Chapter 42: St. Freya Academy Haunted Record

"Why hasn't Lu Ren come back yet?" Kiana looked around the classroom, but she didn't see Lu Ren.

"Stupid Kiana, you're just afraid to sleep in class because Lu Ren didn't fall asleep before you." Bronya said.

"Yeah, Mei." Kiana turned her head and looked at Mei who was sitting next to her.

"Alright, alright, Kiana, you can't sleep anymore. If you keep going like this, you're going to fail your next exam."

"Okay." Seeing that Mei was also persuading her to study hard, Kiana obediently took out the book and started reading.

"That's right." Mei nodded.

A few minutes later, Kiana looked at Mei who was concentrating on studying and pulled the corner of her clothes.

"What's wrong, Kiana?" Mei raised her head and asked in confusion.

Kiana rubbed her nose, smiled and said nothing, but Mei already understood what she meant.

"Which question do you not understand? I'll teach you." Mei took Kiana's book and glanced at it.

"You still understand me, Mei."

"This question has already been explained in class. Let me explain it to you again." Mei said helplessly.

"Hehe!" Kiana got close to Mei, so close that she could clearly feel Mei's breath coming out of her nose.

"Kiana, you're too close."

"We are all girls, what's there to worry about?" Kiana said with a smile.

"Tsk." After seeing this, Bronya snorted and moved to the side silently.

Just when Kiana wanted to take another step forward and make further efforts, a page suddenly fell from Kiana's book.

"What is this?" Mei picked up the page and looked at it.

"Let me see it!" Kiana moved closer, "This looks like a map of St. Freya Academy."

"Map? What are the red crosses on this map?" Mei asked, pointing at the bright red cross on the map.

"This must be where the treasure is buried."

Mei glanced at Kiana, as if asking how she knew that.

"Oh, that's what I saw in the movies. It must be right."

Mei sighed. She shouldn't expect Kiana to make any sense.

She put the page back into the book and continued discussing the topic with Kiana.

"Mei, shouldn't we go look for it?" Kiana asked anxiously when she saw Mei put the book page back.

"Kiana, we don't know what's in that place. What if there's danger?"

"Is there any dangerous place in the school? Meiyi, let's go look for it." Kiana coaxed and persuaded.

"Kiana, your grades are too bad. You should study hard now." After some hesitation, Mei finally rejected Kiana's request.

"Okay." Kiana knew that Mei was doing this for her own good, so she didn't make things difficult for her.

But, Kiana is not an honest person.

"Hehehe, I'll go look for it myself tonight. Let's see what Mei says tomorrow when she finds out that I found the treasure." Kiana began to imagine what she could do after finding the treasure. She even laughed when she thought of something happy.

Mei, who was tutoring Kiana, looked at Kiana and smiled silly, and couldn't help but hold her forehead.

"Oh, why is it so difficult for Kiana to study hard?" Mei sighed in her heart.

………………

At night, a bright moon hung high in the sky. Except for a few lights in the dormitory building in the distance, the rest of St. Freya Academy was dark.

The buildings were silent in the night, and the surroundings were extremely quiet; even the wind did not blow.

The sound of a branch breaking could be heard clearly in every corner of the place at night.

The one who stepped on and broke the branch was Kiana who came to hunt for treasure at night. She looked around nervously, afraid that someone might have heard the noise just now.

After a while, there was no other sound except Kiana's movements, so she dared to leave the place quickly.

After groping around in the night for a while, Kiana hid in a dark corner and turned on the flashlight.

The light of the flashlight instantly illuminated the dark corner. Perhaps because she was afraid that the light was too strong and would attract other people, Kiana turned down the light a lot.

"Let me see where the red cross is. I've walked around this area." Kiana looked at the red cross on the map. The red cross was clearly nearby, but she just couldn't find it.

When Kiana quietly took the map at night, she found that there was actually a sentence behind the page, which was that there were precious things buried at the red cross on the map, and the owner of the map also made a red cross mark at the place where the things were buried.

When Kiana found that her guess was correct, she wanted to tell Mei and Bronya, but she changed her mind and thought it would be better to tell them after she found it.

With this thought in mind, Kiana came alone to look for treasure.

"Let's look for it again." Kiana didn't have any good ideas, so she put away the map and decided to check for the missing parts herself.

Kiana walked out of the dark corner, and in the moonlight, she saw a dark shadow running in the moonlight.

"What is that?" Kiana suspected that she was seeing things. She rubbed her eyes, but she still saw the black shadow running.

The black shadow disappeared into the darkness. Kiana was a little scared and decided it would be better not to go there.

It took another hour for Kiana to check all the places except the place where the shadow ran in, but still nothing was found.

"Oh my God, are they trying to tease me on purpose? How could it be such a coincidence?" Kiana had two choices: one was to go back now and look for it tomorrow; the other was to run in and look for it now.

Logically, Kiana should have gone back right now, but she comforted herself, "That was just my illusion. Kiana, you have to think about the treasure waiting for us."

After some comfort, Kiana gathered herself and strode towards where the shadow was.

Kiana walked among these buildings that had not been used for a long time. The empty windows were pitch black. Perhaps there were some creatures inside, maliciously spying on passers-by.

"Ghosts scare themselves. As long as I don't think too much about it, it will be fine."

After walking for a while, Kiana will enter these buildings to look for the red cross.

She walked up the stairs step by step, floor by floor, looking at every room on each floor.

When Kiana reached the top floor, she suddenly saw candles lit in the building opposite.

The dim candlelight not only failed to bring Kiana a sense of security, but instead increased Kiana's uneasiness in this environment.

If it was a ghost, Kiana had no way to exorcise it. When she saw the candlelight on the opposite side, Kiana thought she should leave here quickly and look for it again tomorrow.

Kiana went downstairs quickly, and when she reached the first floor and wanted to rush out, she suddenly froze in place.
