The Great Dream God
Chapter 59 Returning to the team
Sun Yifang walked slowly out from the depths of the lush forest. Each of his steps seemed to be on the pulse of time, steady and powerful. He turned his back to the green forest, which was an endless sea of life, full of unknowns and secrets. His eyes were as deep as the night, but in an instant, they were like rubies sprinkled by moonlight, flashing bright red light. These eyes seemed to be able to see through everything and the mysteries of life, but also seemed to hide endless doubts and struggles.
He blinked, and like plucking a string, the red light instantly faded, returning to its original appearance, deep and mysterious. His eyes, like the changing weather, were unpredictable. He retracted his gaze, never looking back, and walked along a winding path, as if it was a path guiding him forward, or a monologue from his inner world.
Gradually, his figure merged with the group in front, and those hurried people did not notice the difference in his eyes. However, Meng Jin, the keen observer, caught this subtle change. When he saw Sun Yifang coming, he felt a chill in his heart, as if there was an invisible evil spirit lingering around Sun Yifang, like a ghost in the dark night, silent but impossible to ignore.
Meng Jin walked forward quickly, wanting to get closer to Sun Yifang and explore the source of the evil spirit. He looked at Sun Yifang, and there seemed to be a world hidden in those deep eyes, a world full of mysteries. He tried to find the answer from Sun Yifang's face, but the calm expression and hidden emotions made him even more confused. Did the evil spirit come from Sun Yifang himself, or from the story he experienced, or was it just a projection of some emotion in his heart?
In any case, Meng Jin knew that Sun Yifang was not an ordinary person.
Meng Jin frowned, his eyes full of confusion. He looked at Sun Yifang who suddenly came into his sight, and the questions in his heart surged like a tide. There was no sarcasm in his words, just pure curiosity. Why would a person who had just escaped from danger choose to turn back and step into this dangerous land again?
"Why did you follow me again?" Meng Jin asked softly. His tone was calm, but he couldn't hide his inner confusion. He didn't mean to question Sun Yifang's decision, but he just couldn't understand such a choice. After all, they were all fighting for survival, and every step could lead to a death trap.
Sun Yifang glared at Meng Jin fiercely, his piercing eyes burning with anger and dissatisfaction. His voice echoed in the air like thunder, and every word was like a sharp arrow, shooting straight into Meng Jin's heart. "I can come back whenever I want, what does it have to do with you!" He retorted, with an unyielding firmness in his tone.
"You are not the leader of this team!" Sun Yifang's tone became increasingly severe, as if he was challenging Meng Jin's position. "Who do you think you are to decide whether I stay or go? You really think of yourself as the leader of this team. This is ridiculous!" His words were full of sarcasm, as if he was mocking Meng Jin's self-righteousness.
Meng Jin's face showed an indescribable helplessness. He stared at the man in front of him as if he was looking at an unreasonable madman. "How can you be like a mad dog out of control, jumping on anyone you see without knowing right or wrong?" His voice was calm but with a hint of sarcasm, and every word was sharp, piercing the other person's heart. Before he could say anything critical, this person had already taken the initiative, his emotions boiling like boiling water. Meng Jin shook his head and sighed softly. He thought this person had lost his mind and his mind was filled with chaos.
"Your behavior is just like a person who is addicted to a crazy world and can't distinguish right from wrong." Meng Jin continued, and every word was like a sharp stone, accurately hitting the other party's blind spot. "In my opinion, you have lost your clear cognition, your thinking is confused, and your judgment is completely lost." Although his words were harsh, they reflected the facts.
"I really can't find anything good to say about people like you." Meng Jin's eyes turned cold, as if he was looking at a stranger, "You are that mad dog that barks incessantly and no one can tame!" His tone was firm and merciless, and every word revealed his disappointment and criticism of the person in front of him.
Sun Yifang's emotions were like a flaming gunpowder barrel. He pointed his finger directly at Meng Jin, his tone full of anger and dissatisfaction. "You are abusing your power and excluding dissidents under the banner of merit. Do you think your contribution is enough for you to boss people around? I tell you, Meng Jin, I don't think so!" His words were loud and clear, and every word was like a stone hitting the other person's heart.
“What you have done may be just a strategy that no one has thought of yet, but it does not mean that it is your unique ability. Everyone has the potential to make such a contribution, but the time has not come and the opportunity has not arrived. The next time I face danger, I will stand up and prove that I have the ability to protect everyone.” Sun Yifang’s eyes flashed with determination, and his chest stood up like a flag, declaring his determination.
"If I can successfully escort everyone through the difficulties, then the one everyone should listen to is me, not you. Your achievements do not make you superior to others. What you have, others can also have. You are not more special than any of us. You must understand this!" His words were like a sharp sword, piercing Meng Jin's heart, challenging his authority and self-confidence.
Wei Yanren stood aside, his face like a bitter gourd wet by rain, revealing helplessness and worry. Looking at the tense atmosphere in front of him, he couldn't help but interrupt: "Hey, Meng Jin, what's wrong with you? Why are you quarreling? Sun Yifang's return to the team is great news for us, isn't it? Sun Yifang, you don't have to be so sharp. Meng Jin did nothing wrong. We are all working towards the same goal."
He sighed, trying to ease the tense atmosphere. "We are a team. Our strength lies in unity, not in blaming each other. We have seen Meng Jin's efforts and contributions, and his decision was made out of consideration for the entire team. And Sun Yifang, your return has undoubtedly added new vitality to our combat effectiveness. We should be grateful, not quarreling."
Wei Yanren extended his hand and made a stop gesture. "Okay, okay, let's all take a step back and the world will be broader. It's better for us to each take 50 steps back and put an end to our dispute. Let's put aside these unnecessary disputes and refocus on our common goals. We should stop firing at each other and fight side by side to face the challenges ahead together."
