Hogwarts: The Savior's Strong Cousin

Chapter 388 All the truth

Harry pondered for a moment, then said firmly, "We have to find out the truth ourselves. We can no longer rely entirely on the professors."

Over the next few days, Harry, Ron, and Hermione began to conduct more careful research, looking up more information about Salazar Slytherin in the library, trying to find out the secret behind the necklace.

One night, Harry found an old diary in the corner of the library. The author of this diary seemed to be a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and it recorded many rumors and magic experiments about the necklace. Harry carefully flipped through it, and Hermione and Ron also helped.

"Look here," Hermione said, pointing to a page in the diary, "This description mentions a special ability of the necklace - it not only provides powerful protection, but also enhances the magical power of the wearer."

Ron's eyes widened. "So, this necklace is not only a protective holy device, but also a tool to enhance magic?"

Harry felt vaguely uneasy, "This explains why the professors are so interested in it. But we need more evidence that they are using us."

At this moment, the door of the library suddenly opened and Professor Snape walked in. He glanced at the three people and said coldly: "Potter, Granger, Weasley, what are you doing here?"

Harry quickly closed the diary and stood up. "We are studying the relics of Salazar Slytherin, Professor."

Snape narrowed his eyes and said in a cold tone, "You'd better be careful. Some knowledge is not suitable for students like you."

Harry looked directly at Snape, and secretly decided not to be passive anymore. He knew that he had to find the truth and uncover the secrets hidden by the professors.

That night, Harry, Ron and Hermione returned to Gryffindor Tower to discuss their next plan. Hermione suggested that they sneak into the professors' offices to find out more about the necklace.

"This is dangerous, but we have no choice," Harry said, "We have to find out what the professors are hiding."

On a dark and windy night, Harry, Ron and Hermione decided to take action. They used the invisibility cloak and Hermione's magic to successfully sneak into Professor Snape's office. Harry's heartbeat accelerated, he knew that this action was full of risks.

They searched the office and finally found some documents in a hidden drawer. Hermione quickly glanced at them and whispered, "These documents mention the specific uses of the necklace, as well as some correspondence between professors. They seem to be discussing how to use the power of the necklace."

Harry felt a surge of anger and disappointment. "Sure enough, they have been using us. They only want the power of the necklace, not the real protection for us."

Ron clenched his fists, "This is too much! We can't be kept in the dark any longer."

Hermione said calmly, "We need more evidence that the professors are using us. We have to expose the truth and let everyone know."

Just then, footsteps were heard outside the door. Harry's heart tightened and he quickly hid the documents. They hid under the invisibility cloak and held their breath. Professor Snape came in, looked around, and seemed to find nothing unusual, so he left.

Harry and the other two breathed a sigh of relief, quickly left the office and returned to Gryffindor Tower. They knew that this action was just the beginning, and they needed to be more cautious and smarter to uncover all the secrets hidden by the professors.

In the next few days, Harry, Ron and Hermione continued their secret investigation. They searched for clues in every corner of Hogwarts and gradually pieced together a more complete picture. They found that not only Professor Dumbledore, but some other professors seemed to be involved.

One night, Harry met Professor Dumbledore outside the headmaster's office. Harry felt nervous, but he knew that he had to face the truth.

"Professor, I have something to say," Harry said, summoning his courage.

Dumbledore smiled and nodded, "Of course, Harry. What did you want to say?"

Harry looked Dumbledore straight in the eye and said in a deep voice: "I know you are using us. The power of the necklace is not just protection, you have not told us the truth."

Dumbledore's smile gradually disappeared, and a complex emotion flashed in his eyes. He sighed softly and said, "Harry, you are a smart boy. It is true that there are some things we didn't tell you, but that's because we don't want to put too much pressure on you."

Harry felt a mixture of anger and disappointment in his heart. "Professor, no matter what, we have the right to know the truth. We don't want to be used, we want to protect Hogwarts, but we need to know all the facts."

Dumbledore was silent for a moment, and finally said: "Okay, Harry. You do have the right to know. We will hold a meeting and tell you all the truth. But you must understand that some things are far more complicated than you think."

After Harry and Dumbledore finished their conversation, Harry was filled with mixed emotions. He returned to Gryffindor Tower and told Ron and Hermione what had happened. The three of them sat by the fireplace in silence for a while, each with their own thoughts.

"Do you think Professor Dumbledore will tell us the whole truth?" Ron asked worriedly.

"I don't know," Harry sighed, "but I don't think he would completely deceive us. He might actually have his intentions."

Hermione frowned, thought for a moment, and said, "Harry, you're right. Professor Dumbledore always wants to protect us and Hogwarts, but he may feel that some things are not suitable for us to know."

Harry nodded, and his heart gradually calmed down. He began to realize that Dumbledore's decision might be to make them more focused and prepared when facing danger. "Maybe the professor really has his own difficulties. He may feel that we are not ready to face all the truth."

A glimmer of understanding flashed in Hermione's eyes. "Professor Dumbledore has always been concerned about the safety of Hogwarts and the growth of us students. He may feel that if he tells us the whole truth, it will put us under too much pressure."

Ron was silent for a while, and finally nodded in agreement. "Maybe, but I still think we should know more. After all, we have the right to know the truth."

Harry held the necklace and felt the familiar power flowing. He gradually strengthened his belief that no matter what the professors' intentions were, they must be prepared to face the challenges of the future.
