HP: For a better world

Chapter 68 Life and Death in a Moment

The werewolf pounced, its sharp claws sweeping through the air.

Winster only had time to add a layer of shield to himself.

The werewolf's reaction was faster than Winster's. Almost the next moment after Winster cast the spell, it jumped ahead and avoided the spell.

Winster didn't dare to turn around and run away. In nature, it is a well-known agreement not to show your back to hunters. The back will only arouse their more excited hunting desire.

The cold breath of the Dementors was still ringing in his ears. Some Dementors were hovering over Black and Harry, and one after another they flew down to take their breath.

Others who were more curious floated over and surrounded Winster together with the werewolves.

"Get out of here!" He waved his hand back again, and another Dementor reached out and grabbed his arm - they seemed to want to catch Winster, the emotionless being that was traveling with Black.

The Dementor's cold, slippery hands kept sticking.

Winster's brain nerves began to throb uncontrollably, and he showed a painful expression.

………Damn, at this time…don’t…

"!" The intense pain awakened his mind.

The werewolf pounced on him and clawed him when he wasn't paying attention.

Blood flowed from the wound, and the stimulated werewolf began breathing more heavily.

"There are so many obstacles!" After briefly forcing the werewolf back, Winster saw from the corner of his eye that Harry was being lifted up powerlessly by two Dementors holding his wrists.

Harry was still somewhat conscious, and whispered, "No..."

He gasped in pain, his arms flailing feebly in an attempt to knock the Dementor away from pulling him away from Black's grasp.

The barrier spell failed to hold the werewolf in check for long.

It hid behind layers of black robes and suddenly bit Winster.

"Faint! Faint! Faint!" Winster gritted his teeth and endured the pain from the wound on his shoulder blade, roaring and sending a series of spells to the werewolf.

The spell hit the rocky beach, splashing out a series of fragments.

The Dementors also briefly moved away from the direction where the werewolf was pouncing.

Winster clearly saw how the werewolf rolled and jumped to avoid his three spells in succession, but he had no time to worry -

"There are many obstacles!"

Winster pointed backwards.

A Dementor had already impatiently approached Harry... took off his hood, revealing a disembodied face...

"Harry!" Winston could no longer control his emotions. Fear and despair surged into his heart...

Harry can't be allowed to die here!

Winster recited the spell anxiously, thinking of the time he spent with Snape...

"Expecto Guardian - Expecto Guardian - Guardian -"

White light shot out from Winster's wand.

A stag leaped lightly from the other side of the lake, and its white tenderness drove away the ghosts.

The Dementor screamed, dropped Harry and fled.

Winster had no time to notice the vibrations caused by the Dementor's silent scream, and the Dementor's robe became even more torn after being hit by the stag and having no time to escape after taking off his hood.

The white mist dispersed on the lakeside. Winster was able to see the other side clearly... It was Hermione and Harry!

The professor is here too, right?

Winster firmly believed that as soon as Snape was free from the werewolf, he would notify Dumbledore as quickly as possible to rescue him.

Harry and Hermione, who used the time-turner, must be the ones who can find me the fastest - although I don't know why I am not among those who used the time-turner.

Winster was briefly confused for a moment, then put the question behind him. Maybe he took another path?

Full of excitement, he took a few steps toward the other side of the lake.

She didn't see the tears in Hermione's eyes as she lowered her head. She held Harry tightly to prevent him from rushing over.

Harry groaned in pain after falling on the lakeside, but he quickly reached out his hand behind him and shouted with his last bit of strength: "Winster! Watch your back——"

The stench of a werewolf suddenly came from behind, and Winster immediately responded: "Armor protects!"

But the werewolf had already crossed the defense line of the Armor Spell and bit Winston's neck, only to be bounced out by the Armor Spell.

—Werewolves cannot be repelled by the Patronus Charm.

"Ah!!!" Winster's eyes went dark in pain, and blood gushed out from his shoulder blade. Fortunately, the werewolf's bite on the artery was deflected in time by the timely armor spell, but Winster's mind was blank now.

——He was bitten by a werewolf.

Why don't you come and rescue him?

Winster covered his wound, which was bleeding madly, with a pale face.

Harry on the ground was completely unconscious, and there were two guys in the distance who could not be hurt.

The werewolf in front of him was already howling excitedly at the moon.

The dark green eyes looked at Winston without blinking, and he licked his fur and peeked at Harry behind Winston.

The moon came out again, illuminating the lakeside coldly.

Winster's hot heart suddenly turned cold, and his thoughts became sadder than ever before.

The influence of the Dementors lingered on his mind.

...Hermione didn't come...probably because his fate was already determined.

The transformation of a werewolf depends on luck. Some will transform on the moonlit night of the day they are bitten...but some may have to endure for a whole month before transforming under the full moon.

Winster didn't dare to gamble on his luck.

If he transformed here, two werewolves would appear here at the same time - no matter how well prepared Hermione and Harry were, they would not be able to resist a werewolf who could be as experienced as Snape when transformed.

They are fierce and brutal, possessing the cunning of a wolf hunting, and the fanatical hatred with which they tear their prey apart.

But reason spread in their minds, recording every moment he hurt his relatives and friends.

Winston didn't want to be like this and didn't want to be turned into a werewolf or watch Harry and Hermione being torn apart.

That was too terrible, too hopeless—

Harry couldn't die.

Winster thought rationally that if Harry died here, Voldemort would have no one to deal with him, and Snape would always be a spy and die under Voldemort's suspicion at any time.

Peter escapes again, while they are dealing with the werewolf and the Dementors. Black loses consciousness, slips out of the dragon-skin glove and escapes.

Winster saw it, but was unable to stop it - the werewolf was always eyeing him as the protector of the rations behind him.

Now this protector is a sweeter prey, it moves, screams, bleeds, and wails—

"Look at me, werewolf." Winster roared in a hoarse voice, "I am already your prey! Aren't you thirsty for blood and killing? Come on - chase me! Despicable! Cursed beast!"

He loosened his hand, forced a vicious and grim smile, and even provocatively threw the blood on his hand at the werewolf, hitting its mouth. He could clearly see its green, irrational pupils shrinking like animal eyes, licking the blood dripping on its mouth, revealing a cruel and bloodthirsty arc.

——Chase me.

Winster calmly lip-synced to it, then grabbed his wand and turned to flee -

He rushed deep into the forbidden forest, and went wherever it was difficult to walk or run.

He wanted to lead the werewolf away, far enough away - to prevent it from spying on Harry who was left behind, and it would be best if it got lost in the Forbidden Forest so that it couldn't find its way back.

Winster covered the wound on his shoulder bitten by the werewolf, ignoring the gushing blood, and tried his best to escape into the forbidden forest, while using various spells to silence and hide.

As he ran at a high speed, the branches that grew across his body whipped him mercilessly, leaving red marks all over his body, but he couldn't care less.

These spells can greatly mask the scent of Winster, but the blood will guide the werewolf.

He broke into the dark forbidden forest, crossing countless obstacles and thorns.

Snape's classwork showed its usefulness at this time.

The werewolf followed closely behind, gradually becoming irritated by the prey that appeared and disappeared at its mouth.

The desire to tear living things apart burned fiercely, forcing it to chase after blood.

It could smell the weakness of the prey in front of it, greedily licking the blood spilled on the ground, aiming in one direction and continuing to track.

Until it broke into the territory of another wolf king.

---

Winster was still running, and he gradually lost consciousness from the bleeding wound on his shoulder blade. His body gradually became cold and he felt weak all over.

The werewolf was gradually left behind by him.

But Winster seemed to hear a wolf howl.

I heard the wailing and roaring of the fighting behind me.

He got rid of the werewolf.

The scene in front of me began to become blurry, and strangely it became brighter little by little.

White dots of light like fireflies flew around him, sometimes moving away and sometimes coming closer out of curiosity.

But Winster was powerless to think. He covered the wound that was gradually stopping bleeding, his head was dark and his ears were buzzing.

Then Winster's eyes lit up, and the dark forbidden forest suddenly became bright.

He tripped over a tree root and fell heavily onto a large tree somewhere deep in the forbidden forest.

…He could hardly feel the temperature of his own body. He barely managed to turn over from the ground, looking up at the sky with his pale face, breathing rapidly.

My head felt heavy, as if I was going to faint in the next second.

But Winster didn't dare faint.

He did not escape from danger, but entered another dangerous territory.

Not far away, a tall white wolf king was lying lazily on a boulder. The moonlight caressed its beautiful fur, shone on its body, and also illuminated its vision as it was startled and looked towards Winster.

Is he going to die here?
