The old man's eyes were still gentle. Eris took Ariana aside and said, "Please come in..."

The old man bowed and walked into the house. Jim's voice came: "Eris, who's here?"

Edwards did not answer, but led the old man to the living room, where Jim was already waiting. The old man stretched out his hand and shook hands with Jim, saying, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Greene. My name is Albus Dumbledore. I'm here to discuss Edwards' admission with you." Jim looked at the old man named Dumbledore with a puzzled look on his face.

"Every one of our faculty members is better than me." Dumbledore's voice remained gentle. "As I said, we are a full boarding school. Aris will receive the best education there."

Aerius and Ariana were also sitting nearby, listening to the conversation between the two adults. Dumbledore would look at Ariana from time to time, his eyes were extremely complicated, with memories, tenderness, and regret...

As if noticing Dumbledore's gaze, Jim introduced: "My daughter, Ariana Greene, my angel!" Jim's tone was extremely doting.

Dumbledore was stunned again, nodded to Ariana and said, "Nice to meet you, Ariana..."

Ariana shrank back and snuggled in Aris' arms.
