Before the ceremony, one must prepare items such as the document of bestowing a name, wine utensils, rice bowls, a crown and hairpin (comb), a wash basin (towel), an incense burner, a straw mat, a futon, a tray, candles, etc.

1. Welcoming guests: the host stands on the east steps waiting for the guests; the official stands at the west steps with a tray; the guests stand outside the venue waiting; the bride (after bathing), changes into her formal dress and shoes, sits in the east room (dressing room) waiting; the music begins.

2. Seating: There is a strict order. When the guest of honor arrives, the parents come forward to greet him, and they enter the venue after a formal bow. The guest of honor sits in the guest of honor seat; the guests sit in the viewing seat; after all the guests are seated, the host sits in the host seat.

3. Opening of the ceremony: The host (father replaced by mother) stands up and gives a brief speech. You can say: Today, the little queen Shiyu is having her coming-of-age ceremony. Thank you all for coming! Now, the little queen Shiyu's coming-of-age ceremony officially begins!

Then, please invite Wang Shiyu to come in and meet all the guests!

4. The person who has received the hairpin takes her place: the person who has given the praise comes out first, washes her hands, and takes her place on the west steps; the person who has received the hairpin comes out, goes to the center of the venue, faces south, and bows to the guests watching the ceremony.

Then she sits upright (kneeling) facing west on the mat for the bride. The groom combs her hair and puts the comb on the south side of the mat.

5. The guest washes his hands: The guest washes his hands to prepare for the ceremony. The guest gets up first, and the host gets up later to accompany him. The guest washes his hands at the east step and dries them.

After greeting each other, the host and the guest returned to their seats.

6. First hairpin: The person who is getting her hairpin turned to the east and sat upright. An official presented her with a silk scarf and a hairpin. The main guest walked up to the person who was getting her hairpin and chanted a blessing in a loud voice: "On this auspicious day of the month, I am getting my hairpin. I will abandon my childish ambitions and cultivate my virtues. I wish you a long life and great happiness."

Then he kneels down (with his knees on the mat) to comb the hair of the person getting the hairpin and put on the hairpin, then stands up and returns to the original position. The praiser symbolically puts the hairpin on the person getting the hairpin.

The person who has just received the hairpin stands up, and the guest bows to congratulate her.

The person who has received the marriage rite returns to the east room, and the person who gives the praise takes the clothes from the official and goes into the room to change into a plain robe and skirt that matches the one on her head.

7. First bow: The bride comes out of the room wearing her ruqun (skirt) and shows it to the guests.

Then face your mother and perform the formal bow.

8. Second plus: The person wearing the hairpin sits facing east; the main guest washes his hands again and sits back down; the official presents the hairpin, the main guest takes it and walks to the person wearing the hairpin;

The assistant helps the person wearing the hairpin to symbolically adjust the hairpin. The guest bows to the person wearing the hairpin.

The woman who is getting married returns to the east room, and the assistant helps her get clothes and go into the room to change into a long gown with curved hems that matches the hairpin on her head.

9. Second bow: The bride comes out in a long gown to show the guests. Then she faces the main guest and performs a formal bow. This is the second bow.

This time it was to show respect to teachers and seniors, and this time it was Mr. Liu who was invited to receive the worship.

10. Third addition: The person wearing the hairpin sits facing east; the main guest washes his hands again and sits back down; the official presents the hairpin and crown, the main guest takes it and walks to the person wearing the hairpin;

He chanted the blessing aloud: "In the right year, in the order of the month, all are blessed. Brothers are here to complete their virtue. Huangdi has no boundaries, and receives the blessing of heaven."

The assistant helps the person who is wearing the hairpin to remove the hairpin. The main guest kneels down, and the person who is wearing the hairpin puts the hairpin on the headdress, then stands up and returns to his position. The assistant helps the person who is wearing the hairpin to adjust the headdress. The guest bows to the person who is wearing the hairpin.

The person who has received the marriage rite returns to the east room, and the assistant helps her get clothes and go into the room to change into a formal dress with wide sleeves and a long skirt that matches the fu head.

11. Third Bow: The bride wears a formal dress with large sleeves and a hairpin and comes out of the room to show it to the guests. Then she faces the national flag and performs a formal bow. This is the third bow. This time, she expresses her determination to inherit civilization and serve the motherland.

12. Setting up the wine: The officials removed the decorations for the coming-of-age ceremony and set up the wine banquet on the west steps. The host bowed and invited the coming-of-age lady to sit down. The coming-of-age lady then stood on the west side of the banquet, facing south.

13. Jiaozi: The main guest faces west, the praiser offers wine, the hairpin-wearing lady turns north, the main guest takes the wine, walks to the front of the hairpin-wearing lady, faces the hairpin-wearing lady,

The bride recited the blessing, "The sweet wine is rich and the recommendation is fragrant. You bow and accept the offering, which will bring you good fortune. May you receive the blessing from heaven and live a long and healthy life." The bride bowed and took the sweet wine.

The main guest returns the greeting. The hairpin-wearing lady sits down, kneels and sprinkles some wine on the ground as a libation. Then she symbolically touches her lips with the wine, and then places the wine on the table. The official serves the rice, and the hairpin-wearing lady takes it and symbolically eats a little. The hairpin-wearing lady bows, and the main guest returns the greeting. The hairpin-wearing lady stands up and leaves the table, standing on the east side of the west steps, facing south.

14. The person who wears a hairpin has a “zi” (character).

The main guest stands up and comes down facing east. The host stands up and comes down facing west. The guest who is the one who has reached the age of marriage takes a name.

The bride read the words of congratulation, saying: "Now that the rituals are ready, I will announce your name on an auspicious day of the month. Your name is Kong Jia, and you are suitable for a young man. You are suitable for taking a leave, and I will always protect you, and you will be called Yu Shafu." The bride replied: "Although Yu Sha is not smart, I dare not fail to come day and night."

The hairpin-wearing lady bows to the guest, and the main guest returns the greeting. The main guest returns his seat.

15. Listening to Instructions: The girl kneels before her parents and is taught by them. The parents decide the specific contents. The girl listens attentively.

After the parents finish speaking, answer: "Although I am not smart, I will obey you!" Bow to your parents.

16. The one who has reached the age of bows to express gratitude: The one who has reached the age of bows to express gratitude to all the participants present.

The person who has just received the ceremony of marriage stands in the center of the venue and bows to the main guest, guests, musicians, officials, supporters, onlookers, and parents in order. The recipient of the ceremony can just nod slightly to indicate.

17. End of the ceremony: The bride and her parents stand together and all stand up. The mother announces to all the participants: My daughter's wedding ceremony is now complete. Thank you all for participating!
