The two of them watered the cabbage seedlings they planted yesterday in the wasteland before going home together.

When they got home, Lu Chuan processed the game and Xu Han also helped.

We still had the food from the space for dinner.

"I'm planning to make some mooncakes at home recently, but there's no way to bake them at home, so let's build a bread oven later!"

"Okay, but I don't know how to build a bread kiln. Do you know how to build one?" Lu Chuan asked back.

"I've seen others build it before. I'll draw it for you after dinner." Xu Han said and continued eating.

After eating, I went back to the room, took out the paper and pen in the space and started to draw the general appearance of the oven.

First, there needs to be a foundation about one meter high. The middle of the foundation can be empty. Then draw a semicircular stove shape and add two ears on it as decoration.

Hmm! I can see the general shape, and it looks pretty realistic. After a while, the drawing of a little bear bread kiln was completed.

Xu Han came out with the blueprint and began to explain it to Lu Chuan, but the process required the use of yellow mud, which is the kind of sticky soil.

This place is on the hillside behind the house. It is not completely dark yet, so Lu Chuan goes to dig the soil first, while Xu Han starts to cut some thatch and mix it with the soil to make it stronger.

Then move the bricks in the corner and place them where the bread kiln needs to be built.

It is because these things are ready-made that Xu Han chose to set them up at night. Otherwise, it would take up daytime, which would be too troublesome!

The bread kiln is built in front of the passage leading to the backyard. This area is relatively large and does not need to be demolished later and can continue to be used.

After Xu Han moved all the things, Lu Chuan also came back, poured the soil on the ground, added river sand and thatch straw, some salt, and then started to step on the mud.

This step is more laborious and requires stepping on it for a long time. It will become sticky only after it is fully blended.

Lu Chuan took off his shoes and stepped on it barefoot. Xu Han felt it pricked her feet and refused to take off her shoes, but her shoes were covered in mud and it was troublesome to clean them.

So Xu Han gave up directly, and after mixing the proportions of soil and river sand, she began to instruct Lu Chuan to step on it himself.

He started to build the foundation with the mixed mud. Xu Han has always been good at hands-on work, so there was no problem for him to do this.

The size of the bread oven cannot be too large, otherwise the temperature inside will not be reached and the food will not be baked well. Xu Han plans to make two at a time for easy use later.

First, use branches to draw the approximate shape and length on the ground, then start to build the foundation with bricks. Add some mud between the bricks to make them stick together more firmly.

After building an inverted E, start building the table top. This step requires a longer stone slab that can support the weight above.

Then start to build the insulation layer in the middle, build a square, then add soil and sand into it, add another layer of bricks, and then fill all the gaps with sand. This step is relatively simple. It will be done in a moment.

After building the bottom, we start to build the kiln door. The kiln door is an arched door, and this step is more difficult.

Take out a wooden barrel as a model and build an arch on it according to the shape of the barrel.

Xu Han operated slowly and tried repeatedly, while Lu Chuan was rolling clay strips, which he would use to surround the stove.

Roll the clay into strips as thick as your wrist, making sure each one is about the same length.

After the arch is built, use sand to prop up the hole in the stove, and then start to use mud strips to surround the shape. When surrounding, be sure to stagger the strips and interlock them so that they can be more secure.

After all the layers are built, you can decorate the stove. Make one into the shape of a bear head and the other into the shape of a rabbit head. Support the ears with bamboo and cover them with yellow mud.

After finishing all the steps, smooth the surface of the bread oven with paste. A cute and beautiful bread oven is now ready.

All that’s left is to wait for the mud to dry and then dig out the sand inside that’s used to support the shape.

It was already past eleven o'clock when everything was done. The two of them simply packed up and went to bed.

The next morning, Xu Han got up and went to look at the bread kiln that she had built yesterday. Fortunately, there were no cracks.

I simply cleaned up yesterday's battlefield, and then went out with the backpack on my back!

Today Xu Han plans to pick some ice-powdered fruit and wild fruits near her home.

Xu Han had already figured out the areas near her home. She knew all the places where there were wild fruits, and had scouted them in advance. She could just go and pick them!

Xu Han first came to Bingfen Guo, which was relatively close to her home. It was getting late, so it would be convenient for her to go home and have a rest.

The ice fruit is almost ripe, so without further ado, let’s start picking it.

It was almost noon when we started picking fruits and it was getting very hot, so we started to go home.

After returning home, I immediately went to see the bread kiln. This is what Xu Han has been most concerned about in the past two days. The weather is very good, so we can start using it almost tomorrow.

It just so happens that the day after tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival, so there is no delay in using it. Xu Han had originally made preparations to use it only on the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, but she didn't expect the weather to be so good.

After lunch, I took a nap. After waking up, I fed the livestock at home and then set off again with the backpack on my back.

It was still early, so Xu Han planned to go to the nearby mountains to pick wild fruits.

I started searching according to the route I remembered, and first came to the location of the wild grapes. The wild grapes were growing well and the grapes were very large.

Xu Han picked a bunch and tasted it. Hmm! It was very sweet. Maybe it was because it received enough sunshine! The wild grapes here can be distinguished separately and eaten as fruits.

After picking everything, I had four full backpacks, and there were still some green ones left, so I could pick more in a few days.

Continuing forward, we arrived at the location of the sour jujube. This time, there seemed to be a lot more ripe sour jujubes than when we went to the mountains before. After all, more than ten days had passed, so there must be ripe ones.

After the Mid-Autumn Festival, we can go into the mountains to pick wild fruits again. We should be able to pick more than last time!

Xu Han put all of them into the backpack without hesitation. The sun was about to set, and Xu Han did not dare to delay any longer, and immediately started to head back.

When I got home, Lu Chuan had already returned and was processing the prey he had hunted today.

"You're back? Where have you been? I didn't see you." Lu Chuan asked immediately when he saw Xu Han coming back.

"I went to pick wild fruits near my home. It turns out that two people are more powerful. I didn't pick much in the whole afternoon by myself today!"
