Hua Jintao replied: "First, eat pears; eating pears during the Waking of Insects symbolizes separation from pests and keeping away from diseases.

As the saying goes: "Cold in Jingzhe, warm in Chunfen", mid-spring is also a time of sudden changes in temperature, changeable temperature, and relatively dry climate. Eating pears can relieve dry mouth;

2. Covering the drum skin: Jingzhe is caused by thunder, so in the past there was a custom of offering sacrifices to the Thunder God on the Jingzhe day. On the day of Jingzhe, the Thunder God in heaven beats the celestial drum, and people on earth also use this opportunity to cover the drum skin;

3. Beating the villain: It is a folk custom to cut paper into the shape of a villain. During the Jingzhe solar term, people hit the paper villain with the soles of their shoes, in order to drive away bad luck and hope for good luck throughout the year.

4. Sacrifice to the White Tiger to resolve disputes. In Guangdong, people have the custom of sacrificing to the White Tiger to resolve disputes during the Waking of Insects.

According to legend, the white tiger is the god of tongues. The so-called white tiger sacrifice refers to worshiping a white tiger drawn on paper. During the worship, raw pork is smeared on the mouth of the paper tiger to prevent it from speaking ill of others.

Luo Ying asked again, "What's so special about the Jingzhe solar term?"
