Became good friends with the Boy Who Lived
Chapter 187 Opal Necklace
At the invitation of Harry and his friends, Aeris went with his three companions to visit Hagrid.
Hagrid was a little upset that Harry, Ron, and Hermione did not take his advanced class, and he banned Harry and them from entering the house from the beginning. It was only after Harry threatened to blow up the door of Hagrid's hut that Hagrid opened the door.
"I'm a Professor...Professor...Potter! How dare you threaten to blow down my door?" Hagrid roared at Harry after opening the door.
"I'm so sorry, sir!" said Harry, emphasizing the word "sir".
Hagrid was stunned for a moment, then his tone softened: "When did you call me...Mr...?"
"When did you call me...Potter...?" Harry asked teasingly.
"Okay! You win! Come in!" Hagrid said with a helpless smile.
Hagrid was just angry that he couldn't see Harry and his friends outside of class time. During this relaxing afternoon tea time, Hagrid also expressed his understanding for Harry and his friends.
"I actually know that," Hagrid said, "You don't have much energy to choose my advanced class courses... But Aeris is a good guy. He often comes to help me, even if he doesn't have the task of assisting my course."
"Why didn't you call me?" Hermione said to Aeris in a stern tone.
"As a teaching assistant, I have relatively ample time, but it's different for you. The homework alone is enough to overwhelm you!" Aris said slowly while chewing a rock cake.
This afternoon, Hagrid showed his vulnerable side. Aragog (a giant eight-eyed spider), Hagrid's pet that had been with him for more than fifty years, was about to die. Whenever Hagrid mentioned this, he would cry like a baby.
But it was difficult for Harry and Ron to empathize with Hagrid's feelings, especially Ron, who suggested that Hagrid use some evil spells to end Aragog's suffering. Of course, Ron was kicked hard in the calf by Hermione.
Before they knew it, winter had arrived at Hogwarts, as well as the first heavy snowfall of the winter. After the DA party, Hermione invited Aerys to visit Hogsmeade.
Aries glanced at the sky where snow was still falling, and asked Hermione unsurely, "I'm not being pretentious... dear... this weather is really not suitable for traveling... are you sure?..."
Faced with Hermione's resentful look, Aries had no choice but to agree. Harry, Ginny, Ron and Lavender also went with him.
It was not a pleasant trip because of the heavy snow. The few of them just drank a bottle of butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks and prepared to return to Hogwarts.
An accident happened on the way back. Katie Bell, a seventh-grade student at Gryffindor, started arguing with her friend for some unknown reason. Later, they fought over a package. The moment the package was torn open, Katie Bell floated into the air like a kite and let out a creepy scream.
The sudden accident scared Aris, Harry and others so much that when they reacted, Katie Bell had already fallen heavily on the snow. The culprit that hurt Katie Bell: an exquisite opal necklace, fell on the snow not far away.
Aris ran over quickly, and the rest of his companions followed. Ron shouted, "What the hell is going on?"
Katie Bell's friends were also screaming, totally confused and at a loss. Hermione, Ginny, and Lavender wanted to help Katie Bell up, but were stopped by Aries: "Don't touch her, it's an indiscriminate curse..."
Aeris waved his wand and three snowmen stood up from the snow. Aeris waved his wand again and a stretcher appeared out of thin air.
"You two," Aris pointed his wand at two of the snowmen, "send Miss Bell to Madam Pomfrey and tell Professor McGonagall that Miss Bell was harmed by a dark magic item of unknown origin."
The two snowmen took action, lifted Katie Bell onto the stretcher, then lifted the stretcher and trotted towards Hogwarts.
Ron wanted to pick up the opal necklace on the snow, but Aris quickly stopped him: "Don't touch it! Otherwise, you will end up like Katie Bell. Be careful, Ron!"
Aeris waved his wand again, and the third snowman moved, picked up the opal necklace, held it in both hands, and handed it to Aeris.
Aeris first observed it carefully, frowned, and said to the snowman: "Go back to Hogwarts!"
The snowman held the opal necklace and turned to walk towards Hogwarts. Aris called out to Harry and the others, as well as Hermione who was comforting Katie Bell's friends, and followed the snowman, quickly walking back to Hogwarts.
