HP: For a better world

Chapter 29 Fudge and the Dementors

"Are you crazy or stupid, White!" Snape angrily picked out several bottles of potions that had been prepared long ago from the potion cabinet beside him and stuffed them into Winster's arms. "Don't you know how dangerous it is for underage wizards to encounter these magical animals? If your Patronus Charm has not been successful, you will fall there. I never thought that one day I would hear: 'Because of Slytherin's heroic actions! Add 50 points!' Appearing in front of me--" Snape said sarcastically, while casting a spell to examine Winster's head.

Winster had told him about the strange memories and headaches that always appeared when he encountered the Dementors.

"I've prepared in advance!" Winster protested, holding his head. Then he realized that he seemed to have exposed something, and added, "I went there first to confirm that the thing that appeared there was a Dementor, and I stayed because I had the ability to delay it."

"What ability - your half-baked Patronus Charm? I don't think Lupin has taught you anything. It's been almost half a year and you're still a half-finished product." Snape sneered, put away the inspection spell, and took out a few bottles of brightly colored potions from the potion storage cabinet next to him, watching Winston drink them all in order.

Winster pinched his nose with a sad face and drank them all. All the potions prepared by Snape were designed to achieve the most authentic effects - either extremely bitter or with a strange taste that was hard to describe.

Winster swallowed the last mouthful of the foul-smelling potion and felt himself return to the Dementors, all cold, before saying, "And a little rough Occlumency. I can empty myself when I practice normally."

The effect of the cold potion spread from the body to the brain, making Winster hiss softly, and his swollen temples finally calmed down: "But why do I fall into memories that even I have forgotten when I meet the Dementors? I never expected this to happen." Winster said almost aggrievedly.

But Snape had no intention of comforting him. Instead, he rolled his eyes impatiently and said, "So you are becoming more and more reckless. Are you a Slytherin or not? I think you should just go and make love with the impulsive Potter. Anyway, you and Granger have a good relationship like a couple."

Winster was stunned for a moment, "Lovers?!" Winster almost jumped up in fright, "No, no, she and I are not suitable." Winster said from the bottom of his heart, "I only do this little bit, teacher, and you think I'm almost a saint. If you knew what she thinks, wouldn't you think she is the reincarnation of the saint?" Winster complained that Hermione was able to sympathize with the house-elf, who was a completely different species, and let Kreacher insult her.

"Speaking of Harry, teacher, who won Quidditch?"

Snape snorted, a faint smile on his face, "Draco did a good job today." He actually praised.

"What? Gryffindor didn't ask for a rematch?" Winston asked in surprise.

"Of course they wanted to, but Potter's broom was torn to pieces by the Whomping Willow before he bought a new one." Snape smiled meaningfully, then glanced at the empty bottle in Winster's hand and said ruthlessly: "Okay, you should go. Curfew is almost here, don't let me catch you in the corridor." He threatened viciously.

Winster rolled his eyes and walked outside.

Suddenly Winster looked back again, "By the way, teacher, can you teach me how to deal with Dementors? I don't want to be restricted by this kind of thing."

"Hmph, you're thinking of your teacher now?" Snape said, "Why don't you go back and ask your Professor Lupin? He is now your Defense Against the Dark Arts professor." Winster immediately understood what he meant and flattered Snape a few times, and also belittled Lupin's habit of being sick a few times, until Snape showed a slightly satisfied smile on his face before saying, "But teacher, your magical ability is most suitable for being a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts." Winster said without any psychological burden. Anyway, when he reaches the sixth grade, he will stop Snape from taking that cursed position.

Snape glanced at him lightly and said with a lazy smile: "You talk so nicely, and you want me to teach you the Patronus Charm?"

Winster's eyes lit up and he nodded vigorously. He was looking forward to seeing Snape release the most famous stag patronus in Harry Potter for him.

Although Winster knew clearly that this was impossible.

"It seems that the Dementors have hurt your brain a bit, White." Snape said with a half-smile, "You can imagine something better." Winster's face darkened. What's wrong with imagining something better? I just want to take a look -

"Come and deliver the medicine for me tomorrow," Snape said. "After delivering the medicine, you can find anyone except me."

Winster pursed his lips and walked away smelling of potion.

……

After the stone door slowly closed, Snape stood up from his seat, walked to the small room hidden behind the curtain in the office, and came to the Ministry of Magic through the fireplace.

Dumbledore was questioning Fudge in his office and demanded that the Dementors not be allowed to set foot in the school again, otherwise he would kill all the Dementors.

"You can't do this! Dumbledore," Fudge shouted, jumping up.

"You know I can do that, Fudge," Dumbledore said coldly.

Next to him stood the leader of the Dementors.

The wilted black robes on the ground indicated that a Dementor had died here.

The Dementor leader opened his ugly mouth wordlessly and gestured something to Fudge.

Fudge's expression suddenly changed, and he looked at Dumbledore: "They said they entered the school because they found clues about Black."

This seemed to give Fudge some courage: "They are enforcing the law!"

"I only saw it put a student into a coma. If it weren't for the two students who tried their best to delay it, the Dementor would have kissed him—" Dumbledore said unyieldingly, with disgust for the Dementors flashing in his eyes. "Hogwarts should always be the safest place."

Fudge's face flushed. "Is this my fault?" he shouted, his round belly heaving with his violent movements. "They are just following my orders to catch the fugitive!"

"Have some sense, Dumbledore! Isn't Black more dangerous in school!"

As soon as Snape pushed the door open, he heard Dumbledore's loud voice: "As long as I am still the headmaster, I will not let any students die." He said coldly, "Only weak and incompetent people would reason with Dementors."

Fudge's face turned purple, but he still didn't dare to refute.

Dumbledore saw Snape coming in and immediately ended the quarrel: "In any case, Fudge, don't let me see them in the school again, or I'm afraid you'll have to change a group of more obedient guards next time."

"you!"

Fudge's voice, swallowing his anger, was trapped behind the door.

Dumbledore walked solemnly down the aisle, followed by Snape. The wizards along the way were all surprised to see Dumbledore and wanted to greet him, but they were all glared back by Snape's cold aura.

"You didn't call me here just to fend off those admirers of yours who couldn't understand your intentions, did you, Dumbledore?" Snape followed for a while and came out of the Ministry of Magic, saying to countless wizards who wanted to get close to him along the way.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "How could that be, Severus? I just need you to do something for me."

"what's up?"

"I would like to ask you to go to Maria Orphanage with me again."

Snape couldn't help but ask, "Why, are you doubting White again? I really don't understand you. What is there to doubt about such a reckless fool like him? I just treated this guy who almost lost his life before I left."

"I think he will die from his own kindness sooner or later."

He looked like he had a lot to complain about.

"Oh, Severus, forgive me, this is just the meddling of an old man," said Dumbledore. "If you had lived longer than I have, you would have discovered that there are no coincidences in the world. People are just repeating the same old things in the old things called fate."

Snape tilted his head.

Dumbledore said: "Perhaps you still have some impression of what happened half a century ago."

"I just think you are getting old and confused, Dumbledore. How could I know what happened half a century ago?" Snape replied.

Dumbledore smiled and said nothing.

"How's Harry?" he asked again.

"You answered the call just in time. Potter didn't even get a scratch and was just worried about his broom." Snape rolled his eyes.

"It's good to be young. You are always so energetic." Dumbledore laughed. "Do you remember my judgment on White last year? There are not many Obscurus who survive beyond their age."

Only then did Snape stop rolling his eyes.

"More?!" Snape couldn't help but say, "It's hard to find an Obscurial nowadays, how can there be someone who can live past the age of 11--"

The Obscurials were born in pain and despair, and their magic power would show a strong dark tendency - uncontrolled and extremely destructive. It was like a ball of black flame, constantly burning the host's soul until they completely collapsed... Therefore, it was rumored that the Obscurials usually did not live past the age of 10.

But there are exceptions. The more powerful a person is, the more likely they are to live past the age of 10. For example, there was a bloodline of the Dumbledore family that was once lost.

"Credence Barebone," Dumbledore said slowly. "That was his name. Grindelwald tried to use him against me."

Snape's face twitched, "You mean the first generation of Dark Lord 45 years ago can still have an impact on the outside world."

Dumbledore stopped a Knight Bus and walked up with Snape: "Some great things will never fade with time, Severus."

Snape: "I don't think what I know is what you say."

Dumbledore smiled broadly, "Maria Orphanage," he said to Stan Shunpike, the conductor of the Knight Bus. "If I remember correctly, the current fare should still be an extra two quid for a cup of hot chocolate?"

Dumbledore winked playfully at Stan.

"Oh, yes," said Stan Shunpike, flattered. "You have a very good memory. The price has remained the same for more than fifty years."

Snape threw over two Galleons.

Stan took it, counted out two Sickles as change, and tipped his hat, "Please come this way, your Excellency Headmaster Dumbledore."

He said as he led Dumbledore and Snape to the best workshop.

As soon as Winster returned, he went to the medical wing to see Harry.

He hadn't slept yet, and next to him lay the Hufflepuff student who had been rescued.

Winster glanced.

"How are you, Harry? Are you okay? I heard you fell from the sky."

Harry sat up from the bed in surprise: "Why are you here, Winston?" He lifted the quilt and stepped aside to look at Madam Pomfrey.

Madam Pomfrey left the infirmary temporarily.

"I've heard about your heroic deeds - Winston, you defeated a Dementor!" Harry said in surprise in a low voice.

Winster looked at Harry's elbow with a smile.

"Don't say that, Harry. And then there's Cedric from Hufflepuff. He's done a lot, too."

"But it was you who cast the Patronus Charm, Winchester. The news has spread all over Hufflepuff! If it weren't for you, no one would know that Dementors appeared in the audience." Harry said anxiously.

"And there's Dumbledore. He won't let a student die violently." Winston comforted him. "Now I'm filled with fear."

Winster shook his head and looked at the still unconscious badger. "The teacher is right. I was too reckless."

Harry's eyes moved to the bed next to him, and his voice became quieter. "Madam Pomfrey said he'll be fine."

Hogwarts is very small, and although neither Harry nor Winchester know the unconscious Hufflepuff, they often meet him.

"That's good," said Winster.

The two fell into silence together.

Dumbledore can't protect everyone all the time.

Winston and Harry are probably the ones who understand this the most.

The dangers of the wizarding world are everywhere.

"Winster," Harry called suddenly.

Winster looked at him.

"Can you teach me the Patronus Charm?" Harry asked unexpectedly.
