I fought guerrilla warfare in the Yimeng Mountains during the Anti-Japanese War

In the early morning of May 5, the Yimeng guerrillas and more than ten divisions of the National Army launched an attack at the same time. One of the two Japanese regiment commanders was killed, and the remaining commander committed suicide by disembowelment after sending a farewell message, preferring to die rather than face the devil's army.

Anlu City was the first to be liberated. By one o'clock in the afternoon, other cities also began to be liberated one after another. In one day, five of the eight outer cities of the 11th Army's first line of defense were captured.

The Yimeng guerrillas did not stay in Anlu. After an afternoon of advance, they arrived outside the city of Yunmeng and set up camp outside the city.
