Chapter 14 Rescued

I don't know how long I was unconscious, my body was alternately hot and cold. I felt a warm sensation in several places, which then spread throughout my body. I wanted to see what was going on, but my eyelids were so heavy that I couldn't open them.

After sleeping for a while, my eyelids didn’t seem so heavy anymore, and I slowly opened my eyes.

I looked around vaguely, and everything in front of me was blurry. What was going on? I put my hands in front of my eyes and waved them around, but my vision was blurry. Am I blind?

I tried to sit up in panic, but someone pushed me back down immediately. "Don't move, it will be over soon." A strong male voice came into my ears, and for some reason I obeyed and didn't move.

After a while, the man seemed to pull out a few needles from my body. They must have been very thin and I didn't feel anything when they were pricked.

As soon as the needle was pulled out, my vision quickly became clear. I put my hand in front of my eyes and shook it again. It was very clear. I looked at the man next to me in surprise. This man was the one the woman called Daddy before I fainted.

I opened my mouth to say thank you, but even a fool could see that it was someone who saved me. The man put his finger to his mouth, signaling me not to speak, and I nodded.

"Girl, I don't know why you fell on the roadside. My daughter and I rescued you. We just treated you, but you can't speak now. My daughter will bring the medicine over later, and you should have a good rest." After saying this, the middle-aged man left.

I lay back on the bed and looked around. There was a strong smell of Chinese herbal medicine. It looked like a doctor's home. The room was not big, but it looked elegant.

I fell asleep in a daze, and when I woke up, it was completely dark outside. I tried to move my legs and found that they seemed to be better.

I was so excited that I wanted to get up, "You can't move now~" I looked towards the source of the sound. I was only paying attention to my legs and didn't notice that there was another person in the room, the girl who screamed at that time.

I sat up and looked at the woman. She was writing, or rather writing calligraphy. She continued writing without changing her expression, "Drink the bowl of medicine next to you."

I saw a bowl next to the bed with black liquid in it. I picked it up and put it to my nose and smelled it. A bitter smell came to me. I hesitated for a moment, then pinched my nose and drank it down.

In the past, my grandma liked to drink Chinese medicine when she was not feeling well. Every time she told me, you cannot savor the medicine when drinking it. The more you savor it, the more bitter it becomes, and you will not be able to drink the rest, and you have to gulp it down in one gulp.

It was my first time to drink Chinese medicine, and the bitter taste made me feel uncomfortable. After drinking a bowl of medicine, I frowned. The woman saw me finish the medicine, put down her brush, and walked over to me.

Only then did he take a closer look at the girl. She was dressed in a plain white dress, with her hair simply tied up with a hairpin. Her pair of peach blossom eyes made people know what it felt like to be as charming as water, and they were so lively that it seemed as if there were stars flashing in her eyes.

Seeing me staring at her, she blushed with embarrassment, "Miss, what's your name? Oh, by the way, you can't speak yet. My name is Zi Fu. Miss, you're seriously injured. My father gave you acupuncture. You'll be completely healed in a while."

I nodded to thank Miss Zi Fu. Zi Fu told me to have a good rest, left a candle for me and then left.

I took out the scalpel and stroked it gently. I don't know if it was my illusion, but I felt like the snake on it was looking at me. I pulled out the knife and looked at it carefully, thinking about Yaoyao in my mind.

Thinking about what happened on the edge of the cliff, I went from being confused at first to being angry later. I angrily thrust the knife back into the sheath, pinched the thumb of the magic wand to put the knife away, and lay down. The medicine must have taken effect, as I felt dizzy and fell into a deep sleep.

When I woke up, it was Zi Fu who woke me up, brought me some porridge, and then made me drink a bowl of medicine. Zi Fu found me a wooden board, brought me paper and pen, and asked me to write down whatever I had to say.

I tried to write a few words, and Zi Fu looked at it for a long time before he understood. We had a simple conversation, "Miss Le, I saw you first. Daddy checked your breath and pulse, and it was obvious that you had no breath. You were already dead. We went back to find some people. It happened to rain, so we came the next day. When we arrived, we saw that you were actually alive."

So was the uncomfortable choking feeling in my dream due to the rain? Was it just a dream? I reached out to feel if there was a bracelet on my hand, but there was none.

I was sure that I was dead. There was no way I could survive with a knife in the heart.

I definitely couldn't tell Zifu about this, so I wrote it down perfunctorily, saying I didn't know either. "Oh~" Zifu believed it and asked a few more questions about family matters.

After we chatted for a while, Zi Fu moved a small table for me, put some paper and pen on it to prevent me from getting bored, and then went out saying that he wanted to help his father.

I was so bored, I almost felt moldy lying down, but this medicine is so powerful, no matter how sleepy I am, I feel sleepy after drinking it. Maybe it's because I drank some porridge today, I have some energy, so I didn't feel sleepy after drinking it, and I lasted for a while.

Zi Fu estimated that after about an hour, he came back with his father. "Miss, you are feeling better today. This is the last time today. After this time, it will be enough."

I lay there obediently, waiting for the acupuncture. I was a little scared and closed my eyes nervously. When I received the first injection, it was a little painful. Later on, I felt a little sore and numb. After the first injection, I was not so nervous anymore.

After a few needles were inserted, the whole body felt numb. The man gave Zi Fu some instructions and continued to work. The places where the needles were inserted felt warm as before, especially the leg that had been unable to move before felt a little hot.

"Miss Le, I'm going to remove the needles for you. Please be patient and don't move." Zi Fu skillfully removed all the needles and then handed me a bowl of medicine. This bowl was obviously much larger than the previous one.

I pinched my nose and drank it directly. This bowl of medicine was much more effective than the previous ones. As soon as I finished drinking it, I fell asleep on the bed.

When I woke up again, I was coughing violently. I opened my mouth and tried to say "ah" a few times. When I felt I could speak, I got out of bed. As soon as I got out of bed, my legs went weak and I fell to the ground. I stood up with the help of the bed. It should be because I hadn't gotten out of bed for a few days and I was not used to it.

After trying to walk a few steps, I felt much better. This doctor is really amazing. I got better in just a few days. I started to walk around the room. I was so suffocated in the past few days. It felt like I was not awake for a long time and was sleeping all the time.

"Ga Ji" the door opened, Zi Fu came in with some food, saw that I was awake, and told me to come and eat quickly.

I drank that bowl of porridge these days. When I smelled the aroma of the food, my stomach started to growl. I didn't bother to be polite with Zi Fu and started eating while sitting at the table.

There were a few delicious home-cooked dishes. I must have been very hungry. The food was very tasty and I finished a bowl of rice very quickly. It was magical. I hadn't eaten for such a long time, but I was full after just one bowl of rice. It must be the effect of the medicine.
