When Wei Wuxian opened his eyes again, he was already standing on a boat.

Before he could react to where he was, he heard a voice from behind: "Wei Wuxian!"

Wei Wuxian turned around abruptly and saw the young man in purple. The young man had his hair tied up and looked proud, with a hint of impatience in his eyes. Wei Wuxian asked, "Jiang Cheng?"

Jiang Cheng said, “Wei Wuxian, if you don’t wake up we will leave. You just stay here alone.”

A young man in the boat held a piece of dogtail grass in his mouth, crossed his legs and said lazily: "Jiang Cheng, if you don't wait for me, you are a dog."

After saying this, the boy paused and changed his words: "No, dogs are too scary. You are a pig."

Wei Wuxian watched Jiang Cheng jump onto the boat from the shore. The force of his body's gravity caused the entire boat to shake violently several times.

Wei Wuxian stood at the bow, staring at Jiang Cheng passing through his body. Wei Wuxian lowered his head and touched himself in surprise. It was a physical body!!!

Jiang Cheng kicked the people in the boat and said, "Wei Wuxian, you want to die!"

(For the sake of distinction, Wei Wuxian in Empathy is called Wei Ying.)

Wei Ying lay on the boat plank and stretched out a hand to him: "Pull me."

Jiang Cheng made a "tsk" sound and rolled his eyes, then took his hand and pulled him up from the boat.

Wei Wuxian watched the two young men go ashore one after another. He turned around in confusion and looked around at the surrounding environment.

Suddenly someone tapped Wei Wuxian on the shoulder, and that person asked, “How is it? Can you tell where this is?”

Wei WuXian looked at the giggling person in front of him and said, “Bean Sprout, why are you taking so long to come in?”

Huan Yao said: "What bean sprouts? I have a name. My name is Qiyuan."

Wei WuXian said: “This is not important. Was that Jiang Cheng just now?”

Huan Yao looked at the two figures walking away on the shore and said, "No."

Wei WuXian asked, “Where is Jiang Cheng?”

The phantom monster was not used to water, and his feet were a little unstable on the boat. He jumped onto the shore and said, "We need to find it ourselves."

Wei WuXian: “…” He also jumped onto the shore. The two young men who had left in the distance were now just black dots.

Huan Yao asked: "Do you want to go over and see?"

Wei Wuxian also imitated the young boy Wei Ying. He plucked a dogtail grass from the shore and held it in his mouth, saying, "No, time is urgent. Since he is not the real Jiang Cheng, there is no need to follow him."

As soon as Wei Wuxian finished speaking, the scene around him changed dramatically, just like the scene that changed when he and Lan Wangji fell into the illusion before.

The surrounding scene gradually turned into darkness. Before Wei Wuxian could react, he heard someone shouting "Axian, Axian" not far away.

Wei Wuxian immediately recognized the person’s voice; it was that of his senior sister.

He walked quickly towards him and saw a man in white clothes holding a lantern. He had a slender figure and looked young.

Wei WuXian shouted in surprise, “Senior Sister!”

Jiang Yanli passed right through his body, and the illusionary demon walked over to Wei Wuxian, tugged at his clothes, and said, “Have you forgotten that he can’t see you, and can’t touch you.”

Wei Wuxian’s eyes gradually drooped, then he raised his head and followed.

Jiang Yanli asked, "Is that Ah Xian? Why did he run up the tree?"

Wei Ying hugged the tree trunk and said, “There is a dog.”

"..."

Wei Wuxian remembered that this was the day when Jiang Fengmian asked him to live with Jiang Cheng after he came to Lotus Pier, but was kicked out by him.

Seeing this scene, Wei WuXian sniffed and said, “My senior sister has always been a very good person.”

Huan Yao agreed with emotion: "Indeed!"

Suddenly, when Wei Ying’s hands could no longer hold on to the tree and he was about to fall, although Wei Wuxian couldn’t catch him, he still subconsciously reached out to catch him.

With Jiang Yanli's help, Wei Ying still fell to the ground, holding his legs and howling, "My leg is broken!"

Jiang Yanli said quickly: "It's not broken, it's not broken... ...Don't move, I'll carry you back."

Wei Wuxian and the others followed the two men forward, and soon they ran into Jiang Cheng, who was lying in a dirt pit and covered in dust. He had even knocked his head against a brick wall, and the dirt on his face was washed away by his tears, leaving two tear marks.

Even so, Wei Wuxian couldn't help but burst into laughter when he saw little Jiang Cheng like this many years later.

Wei WuXian said, “When I was little, I didn’t understand why Jiang Cheng kicked me out that night. But when I grew up, I understood. It was just because Uncle Jiang treated me too well, and Jiang Cheng, a petty guy, got jealous.”

"He doesn't think about the fact that no matter how good Uncle Jiang is to me, I'm not his biological child, and it's impossible for me to take anything away from him. Besides, I've never thought of stealing anything from him."

Huan Yao didn't say anything. He didn't know the right or wrong of the reason, and didn't make any comment.

Back at Lotus Pier, little Wei Ying and little Jiang Cheng talked it out, and the awkwardness between them was gone. Jiang Yanli heated up a bowl of lotus root and pork ribs soup for each of them.

Even though Wei WuXian couldn't smell or touch it, he couldn't help but move closer to smell it, then looked at the two little fellows in front of him with envy as they wolfed down the food in their bowls.

As for children, it’s time for them to go to sleep after playing around and eating their fill.

Wei WuXian looked at the two sleeping people and asked, “Is this Jiang Cheng?”

The phantom demon shook his head.

Wei WuXian said, “If it’s not you, why don’t you say it earlier.”

Huan Yao said: "I see you are having a lot of fun!"

“…” Wei WuXian gave two perfunctory laughs, but it was true that he really enjoyed watching the things he had experienced as a child.

Huan Yao asked: "Still watching?"

Wei WuXian shook his head and said, “I won’t watch it anymore. What’s so interesting about seeing two kids sleeping?”

The phantom demon made hand gestures and muttered something, then he waved his hand and the scene changed again.

"Lan Zhan, you are going to punish me, I don't accept it!"

"beat!"

"..."

What followed was the sound of the ruler crackling as it hit the two men's flesh.

What Wei WuXian saw reminded him of the time he was beaten with a stick. He frowned and couldn’t bear to look at the scene over there.

Even so, he still muttered, "I made a mistake and caused Lan Zhan to be punished. I deserve to be beaten."

Phantom demon: “…”

After several people were beaten, Wei Wuxian wanted to go see how badly Lan Zhan was injured, but the scene forcibly pulled him over here.

In response, Wei Wuxian couldn't help but call out to Lan Zhan. He didn't know if he was seeing things or what, but he saw Lan Zhan pause slightly, then continue walking forward.

Wei Ying lay on Jiang Cheng's back and screamed in pain.

Wei Ying: "Jiang Cheng, please walk slower. You're almost leaving me behind."

Jiang Cheng: "I've already memorized it, but you're still nitpicking!"

Wei Ying: "I didn't ask you to carry me at the beginning."

Jiang Cheng: "I don't want to carry you anymore, get off now!"

"..."

Wei Wuxian looked at the two people bickering. He could see clearly that although Jiang Cheng told him to get off quickly, the hand that was dragging his leg did not loosen at all.
