The Great Dream God

Chapter 50 Jigsaw Puzzle

Ellie's hands were shaking so much that she could hardly hold the sharp sword. Fear was like an icy snake wrapped around her heart, making her eyes flash with panic.

She stared with wide eyes in disbelief at the opponent who had just struggled back from the brink of death, her lips pursed into a line out of anger.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" She almost roared, her voice filled with shock and indignation. "How could you still be standing here alive when I cut you in half? What kind of weird magic or evil curse is this?" The tip of Ellie's sword trembled slightly, as if she was also afraid of the unknown that she was about to face.

Her eyes burned with rage, and she was determined to completely destroy the enemy in front of her, leaving no trace. "I will chop you into a paste, so that you will know the consequences of provoking me!" Ellie's words were full of determination, and the flashing of the sword seemed to foreshadow the coming storm. At this moment, her fear turned into the power of anger, and she was determined to cut off all the injustices in front of her.

As soon as Ai Li's words dissipated in the air, she rushed towards Meng Jin like a gust of wind.

The long sword in his hand flashed with a cold light, as if it condensed all the anger and determination.

The tip of the sword drew sharp arcs in the air, accompanied by puffing sounds. Every swing seemed to tear the air, and every impact left deep marks on Meng Jin's body.

Blood splattered like red rain, covering Ellie's face. Her eyes, her lips, and even her smile were stained bloody.

Meng Jin's figure gradually became blurred in the sword dance, and in the end only a bloody afterimage remained.

His body, once so strong, was now cut into pieces by Ellie's sword like meat paste, scattered on the ground, and could never be put together again.

Ellie's sword finally stopped. She gasped, and all the strength in her body seemed to be drained at this moment.

She staggered back a few steps, then fell weakly to the ground, sweat dripping from her forehead, every drop carrying fear and exhaustion after release.

Her eyes were full of shock, as if she couldn't believe what she saw was real.

"Finally... I killed you!" she whispered in a trembling voice, which contained both the joy of victory and the bitterness of relief.

Her forehead was covered with cold sweat, like crystal pearls, reflecting her pale and determined face.

Although Ellie was covered in blood, her determination and courage made her even more dazzling. She overcame her fear and her opponent, even though the price was so tragic.

The corpses of Mengjin, which should have been still on the ground, were moving. A corpse with a terrifying eyeball, its empty eyes suddenly flashed with a strange light, staring straight at Ai Li in front of him, as if piercing her soul. Another corpse with a broken lip began to move incredibly, as if driven by an invisible force, and began to utter a low and hoarse voice.

“You cannot kill me,” the voice echoed in the silent space, and every word seemed to come from the abyss of hell, “because this is your dream. And I am the master of this dream, the source of fear created by your subconscious mind!”

Ellie stared at this scene in a daze, her heart beating wildly like thunder. She couldn't understand, nor could she accept why these dead fragments suddenly awakened in her dream and could even control her dream. She tried to struggle, but the constraints of the dream were like invisible shackles, tightly binding her mind.

The body of Meng Jin, the eyes were like black holes, swallowing up all the light, and the mouth opened and closed, as if telling an ancient and terrifying story. They wandered in her dreams, as if they were laughing at her powerlessness, and as if they were warning her that her fear was not a sourceless water, but a shadow hidden deep in her heart.

In this dream world created by herself, Ellie felt unprecedented helplessness and panic. She knew that to overcome all this, she had to face herself and the fears she had been trying to escape from.

Ellie stood there, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze, and the surprise reflected in her pupils was like the morning star shining in the dark night.

When those words pierced her eardrums like a cold arrow, telling her that it was all just a dream, her heartbeat suddenly accelerated, like a wild horse running wildly in her chest.

Her body, as if suddenly grabbed by an invisible giant hand, began to slowly sink. The feeling was so real that she could not doubt it.

The space around her, the world she once thought was real, now seemed like fragile pieces of glass, shattering and collapsing piece by piece in her horrified eyes.

The stars disappeared, the sky faded, and the familiar scenes were distorted, like a canvas being painted by a crazy painter.

The wind whistled in her ears, as if mocking her helplessness, and as if whispering the boundary between dreams and reality.

Ellie's fingertips tried to touch the things that were disappearing, but she only caught emptiness.

Her breathing became rapid, and each inhalation carried fragments of shattered dreams that stung her lungs.

Her heart was filled with confusion and fear. This dream was so real that she almost forgot her original identity - a awake person, an observer outside the matter.

However, no matter how she struggled, the feeling of her body falling became stronger and stronger, and the space around her continued to collapse, swallowing her up.

Ellie understands that she must find a way out, break free from this endless nightmare and return to where she truly belongs.

The white light was like an ever-changing dream, suddenly illuminating the entire space and instantly enveloping Alice. She blinked, and the world in front of her seemed to be covered by a soft veil, and a pure white mist filled the air, blurring the boundaries around her, placing her in an unknown and mysterious place. Her heart was full of doubts, like a traveler lost in the fog, at a loss, yet full of curiosity.

Ai Li stared at the front, where a familiar figure was moving forward steadily. It was Meng Jin, whose steps were steady and firm, as if no matter how thick the fog was, it could not stop him. Meng Jin's back was looming in the white fog, like a silhouette in an ink painting, giving people a deep and mysterious feeling.

Ai Li couldn't help but clench her fists. The doubts and uneasiness in her heart intertwined, driving her to take steps and follow Meng Jin into the foggy world. Every step was accompanied by the lingering fog, as if she had stepped into a new dimension. She wanted to know why Meng Jin was so calm. Had he seen through the truth of the fog? Or did he have another destination in mind?
