Children of Loulan

Chapter 12 Dilidar and Dilibaier

The next morning, when Hanguli arrived at the Moon Courtyard, Dal and Baier were ready to change her clothes.

Dilidar is the elder sister and Dilibaier is the younger sister. The two sisters were originally from another village. Because their eldest uncle worked as a servant in a wealthy family in that village and had no children, he always treated them as his own children.

Therefore, their living conditions were not bad. The elder sister Dar liked to read, while the younger sister Bayer liked to wield swords and guns. The uncle was happy to satisfy their hobbies.

Originally according to this life trajectory, both of them would be able to find a good family in the village after they grow up, get married and have children.

But the accident came quietly. That night, the uncle was inspecting the courtyards as usual. But when he walked to the back window of a concubine's courtyard, he heard sparse laughter between men and women in the courtyard.

He was planning to turn around and leave, but suddenly he remembered that when he passed by the lady's yard, he clearly saw the master entering the lady's yard. Then what about the man in the concubine's yard... ?

When he thought of this, his heart suddenly became a little excited. If he could catch this concubine cheating, he would definitely be rewarded by the master and the mistress.

At this moment, the uncle only thought about the reward, but he did not expect that it was his greed at this moment that would cause his family to be destroyed!

For this greed, he tiptoed closer to the yard, wanting to see who the man in the yard was. But when he just leaned over the crack of the door, he couldn't see clearly who the man was.

He was discovered by the concubine's maid, who was also a loyal servant. After she found out, she screamed and yelled at her uncle, saying that he was peeping at the concubine and that he had been coveting the concubine for a long time. She threw all the dirty water on him.

The man who actually committed adultery ran away through the side door as soon as he heard the shouting, and the uncle was unable to defend himself when faced with the sudden appearance of dirty water.

No matter how he explained, the concubine's maid refused to change her words and insisted that he was the one who coveted her master. He knew that he had hit a stone wall.

Fortunately, he had worked in the rich family for many years, and the master originally trusted him and let him go. However, he knew in his heart that the concubine's secret had been discovered by him, and he would definitely not let him go.

However, he could not rashly tell the master without any evidence, so for the sake of his family's safety, he told the two sisters' parents about the matter in advance and asked them to take the two children out and hide for a while!

But Dar and Baier's parents had not walked far when they encountered bandits. Their parents were killed by the bandits in order to protect them. The two sisters fainted on the roadside due to hunger, cold and excessive fear while stumbling along the way.

However, coincidentally, on the same night, my uncle was caught molesting the concubine again, and this time even the master who had always believed in him was furious and said that he had misjudged him. When he was at a loss for words, he saw the master's disappointed eyes. Without the master's trust, he seemed to have lost his spiritual support. In the end, in order to prove his innocence, he rammed his head against a pillar, bleeding profusely, and died.

Later, when Ainuer and her mother happened to pass by that road, they saw the two sisters fainted on the ground, so they picked them up. In this way, the two of them worked as maids in Kuturuk's house for two years.

Two years later, someone from their village came and told them that everything that happened had been investigated clearly. The uncle was wrongly accused, and the concubine who framed him was executed by the master. The so-called bandits were also people hired by the concubine to impersonate them.

They were asked if they were willing to return to the village. Because they were picked up, they did not sign a contract to sell themselves and could return freely. However, they both refused because everyone in their family was gone, including their uncle, parents, and there would be only an empty house left if they returned.

But now, not only were their lives saved by their current masters, but they were also living very well here. What's more, they wanted to repay the life-saving grace.

Originally, Mrs. Luke wanted to give them to Ainur because one of them was good at literature and the other at martial arts. However, the two maids around Ainur grew up with her, and she was reluctant to part with her two maids.

So Mrs. Luke decided to give them both to Hanguli.

As soon as Hanguli, who was dressed neatly, walked out of the room, she saw Ainur standing outside her door. She asked with some doubt:

"Ainur, are you waiting for me?"

Ainuer nodded and responded with a smile:

"Well, let's go to the cloth shop today and pick out two pieces of the best cloth to make two sets of clothes!"

Ainur then took Hanguli out. When they arrived at the door, servants had already prepared a carriage. They took the carriage to the cloth shop. When the shopkeeper saw that it was Ainur, he immediately smiled and greeted her respectfully.

"Ms. Ainur, you are here!"

Ainur: "Well, take out the best cloth you have and show it to us..."

The shopkeeper said with a smile:

"Okay, ladies, please come in!"

The shopkeeper led the two of them into the inner room of the shop. The cloth inside was of the finest quality and was only for the nobles to choose from.

Most of the cloth outside is coarse cloth, and most of the common people choose it. After all, this is just a village, there are not many rich people, and most of them are common people.

So the cloth shop would occasionally have fine cloth, but they would not take it out for display, but only put it in the inner room. When the two entered, the shopkeeper pointed to a place and said:

"Ladies, the most fashionable fabrics are all here!"

Ainur looked over and saw a piece of aqua blue cloth and a piece of sky blue cloth. She turned around and said to the shopkeeper:

"Bring those two pieces of cloth here and let me see them!"

The shopkeeper nodded and immediately took down the two pieces of cloth and handed them to Ainur.

Ainur looked at it, touched the two pieces of cloth, and said to Hanguli with great satisfaction:

"Hanguli, look at these two pieces of cloth. Do they look good?"

Hanguli also looked carefully and responded with a smile

"Mm, it looks good, the color is so bright!"

After answering Ainur's question, Hanguli also reached out and touched the cloth. It was so smooth and tender.

Ainuer looked at her sincerely and asked:

"So do you like it?"

"like"

When Hanguli heard Ainur's question, she answered without thinking!

Seeing that Hanguli said she liked it, Ainur was also happy. She said to the shopkeeper:

"Ask your embroiderer to come out and measure our size!"

The shopkeeper said yes, and then told his servant to invite the embroiderer to come out.

Ainuer looked at the two pieces of cloth again and asked:

"Hanguli, which color do you like, this aqua blue or this sky blue?"

This time, Hanguli heard Ainur's words clearly. She said with some doubt:

"Ah, me? Didn't I do it for you?"

Ainuer smiled and said:

"If there's mine, there's yours. You have one and I have one. How beautiful!"

Hanguli was so frightened that she waved her hands and said:

"I don't want it. Look, this dress I'm wearing is still new!"

She originally thought that she was choosing it for Ainuer, but unexpectedly she was choosing it for herself as well. After all, she had several new dresses in her room!

The shopkeeper nearby saw a change in the business and immediately chimed in:

"My lady, if you and Miss Ainur choose the same two pieces of cloth and make a dress each, you will look like real sisters, how beautiful it will be!"

Seeing that Hanguli was still hesitating and wanted to refuse, Ainur lowered her voice and whispered to her

"Actually, I came here specially for you today. I am still relying on your help!"

"why?"

Seeing Hanguli still looking at him in confusion,

Ainur explained:

"Because our family has a big day in a few days, and we need you to attend!"

Hanguli asked curiously:

"What big day?"

"Next month, my father will have his birthday party. You and I will be there. Even the county magistrate will be there!"

After hearing what Ainuer said, Hanguli became even more confused, because in her eyes, since she was a substitute, she could only be a transparent person. Why should she be pushed in front of people? Aren't they afraid of being discovered?

In fact, the matter is very simple. Substitution is indeed something that cannot be made public, but as the saying goes, good news doesn't travel far, but bad news travels a thousand miles.

Every wealthy family in every village has several children, and everyone knows that if one wants to replace someone quietly, it is simply impossible, because after the person who replaces her enters the palace, the person who is replaced cannot disappear without reason. After all, she will need to marry in the future. Moreover, the person who replaces her cannot disappear without reason. There must be an explanation for where the person has gone!

It is also to prevent people from reporting the person in the area not under their jurisdiction in the future. Therefore, before the replacement, the rich family will announce to everyone that they will adopt the person as their adopted daughter, or announce that the person is their cousin.

Common people generally do not know that the substitution is done in secret. They just think that the rich family's grand banquet means that they can replace the rich openly.

What's more, even if they are replacements, they have the status of adopted daughters or cousins, so as long as they have a foothold in the palace for three to five years after entering, the matter will be completely settled. Even if it is uncovered by then, it will not cause any big waves.

Basically, it will all come to nothing in the end.
