malfoy, who was following behind, said dissatisfiedly.
"Of course it's because the carriage is too small to accommodate the young master's luggage." Luo Ou retorted.
"Master Malfoy, please turn right ahead..." Loial said, "I remember that's the private room you usually use. Why do you have to squeeze in with a bunch of half-bloods like us?"
"Shut up, Cliff. You have no right to point fingers at me. Where were you when Winston was injured?" Draco was not in a good mood. He sneered and mocked back: "You are waiting outside the hospital wing like me. At least I donated some money - do you have the money?"
Crabbe and Goyle were following Draco's instructions and were trying to stuff their luggage into the luggage rack next to them. After they finished, Draco waved his hand and sent them away.
Just two tools.
But there was no complaint on either of their faces.
Draco was determined to stay here.
He pushed his way roughly over the birdcage that Jenny had placed on the chair and sat down.
Winster pushed aside Draco's deliberate and vicious attempt to move aside, and grabbed Luo's leg from his original position: "Thank you, this is the first time I know that you two can quarrel like talking tree-guarding bowtruckles - did I secretly break your protective tree?
I swear I haven't rubbed a branch of the guardian tree yet - but I'm not sure if Professor Snape has tried it. I suggest you go to him if you have a quarrel. I guarantee that he is very 'happy' recently because school has started and he will see Potter again. "
Winster said helplessly.
"Please, stop attacking my ears."
He sat down next to Draco on the chair where Jenny's owl sat on the table along with Summer's birdcage.
"Where's Jenny? I just saw she's still here."
Draco and Loial then stopped glaring at each other.
Luo Ou sat down opposite Winster.
"Jenny saw Master Malfoy coming with you, and was afraid that he might not be used to it, so she went to find Michael Carr and the others first - they were in the next carriage."
"——I'll take that as a compliment." Draco snorted, "After all, I didn't participate in the activities of bullying Koch——I don't bully women."
"Yeah," Luo Ou sneered, "You don't bully women, you just call Parkinson's ugly lion head."
Draco raised his eyebrows: "Why, you're actually standing up for Pansy? In my opinion, although Koch looks a little weak, he's still better looking than that lion dog." He sneered lazily.
Luo Ou became even more angry. "It's because of what you said! You don't bully women - but you clearly know what the consequences of your words will be!"
Winster understood. He remembered Jenny who wanted to wrap him up when they first met...
"What consequences?" Draco frowned, puzzled: "Did I say that before?"
He thought about it, but had no impression at all.
Luo Ou sneered.
He opened his mouth, feeling inexplicably guilty.
"…What Parkinson did has nothing to do with me," Draco retorted stubbornly, "She acted on her own initiative. Do you think I should bear the consequences?"
"Come on," Winster interrupted Master Malfoy's further unconscious provocation: "Shut your mouth, Master Malfoy."
"...Why do you call me Master too?" Draco complained with a snort, but finally shut up obediently.
