Days and nights of pursuit of Dottore

Chapter 52: Of course we have to kiss when we meet

Zandik walked very fast, holding Xiaojiu in one hand and the long string of beads in the other, with an expressionless face.

Dozens of mechanical creatures swarmed out from the surroundings again, their long and pointed mechanical legs moving, and their inorganic eyes seemed to be sizing up Zandik, the only living person, but they were hesitating whether to attack, as if they were dissuaded by some force.

"It's this move again."

Zandik snorted in boredom. This thing was always there in every trial. It was either a mechanical puppet or a mechanical soldier. They were so heavy that they seemed to fall down. Only a fool would be attacked by this thing.

Not as interesting as the crabs that Cheng Yan casually assembled.

The constant "cracking" sounds of the wooden joints around him made Zandik's ears hurt, and he picked up Xiaojiu and decided to leave without hesitation.

His neck was suddenly hugged. Zandik paused and looked at Xiaojiu who no longer cared about him.

I found it was looking at the pile of moving mechanical creatures on the ground with a drooling expression.

"...Don't even think about it. I won't wait any longer for you to take their cores one by one."

When Xiaojiu heard this, he had no other reaction. He just rubbed Zandik's neck gently with his cold and smooth face, and wrapped his short and thin arms tightly around his neck.

There are so many round ones, to give to the owner...

Zandik was not expecting Xiaojiu's actions, and he pulled the robot out of his arms the moment his neck was touched.

Red eyes narrowed slightly, "Were you just acting like a spoiled brat?"

Xiaojiu blinked innocently, hoping that because of his kindness just now, the person in front of him would be merciful and let him go.

However, he didn't expect that Xiaojiu sacrificed himself to be so gentle to the person in front of him, and his pace became even faster.

"Don't even think about it. This trick of yours won't work on me. I will never wait for you again."

Zandik simply covered Xiaojiu's eyes with his hands and continued to move forward, pretending to be deaf and dumb.

Xiaojiu: Give me back what I sacrificed!

Ignoring the struggle of the little guy in his arms, Zandik walked along the narrow river in the center of the jungle. Water droplets hung on the grass by the roadside, soaking his trouser legs.

This road was longer than Zandik had imagined. Perhaps it was because he had not participated in this kind of trial for too long and he had little patience for this boring place.

Xiaojiu in his arms had stopped struggling and lay sullenly in Zandik's arms, as if waiting for his master to come and seek justice for him.

What caught his eyes was a dazzling green, even a somewhat boring green. Zandik closed his eyes impatiently.

Even if there is a hint of other colors in front of your eyes, such as black or something, it is a waste of life to just walk dryly.

It seemed as if the heavens were listening to Zandik's imagination. He lowered his eyes to look at the road for a moment, then raised them again, and the familiar black color appeared before his eyes.

Zandik stopped and looked closely at the figure.

Cheng Yan had just climbed out of the river in a panic, and the moment he climbed out, he kicked Rubia, who he had dragged out of the water, hard on the butt.

Cheng Yan was so angry that he wanted to beat him up.

"You! Don't try to die in front of me next time! Your boat just can't get through this water, right? Can you try somewhere decent? Because of you, I almost drowned twice today!"

Cheng Yan had no idea what was going on with Rubia's brain. He even said something like "Can you call it a ship if it doesn't sink?" His train of thought was even more refreshing than his own.

Before he put his hands down from his waist, Cheng Yan suddenly felt a gaze from behind.

I looked back with a sense of something, and happened to meet the red eyes that I had been thinking about all the time.

“Great!”

From the original place to Zandik's arms, Cheng Yan vividly interpreted what it means to be a "flying man".

Without even having time to take a closer look at the face of the person in front of him, Cheng Yan held Zandik's face and kissed him back and forth.

"Zan Zan, I missed you so much. You don't know what I went through along the way. I was almost tortured to death by that guy."

Cheng Yan's tone was resentful, and the corner of his lips was still pressed on Zandik's face.

Zandik didn't say anything, and put Xiaojiu, who wanted to jump up as soon as he saw Cheng Yan, into Cheng Yan's arms.

"You might as well ask it what it has done to me along the way."

His face was still filled with the wet and warm feeling of being kissed, but Zandik seemed to have gotten used to it and didn't even push Cheng Yan away.
