Blending of Planes: I am leisurely farming

Chapter 167 The First Visitor

A second-hand pickup truck was driving slowly on a dirt road in the countryside. Time had turned the roaring engine sound into something like an old smoker that would jam and emit black smoke from time to time. The old, almost non-existent shock absorbers forced the occupants of the car to straighten their backs and try to keep steady.

However, this discomfort did not dampen the high spirits of the little-headed owner in the car.

Her curious eyes would occasionally look through the car window at the vibrant rural world outside the car.

They would either wave to an old man leisurely driving cattle on the roadside, or excitedly point at the lush green crops on the ridges of the fields and ask a series of questions to the driver beside them.

The camera of the mobile phone jumped in her hand, capturing every memorable moment. The laughter was like the clear sound of silver bells, inadvertently filling the entire carriage and quietly infecting everything around her.

"Bang!" There was another violent bump and the car jumped over a deep pit. The owner of the little head was caught off guard and hit the roof of the car. He instinctively covered his head with both hands and looked pitifully at the person driving next to him, expressing his dissatisfaction.

"I told you to be careful, and now you've hit your head again." The driver's words were filled with blame, but the unconscious upward curve of his mouth revealed his true emotions.

"Woo~ You did it on purpose!" The little girl pouted and complained angrily.

"Okay, okay, don't feel wronged. I'm just letting you experience the most realistic rural adventure. Next time I will remember to slow down in advance to ensure that your little head won't be wronged again." The driver said as he slowed down the car, trying to make the rest of the journey smoother.

Reina immediately became excited after hearing this, "Thank you, where are we going next?" she asked expectantly.

Yes, it was Shane who was driving the second-hand pickup truck.

Today, he ended his business trip in Zuzu City and started his journey back to Pelican Town.

The back of the pickup was filled with an electric tricycle, several large barrels of fuel and some small items.

Since there is no gas station in Pelican Town, the fuel is the lifeline of this pickup truck for the next period of time.

The lively girl sitting in the passenger seat was named Reina.

She was a local girl that Shane met by chance in Zuzu City.

Because of her good family background and a father who loves her, this environment has cultivated her into the lively, cute, curious and friendly character she has today.

Coincidentally, Lena is a die-hard fan of the "Pelican Town Time" account created by Sean.

Ever since she watched the first video posted by Hailey, she has been yearning for Pelican Town, which is 2-3 hours away from Zuzu City.

However, as she had no friends to accompany her and her father was worried about her going alone to the remote countryside where there was no communication signal, this dream remained in her heart.

Just like that, as the daughter of a used car dealership owner, Reina overheard the conversation between Shane and his father by chance.

She captured the key words "Stardew Valley", "Pelican Town", and "buying a car" in the conversation between the two men.

Being very smart, she immediately seized the opportunity and volunteered to take on the task of receiving Shane, and inadvertently learned from Shane that he was from Pelican Town.

So, Reina took this as an opportunity to pester Shane.

She revealed her father's lowest price for the car in exchange for Shane's promise to take her to Pelican Town.

Therefore, after completing the formalities related to the "Jin Ke La" fertilizer, Shane took Reina with him on his return trip.

Along the way, although Shane always seemed impatient with her, he was actually a man with a sharp tongue but a soft heart.

Faced with Reina's enthusiasm, although he kept complaining, he was very caring in his actions, and the relationship between the two became closer.

"Reina, remember our previous agreement? I am only responsible for taking you to Pelican Town." Shane reminded, "The bus stop is in front. You get off there. I have to go get busy."

"Don't leave me. Can you bear to leave such a lovely person in this wilderness?" Lena pretended to be pitiful and argued.

Xie En held his forehead and sighed, making a final concession: "I really lost to you. Come on, wait for me to deliver the car and take you to town, then don't follow me."

"Yeah." Lena was naturally relieved and agreed readily.

Now is the time, I can figure out a solution when I get to town, Lena thought.

So the pickup truck drove into Sean's farm and stopped outside the wooden house. Shane pulled Lena out of the car.

At this time, Sean had just returned to the farm from Haley's house after busying himself with fertilizer packaging. He heard the unusual sound of a car engine, and he guessed that it was Shane coming back.

When they walked out of the cabin, Sean was surprised to find a little girl walking in front, looking around and curious about everything.

"What is this?" He looked puzzledly at Shane who was lagging behind with a helpless look on his face.

"My name is Rena. I'm here for a visit. I really like Pelican Town." Rena had a proud look on her face as if she had recommended herself.

Caught off guard, Shane covered his face in embarrassment, stepped forward and pulled Rena behind him, and briefly introduced Rena's situation to Sean.

What a rare visitor! This is probably the first person who has come to Pelican Town in the name of tourism in recent times.

Sean looked at Lena with curiosity and welcomed this lively girl into his yard.

“Ha~ This is delicious!” Reina’s eyes widened, “I came to the right place after all.”

The outgoing girl was sitting in Sean's yard, swinging her feet with a glass of honey lemonade in her hand.

"How is it? Did this fierce-looking guy bully you on the road?" Sean, who understood what was going on, asked Lena half-jokingly with a wink.

"No, Uncle Shane takes good care of me. He is a very gentle person." Lena looked at Shane's face and answered seriously.

"Him? Gentle?" Sean repeated the word in disbelief, as if he had heard something out of the ordinary.

There is something fishy going on, and the radar of the onlookers is ticking.

Sean was planning to continue getting some information from Lena.

Shane's cough next to him was already deafening.

“Okay, I won’t joke anymore.” Sean stopped teasing at the right time, but he looked at Shane with a teasing look on his face.

Shane froze completely and tried to remain calm.

"Lena, I'm going to discuss some work with Uncle Shane first, so I'll let Amber stay with you for a while." He emphasized the word "uncle".

Following Sean's shout, the big golden retriever and her little brothers ran over to the pool in a large group.

The farm star makes a shining appearance.

Every girl can't resist Amber's charm. As expected, Reina was immediately attracted by these furry creatures.

"Take Amber for a walk around the farm for me, Lena." On the surface, Sean was talking to Lena, but in fact he was asking Amber to keep an eye on the little girl and not let her run around.

Amber winked secretly, and her eyes revealed an expression that said, "Don't worry about what I do."

Sean understood what he meant and pulled Shane over to talk about business.

An hour later, Shane had handed over his work.

In the words of Shane, "Don't get me wrong, we really don't have anything and we really don't need it",

Sean smiled and gave him a day off, saying, "You must be very tired after coming back from a business trip, so you don't have to force yourself to go to work," and asked him to take Rena to the countryside and town.

In this way, the first tourist of Pelican Town, Rena, began her sightseeing tour of Pelican Town accompanied by Shane.
