Li Changxiao didn't know how many times he had drunk wine while looking for Luo Wunan. Sometimes when they were in a good mood, they would go to the secular world to have some fun.

But when I went there again, I only saw a drop of water floating on the mountain peak, without roots or source.

Li Changxiao shook his head, and after that, he rarely set foot on the mountains and seas. From that day on, he was the only cultivator in the world.

He sat alone in seclusion, or felt bored, and simply took a deep sleep. During this sleep, there were the collapse of the sky and the collapse of the earth, the falling of meteorites, and the extremely prosperous Tianji Avenue.

I don't know how much time has passed. I don't know how deep his cultivation has become. Sometimes he wakes up and walks around in the world for a hundred years or a thousand years. When he feels tired, he falls asleep again.

Repeatedly...

I don't know how much time has passed. Tall buildings have been erected, and after several changes in the world, everything that was ancient no longer exists.

Today's world, although still wonderful, is a highly ordered world that trusts "heaven's secrets".

It is hard to imagine how prosperous Tianji Road is now. Tall buildings stand like mountains, and neon lights shine brightly all night long.

Only recently, many strange things have suddenly occurred that cannot be explained by "heavenly secrets".

A scientific expedition team excavated an ancient building, which was magnificent. Someone picked up a Taoist book and tried to practice, and felt a warmth in his abdomen, a comfort he had never felt before. Deep in the forest, there is a big tree that bears a unique fruit, which has miraculous effects when eaten. It can cure all diseases and can make people return to youth.

Such changes have become increasingly serious and have reached a point where they are out of control.

A long-haired man, wearing an ancient white robe, was walking on the street. He was handsome and attracted a lot of attention. Behind him, there was a boy of about four or five years old.

The man said, "Do you remember what I told you?" The boy said, "I remember. The spirit energy has revived, and the monks have reappeared. We monks should strive for self-improvement and live up to the aspirations of our predecessors..." Halfway through his words, the boy, who was lively by nature, immediately asked what he thought of, "But Master, have you really lived from a long, long time ago until now?"

The man said, "Of course." The boy asked, "But why don't you age?" The man said, "Well, monks don't age. If you practice hard, you won't age either."

The man said, "Don't interrupt, there's more." The boy said, "I want to emulate the master, follow the master, and finally... surpass the master." The boy spoke very carefully, especially the words "surpass the master", which seemed disrespectful. He thought that if he really surpassed the master in the future, the master would be very embarrassed. The man said, "Speak louder." The boy shouted, "I want to surpass the master!"

The man was very pleased and said, "That's right, you should have such ambition. A disciple who doesn't want to surpass his master is not a good disciple."

The man gave him a gentle push, and the boy stumbled, but this stumbling step entered a new era for the monk. The boy overcame all the obstacles along the way, and his cultivation gradually deepened. When he reached a certain level, he recalled the figure of his master, and he felt that he was unfathomable. Although he had the ambition to surpass him, human power was limited. He often thought that being able to see his back in his lifetime was a great success.

Even the back is out of reach.

The spiritual energy revives, all things flourish, and it is another prosperous era.

Some people are one step ahead, and some people come later. Deep in the mountains, a drop of water without roots and sources shows its true spirit. Even if the sky collapses and the earth sinks, the river that has existed since ancient times is still restless.

Final remarks: This book has two million words, and I have been writing it for nearly five hundred days without realizing it. Alas, I could have written more, but later I made some cuts and omissions.

Let me mention it here. Originally, the main plot was longevity, and the disease of longevity was the hidden plot, with mythological stories inserted in the middle as a darker and more secret plot, such as "Chang'e Flying to the Moon", "Yugong Moving Mountains", "Jingwei Filling the Sea", "Dayu Controlling Floods", "Kuafu Chasing the Sun", etc., or written in the form of small stories, small plots, or in the form of parallel plots.

Of course, I didn’t write all of these according to real myths. The Changsheng Cave is the story of “Chang’e flying to the moon”. The Yanjia Village is the story of “Yugong moving the mountains”. The immortals filling the sea is the story of “Jingwei filling the sea”. The giants are the story of “Kuafu chasing the sun”… and so on. But later on, I made some cuts to different degrees, and many stories were simply not written.

There are two reasons. First, my writing skills are difficult to control. Second, I was impatient. I found that the later the book was, the tighter the tone became. It was difficult for me to insert small stories and daily life. Once I did, some readers would inevitably say that my writing was watery. So over time, I became impatient and changed many of the original arrangements.

There may be a few "differences" in the book, but that's unavoidable. As a whole, I think the book tells each story relatively completely.

As for the endings of Si Nian, Mei Sanniang, Zhang Mo, Su Qingmei, etc., why are they not mentioned in the main text? In fact, it is also the problem of the tone of the whole text as I said before.

The tone of the later part is heavy and urgent. In this case, I inserted this part of the plot again. It may be a little abrupt to slow down the rhythm. In addition, I deliberately left it blank so that readers can imagine it. After all, there is so much time and Li Changxiao is so free. What will happen depends on everyone's understanding.

Finally, I would like to thank my friends for their companionship over the past year. This book has been neither hot nor cold from the beginning to the end. I can stick to it until now, all thanks to the support and perseverance of my friends. Although it ended in a dull way, it is enough. If I have time in the future, I may update some extra chapters.
