HP: For a better world

Chapter 82: The Test from the Malfoy Family

Snape was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper.

After Winster finished packing, he walked down the stairs.

The wizard robes I hadn't worn for a month while living in a Muggle community now looked a little short.

The cuffs, which originally fit just right, were now slightly shorter, slightly higher than Winster's wrist. The action of reaching out to others through the loose cuffs seemed faster, more decisive and neat.

So Winster took off his wizard robe and put it on, and the back of the windbreaker-like robe fluttered with his movements.

Winster pressed the handrail of the last step of the stairs and raised his head slightly, "Teacher, is it time?"

Snape glanced over and said, "Finished?"

he asks.

After getting a nod in response from Winster, he closed the spread-out newspaper with his hands and put it aside, then stood up by leaning on the armrest of the sofa.

"Then let's get going." He said briefly.

Soon, after a period of squeezing and dizziness, they arrived at Diagon Alley.

Perhaps because it was still morning, most of the shops in Diagon Alley were closed.

There were few people in the alley.

Only the Tuofan Clothing Store, which had been booked in advance, had a few people left.

Winster stared at the sign of Tuofan Clothing Store in front of him for a while, then looked at Mrs. Malkin who was yawning continuously next door, and almost immediately frowned and spoke in a low voice.

"—I think I might need to go to Gringotts first."

Just last night, Winster and Snape discussed the costumes for the party to be held by the Apothecary Association the day after tomorrow, and agreed that Winster needed a ready-made robe.

"No need." Snape glanced at him and said, "The money will come from me."

Before Winster could object, he pushed the door open.

Ding--

A clear bell rang quietly, pleasantly and peacefully, and Winster almost immediately noticed that something inexplicable was being moved in the air.

It's just a welcoming bell.

A witch with a delicate smile immediately came forward from behind the counter. "Mr. Snape? Please come this way."

Snape nodded and motioned Winston to follow.

Winster followed in with doubt.

They followed the witch. The witch led them into the shop, to a huge mirror, and pulled out two huge hangers. On one side was a row of high-end dress robes of different styles, and on the other side was a row of shelves, with corresponding sets of wizard hats floating at an angle. Some even had a circle of lace.

Then the witch said apologetically, "Here is the final finished robe we have, sir."

She introduced.

"Because most of them are made to order in advance, only a very small number of customers give up their original gowns and choose other ones. If you have any special requests, please let me know - the matching hat is next to it."

Snape glanced at the row of dresses and ordered without hesitation: "Remove the orders from the UK." He thought for a moment, then named a few countries that had produced famous pharmacists.

The witch waved her hand in compliance. The dress that did not meet Snape's requirements immediately retreated and disappeared into the mirror.

Soon there were only a few items left on the row of shelves in front of Winster.

Snape stared at the clothes. "Is that all?"

The witch responded respectfully.

Most of the remaining clothes are of an old style.

He frowned and told Winston calmly, "Take your time to choose. I'll wait for you outside."

Almost at the moment Snape finished speaking, Winster saw three dazzling golden heads in the mirror. The family opened the door and walked in with the same arrogant expression on their faces.

Winster felt the magic in the air fluctuate again.

"What a gift from Merlin, Severus." The head of the Malfoy family pretended to look around the store before noticing Snape and Winston. He held his wife's arm with one hand and raised his cane with the other, saying hello in an aria, "I didn't expect to see you today. Why, you don't plan to watch the Quidditch match today?"

Without turning around, Winston knew that Snape must have a perfunctory smile on his face:

"I'm afraid I'm not interested in such an intense and violent sport." Snape's deep voice sounded, "Lucius, thank you for your concern, but I'm more interested in the pharmacist gathering that will be held tomorrow."

He nodded politely to Mrs. Malfoy as a greeting, but Draco just gave him a look.

Lucius understood and exchanged a look with Draco, who was keeping a reserved smile and was a little scared when facing the gaze of his own dean alone despite being informed of what was going to happen.

He smiled broadly and said, "Then I suppose you are here to choose your dress, Severus."

Winster turned around and looked through the clothes racks, and happened to meet the eyes of Mrs. Malfoy who was looking at him from afar.

"I think I must make you feel sorry, Malfoy," Snape said in his usual drawling voice, "I am here with my students this time - he must need a proper outfit for an occasion like a party. Besides, he is in the fourth grade now, and he is eligible to attend some dances, so a dress is necessary. It's a pity that I'm afraid we don't have time to customize it, so we can only make do with the ready-made dresses here, but I think the taste of Tufan Clothing Store is still trustworthy..."

"…I hope the child isn't picky," Snape sighed diplomatically.

Winster politely stepped aside and nodded slightly to the lady with an arrogant expression.

Narcissa involuntarily tightened her grip on her husband's hand, and her eyes almost followed Winster who turned around again.

Lucius immediately showed a little surprise and naturally pulled Narcissa to interrupt his wife's distraction and remind her that she would have a chance to observe closely later. "What a coincidence, Narcissa and I are here today for Xiaolong's dress as well."

He lowered his head, patted his son who had been smiling reservedly, and called out:

"Draco."

He naturally ordered, "Go and follow the clerk to check out the dress you ordered. If there is anything you need, please let us know and make changes in time - Narcissa."

Then he paused and looked at his wife sideways, "Maybe you would like to order a few more new styles of dresses to match the accessories you just bought...Sissi."

"Mom," Draco called, taking Narcissa's hand, "Let's go. I want to go to the ice cream shop later."

Narcissa gave an elegant smile and passed by Snape who had moved aside.

……

Winster guessed that Snape must have come here for a purpose. Either he deliberately ran into the Malfoy family, or these dresses were necessary.

"White!" Draco shouted excitedly when he came in. After being gently patted by his mother, he coughed restrainedly and put on a serious face, "Ahem... Winster, I'm glad to see you here."

Winster turned his head, showing a little surprise, and then smiled and exchanged names with Draco, "Draco, I didn't expect to see you here."

Watching Draco trying to show his goodwill in an awkward way.

"Your chocolates are delicious." Winster said with a smile, although he didn't touch the box of chocolates.

"As long as you like it." Draco breathed a sigh of relief. Then he remembered something and introduced Winston, "This is my mother, Narcissa Malfoy."

Winster also followed suit and touched his chest politely, "Ma'am."

Mrs. Malfoy raised her hand slightly, but then she realized something when she saw Winston's hand touching her chest. She quickly raised her outstretched hand and touched Draco's platinum head affectionately, causing him to complain.

Winston didn't notice Narcissa's pause at all.

Narcissa raised her chin subconsciously when she saw Winston's action, and suppressed the displeasure that flashed across her eyes, and smiled perfectly.

"Winster - I hope you don't mind me calling you that. I think you and the little dragon are friends." She glanced at Draco, whose nostrils were raised higher in her view, and a genuine smile appeared on her lips for a moment.

Winster kept up a fake smile, indicating that he didn't mind.

Narcissa's smile was very beautiful, always showing her beauty and elegance to the greatest extent, but somehow it always gave Winston a sense of deliberate approach, which created a strange dislocation between her and Draco, who spoke with arrogance.

"If you need some advice, you can ask me." She smiled with her hands covering her lips. "I chose the dresses for Lucius and Draco."

"But you can't deny my aesthetic taste because of this," Draco retorted, shaking his finger smugly, "the dresses you are fussing about are all out of date. I would have seen many of these styles at balls a few years ago."

He led Winster in a swagger and ordered the witch clerk to take out the orders that no one had come to pick up.

Narcissa explained, "Some wizards who are just trying to show off their wealth like to come here to order custom clothes, and then give up because they can't afford the balance.

The insistence of the Tufan Clothing Shop will allow them to complete this work. If you go to the party with Severus and people recognize that the robes are ordered by someone else, it will be disgraceful... These robes are very suitable for wizards who have problems with the original dresses but do not have time to order them. Even if those wizards are still able to appear at these parties, they don't have the courage to tell others about it. "

She ran her hands over the fabrics and smiled at Winster, then naturally took out a few robes and tried to put them on Winster, as if to compare sizes.

Winster took a step back subconsciously with disgust, reached out to take the dress and said politely, "Thank you, ma'am, I'll do it myself."

Narcissa was stunned for a moment, then smiled and handed the clothes to Winston. "The mirror is the fitting room." She instructed, "If there is anything that doesn't fit, you can tell me. Xiaolong's size also needs to be altered."

Draco looked at his mother taking such good care of Winston, curled his lips and interrupted, "If you don't like that one, I recommend you choose this black one." He raised his chin and pointed to a black dress with gold edges that he had just observed.

Draco really had good taste.

After some modifications to fit the waistline, Winster stepped out of the mirror. Even Narcissa, who was used to seeing handsome and passionate wizards, couldn't help but sigh.

Winster knows how to use his appearance to his advantage. He lowers his eyes before stepping out from behind the mirror, and only smiles brightly the moment he steps out of the mirror. His clothes are very exquisite, but anyone who sees him for the first time will definitely pay attention to his eyes that are as bright as a lake, and his clear temperament is mixed with a little bit of the cunning of a teenager. But he is not annoying.

As he grew taller, the boy's round cheeks gradually revealed a sharp curve. Winster, who had deliberately practiced how to smile more beautifully, blinked, tucked his jaw in humbly, and nodded gracefully to the outsider.

Only then did people follow their line of sight and notice the white collar on his chest, the slim waistline and the ink-black swallowtail robe.

He said proudly, "How is it?"

"I have a really good eye for clothes," Draco said complacently.

The witch clerk next to him: Poof——

Narcissa also laughed, but this time her smile was lighter, and her eyes hesitated as she looked at Winston's smile and then looked away.

The smile faded.
