I failed again

"Later, in a zombie tide, I died to protect Bai Ci, and then I became a zombie." Jiang Ruoyuan observed Chu Yunze's expression and saw that the other party was looking at him leisurely.

Some things would be more credible if you waited until Chu Yunze asked. If you just said them all at once, it would seem like you were guilty.

Chu Yunze propped his chin up with his hand and asked, "Bai Ci, aren't you surprised that you, a zombie, didn't kill humans but instead followed a human and acted like a little brother?"

"You still have human thoughts and don't want to hurt humans?" Chu Yunze asked softly.

Jiang Ruoyuan quickly explained, "I just wanted to deceive him. I don't have such thoughts in my heart! I have become a zombie and am an enemy of humans. How could I have such thoughts? I said this just to deceive him."

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Chu Yunze chuckled and said, "I didn't say you had such thoughts in your heart. When you said that, it seems like you are trying to cover up something."
