Mr. Li, your daughter calls someone else dad again

Chapter 31: Mr. Li's coaxing hits a wall

Secretary Li was in a tense state since early morning. When he saw Li Yucheng coming out of Cheng’s Building, he immediately opened the car door.

"Starting from now, within three hours, if Cheng Corporation does not issue a statement, then have the PR department send out the prepared copy."

"Boss Li, don't we need to discuss this with Miss Ni?"

Li Yucheng's eyes swept across his face from left to right, and Secretary Li felt like he was torn apart.

“Who do I need to consult with to announce the facts?”

"Understood." Secretary Li closed the door and got into the car, then asked, "Boss Li, where are we going next?"

"Go apologize."

Apologize? Secretary Li rubbed his ears, thinking he was hallucinating. He didn't expect that President Li would use this word in his lifetime.

When Li Yucheng saw his daughters, they were being taken by the nanny to slide on the slide in the community park. Chen Mi was in the living room upstairs and could directly see what was going on in the park through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Ni Jia had agreed with her that if she didn't leave the community, she shouldn't be disturbed.

So Chen Mi dragged a chair, took a plate of melon seeds, and prepared to watch a pantomime in real time.

When the younger sister saw Li Yucheng approaching, her smile disappeared immediately and she hid in the castle of the slide, calling her sister while closing the small door.

Ni Hao came up the stairs from the other side, and after seeing this, he quickly hid in the castle.

"It's me." Li Yucheng walked over and greeted them.

The two little guys stayed inside in silence. The younger sister even turned her head away from him, while the older sister was still staring at him as before, and seemed even more silent today.

This awkward atmosphere made Li Yucheng speechless for a moment. He had never been able to coax anyone before, so he could only stuff the gifts he brought through the grid of the small door.

"It's a birthday present," he explained.

The thing was quickly thrown out by my sister: "No!" After saying that, she turned back with a puffy face.

Li Yucheng could only communicate with his sister who seemed more rational: "I'll celebrate your birthday today."

Ni Hao shook his head and refused concisely: "I don't want to see you."

"I can apologize."

"I don't want to listen," Haohao turned around and shouted at Li Yucheng, "Go away!"

The small door was not locked and Li Yucheng could open it easily. Haohao immediately shrank to her sister's side and looked at him with vigilance in her eyes.

"Let's negotiate terms. You can get whatever you want." Li Yucheng tried to lower his voice: "Tell me."

"Why didn't you come yesterday!" Haohao's eyes were a little red, and she spoke in a baby voice, a little choked up: "Mommy said you had something very important!"

"There was something that held me up." Li Yucheng answered honestly.

“So being good is not important.”

The area around my eyes became redder and redder, and more and more watery liquid came out from under my eyes, but I forced myself not to let it fall.

"Sister isn't important, is she?"

"No," Li Yucheng denied it quickly, even a little flustered: "I didn't know that yesterday was your birthday."

"Why don't you know?" Haohao pouted: "Didn't Mommy tell you?"

Li Yucheng didn't know how to explain to his daughter that Ni Jia had said it, but he only said half of it. He didn't think the child could understand it.

"It was Li Xinghe who didn't tell me."

A big pot was thrown directly at Secretary Li who was two meters away. The other party gritted his teeth and endured it for the sake of President Li's happiness.

Two pairs of eyes glanced behind him in disbelief, and the sister who had been silent all the time suddenly spoke up: "Nina's father will never forget her birthday."

"Yes, I will prepare a small cake." Haohao pouted: "You didn't even get to eat my cake."

Apart from his grandmother, the only ones who could question him like this were the two little ones in front of him. Li Yucheng felt that he had nothing to explain and that he had indeed failed in his duty as a father.

"I've ordered it. It's in the car. Do you want to come with me and take a look?"

"No, my birthday has already passed and that's not my cake."

Li Yucheng was helpless as he repeatedly hit a snag in his first attempt to coax people. He asked Li Xinghe to bring the cake. The double-layer cake quickly attracted the surrounding children.

Everyone who was greedy was drooling, except the two hiding in the castle who remained indifferent.

"Come out first." Li Yucheng waved his hand.

Haohao leaned close to her sister and complained quietly, "He can't even buy a cake."

"Yeah," Ni Hao nodded in agreement, "I hate mangoes."

Seeing that the cake was about to be eaten up, Li Yucheng had no idea what to do. Even the nanny beside him couldn't stand it and walked over to remind him, "Sir, the child doesn't eat mangoes."

"So what do they like?"

"I like strawberries. I also eat some dragon fruit and blueberries. I occasionally eat some chocolate, but Miss Ni won't let me eat too much."

Li Yucheng gained a little more confidence after learning about their preferences: "Sorry, I didn't know you hated mangoes. I'll apologize to you with chocolate."

"Why don't you know anything?"

"Are you really my father?"

This good question directly touched Li Yucheng's sore spot. Thinking of the news and Cheng Wenbo, his face instantly turned cold.

"Who else would you like it to be?"

He probably didn't know how scary his gloomy face was. He was so scared that he hid behind his sister and shouted with red eyes: "Go away!"

Seeing that the sister was about to lose control of her emotions, the nanny quickly took her away.

"Boss Li," Secretary Li scratched his eyebrows with a headache, "You can't talk to them like this."

"What?" Li Yucheng was also very angry. The current situation caused by the absence of five years was not entirely his fault.

He really knew nothing and was like a headless fly. He even had to find out his daughter's preferences through bumping into others!

"You have to smile." Secretary Li said with a stern face, "Otherwise they will be scared."

"Do I look scary?" Li Yucheng asked with a stern face.

Secretary Li shut up and shook his head, then raised his phone screen with an expression of disapproval on his face. Li Yucheng saw his angry face through the screen, then he sighed inaudibly.

After regaining control of his emotions, he walked over to the slide and sat down. His sister was still sitting there, hugging her knees in a defensive posture.

"You seem more like me, more rational."

Ni Hao stared at him. Maybe he didn't bring the Rubik's Cube, so he could only fiddle with his fingers.

Li Yucheng turned on his phone and pulled up the logistics information for his sister to see: "It will probably take another week for the express to arrive, please wait a little longer."

After he finished speaking, he noticed that the other person looked confused, and suddenly realized that there was no way a child could understand it, so he pulled up another picture and explained: "This is it."

It was the co-branded Lego that was broken by her sister before. Ni Hao's eyes widened a little, a little surprised that the other party knew about it.

"give to me?"

"Yes, I'll give it to you." Li Yucheng said, "It seems you like it very much."

"How do you know that?"

"Did Mommy tell you that?"

Of course, he couldn't say that he heard it from the corner of the room. Li Yucheng tilted his head and coughed lightly, then changed the subject: "Can you do me a favor now?"

"What's the deal?"

Li Yucheng pointed to the side, and even asked for help with a righteous attitude: "Help me to comfort my sister."
