Chang'an Xu's hometown

Chapter 29 Going to the Little Girl's House

After about a cup of tea, the little girl opened her eyes and woke up. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Tang Chang'an holding her hand in front of her.

She knew that if Tang Changan hadn't saved her just now, she might not be alive now, so she quickly held her hand and thanked her.

She said to her, "Miss, you are such a kind person. Thank you for saving me. I, Du Zhizhi, am here to pay my respects. If you hadn't saved me, I might not be in this world now."

Miss, what is your name? I must repay you well.

Tang Changan scratched her head when she heard her words, then smiled innocently and said to her, "You don't have to be so polite. I don't need your repayment. I didn't save you for any reward. I just happened to see you unconscious next to the tree. It was fate, so I saved you.

My name is Tang Changan, I am not some young lady. Your name is Du Zhizhi, right? What a nice name. I should be a few years older than you. I call you Sister Zhizhi, and you can just call me Sister Anan.

Du Zhizhi shook her head when she heard Tang Changan's words and said to Tang Changan: "How can I not repay you, Sister Anan? Although I am young, I have not read much and I don't have much money. But I still understand the principle of repaying kindness.

Then, Du Zhizhi took out a small red and yellow egg from her skirt pocket. She held the egg in her hand and said to Tang Changan, "This is the animal that grew up with me. The eggs it left behind before it died may not be worth much, but they are my most precious things.

Now I'm handing it over to you, Sister An An, you are a good person, I believe you will treat it well.

When Tang Changan heard Du Zhizhi's words, she quickly shook her head and pointed at the egg and said to her: "Hey, how can you give this to me? This is your most precious thing! I can't take it. Sister Zhizhi, you should take it back.

Du Zhizhi heard what Tang Changan said to her and hurriedly said to her: "Sister An'an, you take it, you still take it. You saved me, and I don't have anything good to repay you, so this is the only thing I can do to repay you.

Tang Changan heard what Du Zhizhi said to her and was about to say something to her, but before she opened her mouth to say anything, her stomach suddenly made a rumbling sound.

Tang Changan felt embarrassed and her face turned red instantly.

Du Zhizhi heard the sound of Tang Changan's stomach. She quickly said to her, "Sister An'an, look at my memory. We have been chatting for so long, you haven't eaten yet, right?

I'm hungry too, Sister An An, come home with me to eat. My family should have prepared the meal by now, my home is not far from here.

Sister An An, do you see the tree in front of you? After you reach the tree, walk about five miles ahead and you will reach my home.

After Du Zhizhi finished speaking, she handed the egg in her hand to Tang Changan. Just as Tang Changan was about to give the egg to Du Zhizhi, Du Zhizhi grabbed her hand and took it to the tree.

Then Du Zhizhi said to her: Sister An An, you take it first, and give it to me even if you don’t want to go home.

Then they walked forward together. After walking for about a cup of tea, they saw a wounded kitten on the road. The kitten was covered in blood and had wounds all over its body.

When they saw it, they ran to the injured kitten. The kitten was motionless, covered in blood, and surrounded by its hair. They wanted to save the kitten and started to think of ways to save it.

But they had nothing around them.

Du Zhizhi said to Tang Changan, "Sister An'an, we don't have any tools to heal the kitten right now.

At present, we can only find a way to bandage the kitten, and then we will quickly go to my house. My house is not far from here. We will almost reach my house after walking for a few miles.

I have a big wooden box at home, and in the box there are herbs that can be used to treat kittens.

After hearing what Du Zhizhi said, Tang Changan nodded in agreement. Then, she tore off the fabric at the hem of her skirt with her hands.

She took the torn cloth in her hand and began to bandage the kitten carefully.

After a moment, she bandaged the kitten's wound with the cloth she had torn from the hem of her skirt.

Afterwards, Tang Changan handed the egg in her hand to Du Zhizhi, then she picked up the kitten whose wound she had bandaged with the cloth torn from her skirt, and ran quickly with Du Zhizhi. Soon they saw a small wooden house in front of them with smoke coming out of the chimney.

Du Zhizhi was very happy when she saw the cabin.

She said to Tang Changan, "Sister Anan, do you see the cabin with smoke coming out of the chimney in front of you? That's my home.

We are about to arrive at my home. The food should be ready by now. We will have dinner when we get home. Sister An An, aren't you hungry?

Then they continued walking forward.

After about a cup of tea, they arrived in front of the cabin.

Then, Du Zhizhi pushed open the door of the cabin with her hand.

Everything behind the cabin door was revealed to them.

Tang Changan walked into the cabin and saw that it was decorated very cozy. The first thing she saw was a painting hanging on the wall facing the door.

The painting depicts a young woman in white and a woman who is slightly older than the woman in white and dressed in dark black. The background is a picturesque, antique and luxurious courtyard.

They sat on chairs in the courtyard and drank tea. They had smiles on their faces, which made people feel that they were very happy.

Tang Changan thought to herself: "The person who painted this picture must be a master painter.

This painting is so lifelike that it doesn't feel like a portrait. The people in the painting seem to be alive.

Tang Changan was very curious and wanted to turn around and ask Du Zhizhi at the door.

But when she turned around, she saw Du Zhizhi kneeling on the ground behind the door, crying and hugging a woman who was older than her and wearing a blue dress and a white veil on her face.

When Tang Changan saw this, she hurried to Du Zhizhi's side, and after a moment she was by Du Zhizhi's side.

Tang Zhengan ran to Du Zhizhi and saw that she was still crying, so he reached out and patted her on the back to comfort her.

Afterwards, Du Zhizhi calmed down and said to Tang Changan, "Sister An'an, can you help me? Sister An'an, please help me and help me lift her.

I can’t lift her by myself, so help me carry her to the wooden bed in the wooden house. She is my elder, and she fell down.”

Tang Changan nodded after hearing Du Zhizhi's request.

Then, she gently placed the kitten in her arms on the chair next to the table in the wooden house, and then she and Du Zhizhi lifted the woman in blue who was lying on the ground.

While carrying her together with Du Zhizhi, Tang Changan saw that the woman who was older than Du Zhizhi and was wearing a blue dress and a white veil on her face had eyes exactly the same as the older woman in dark black painted on the wall of the wooden house opposite the door.
