Two treasure maps

Chapter 3: The Girl Punished by Heaven (Part )

On this winding mountain land that looks like a fairyland on earth, the water surface of the Red Dragon Pond is a deep dark blue. Shallow signs of dryness and cracks appear on the edge of the pond, like scars, which are out of tune with the surrounding beautiful scenery.

Not far away, in a dense forest, sunlight shines through the gaps between the leaves and falls on the ground, forming mottled light and shadows. A tree house is cleverly hidden among them, as if it is a gift from nature.

The construction of the tree house is full of ingenuity and craftsmanship. It uses thick branches as support, and then cleverly weaves slender vines and bark into walls. The roof is covered with thick leaves, which can not only block wind and rain, but also let the sun pass through, bringing warmth and light to the house.

The layout of the tree house is simple and warm. In the center is a carpet made of tiger skin, which is soft and comfortable. There are several futons scattered around the carpet for people to sit and lie on. There are some handmade decorations hanging on the walls, which are full of natural and primitive atmosphere.

At this moment, a seven-year-old girl was sitting on a tiger-skin carpet and reading a book quietly. Her eyes were focused and bright, as if she had been immersed in the world of the book. However, after an unknown amount of time, she suddenly put down the book, frowned slightly, and seemed a little irritated.

She stood up and followed the rope ladder out of the tree house to the swing not far away. The swing was also built with branches and vines, simple but sturdy.

The little girl sat on the swing and swung gently. As the swing swung, her mood seemed to gradually calm down. She closed her eyes, felt the spring breeze on her face, listened to the birds singing in the woods and the sound of flowing water in the distance, as if she was integrated with the whole nature.

The girl's name is Guo Lingli. She came to this fairyland on earth with her parents and siblings four years ago. Their mission was to guard the Red Dragon Pond, but according to their brothers, they were abandoned by their family.

She didn't understand why her grandmother insisted on raising the twins separately. Whenever her third brother Guo Feimo complained about why their mother didn't send her to her third uncle's house but sent her sister Guo Fengli away, Guo Lingli would always remain silent, with an unspeakable sense of loss in her heart.

Three years ago, my grandfather and my third uncle's family also moved here. My third brother Guo Feimo and my eldest sister Guo Liuli often went to play with my second sister Guo Fengli, but Guo Lingli was always the one who was ignored. Her existence seemed to become redundant in this family. No matter how hard she tried, she could not fit into the happy atmosphere.

Until this year, her second great uncle Yun Xin, who did not share the same surname as her family, also came to live here. Guo Lingli was completely excluded from family meetings. Even her five-year-old sister Guo Meili could attend the meeting, but she was not qualified. This feeling of being marginalized filled her heart with bitterness and helplessness.

However, in this neglected corner, Guo Lingli found her own little world. Her second brother Guo Feipeng was her only comfort. He built a tree house and a swing for her, allowing her to find fun in this green forest.

Although the Red Dragon Pond has lost its former aura and become lifeless, it has become a paradise in Guo Lingli's heart. She often sits on the tiger skin carpet and reads quietly, or goes down the rope ladder to swing on the swing. Here, she can stay away from the troubles of the family and enjoy a moment of peace and freedom.

Guo Lingli sat on the swing, swinging gently. Her mind was still immersed in why the family meeting was held, and her own thoughts were not on her mind. Suddenly, as the swing swung, her sight inadvertently fell on the edge of the Red Dragon Pond.

There, a wet figure was lying on the ground, looking very strange. Guo Lingli's curiosity was aroused, she stopped the swing and slowly walked closer. She saw that the man was wearing a torn black dress, his face was very haggard, and his face was covered with scars. His original appearance had become ugly.

Guo Lingli was shocked. She was just using the formation net in the Red Dragon Pond to catch a few birds to improve the food. Could she have disfigured someone? Few people came here. Even if they did, they would not float in the air because they lost their spiritual energy. How could he have touched the formation net?

She realized that this person was not simple and that she might be in trouble. She squatted down and tried to ask about the man's condition, but found that he had fallen into a coma. She carefully reached out her hand and felt the man's breath, and found that he was still breathing weakly.

Guo Lingli thought about it and decided that she couldn't just leave it alone. She got up and ran back to the tree house, fetching some simple medical supplies and a blanket. She carefully wiped the stains and blood off the man's face, and wrapped him in the blanket to prevent him from catching a cold.

After some effort, the man's face finally turned a little rosy. Guo Lingli breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she had temporarily saved the man's life and there would be no serious consequences.

She quickly removed the formation net in the Red Dragon Pool. This was her biggest secret and she must not let anyone find out.

As time went on, the man's breathing gradually stabilized and he seemed to be recovering slowly.

She returned to the swing and swung happily, but from time to time she glanced at the person lying by the pool out of the corner of her eye, praying silently in her heart: after waking up, if she doesn't find anything unusual and leaves directly, she must not go to Guojiazhuang.

Although they were the only family in Guojiazhuang, the house there was originally built by their parents and brothers. It was said that everyone actually re-established a family at that time, called the Yinglin Family. But when my grandfather came, he not only occupied the best main house, but also stopped talking about re-establishing a family. The families came together again, built many houses, and formulated many rules, forming the current Guojiazhuang.

Emperor Xiu Guo Xiu slowly woke up, feeling the soft and warm blanket on his body, with a flash of surprise in his eyes. He tried to use his magic power, but found that his body was still empty. The magic power seemed to be completely locked by some force and could not be mobilized at all. He struggled to get up, but his body was so weak that even the most basic movement became extremely difficult.

He turned his head, his eyes gradually focused on the little girl swinging on the swing in the distance. She was wearing a light pink fairy dress, the hem of her skirt fluttering in the wind, like a blooming peach blossom, with an innocent smile on her face, looking carefree. The sunlight shone on her through the gaps in the leaves, giving her a golden halo.

Guo Xiu's heart was filled with mixed emotions. He had never thought that he would appear in front of a little girl in such a miserable state in this remote place. He tried hard to recall what happened before. How could this place stir up the inner demons deep in his heart? Thinking of his disfigured face in the water and feeling the warmth on his body, he wondered: Isn't she afraid?

He watched the little girl swinging happily on the swing, and a hint of bitterness rose in his heart.

For many years, he has been the high and mighty emperor of Xiuguo, controlling the life and death of countless people. Now, in this forgotten corner, he feels the long-lost peace. He doesn't want to think about the complicated affairs of the court, nor does he want to face the intrigues of power struggles. He just wants to know where his fate will lead him in this life.

Listening to the birdsong and the sound of running water in the distance, he decided to stay here for a while. He wanted to see what else the Jade Emperor's son could let him experience. Life is too lonely, and a little ups and downs can be regarded as adding spice to life.

He is now physically weak and has lost all his magical powers, so he will just treat it as if there was something wrong with his previous practice and start practicing again. This kind of thing has happened before.
