With the Jade Emperor's deliberate protection, the monkey lived a very free life in heaven. He could even return to the human world from time to time to visit his fellow monkeys. As long as he didn't cause any major trouble, the Jade Emperor would not blame him.

Time passed little by little, and Ruyi came out of seclusion, but she suddenly felt a burning sensation. Her clay body dried up and shattered instantly, and she returned to her spiritual form.

"Laojun, can this really make Ruyi more powerful?" the monkey asked while squatting beside the alchemy furnace.

"This is how I refined it in the first place, how could I not know it?" Faced with the monkey's questioning, Laojun was so angry that he blew his beard and glared.

The monkey stared at the alchemy furnace, fearing that something might happen to Ruyi, but he and Laojun overlooked one point: Ruyi's real body and spirit body were now separated. Time passed quickly. Five hundred days in heaven and five hundred years on earth had passed. The Jade Emperor met with the monkey and told him his destiny. The monkey looked up confusedly and said, "So the Heaven doesn't want me anymore?"

The monkey's home is in the Flower-Fruit Mountain, where his relatives and tribesmen live, but all his good friends and confidants are in Heaven. So asking him to leave Heaven and go to the West is tantamount to driving him away.

"Don't worry, once you send Monk Tang to the West, we will come to pick you up right away," the Jade Emperor and the monkey promised. They also arranged for Marshal Tianpeng and General Juanlian to take good care of the monkey in the mortal world, and then began to arrange for the journey to the West to obtain the scriptures.

The monkey came to the mortal world, walked to the side of a mountain, built a small house and began to wait. Ruyi also followed the monkey, holding a naughty little monkey in his arms.

Tang Seng also bid farewell to the emperor and set out from the Tang Dynasty, traveling westward. He met a Bodhisattva who pointed him to the monkey's bamboo house.

"You are the monk Tripitaka who went to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures, right?"

"We are here specifically to wait for the Master to pass by. We are here to escort the Master to the Western Paradise to worship Buddha and seek scriptures. Didn't the Bodhisattva tell the Master?"
