Blending of Planes: I am leisurely farming
Chapter 115 The Legend of Stone
"Can you tell me more about this stone?" Sean asked back, trying to take back the initiative.
"Sorry, I'm a little excited. This stone is not really worth collecting. If you don't believe me, you can ask the two experts next to me."
"Really?" Sean stared into her eyes and reached for a stone on the table to observe her expression.
He was very calm, without a trace of panic, so he must be telling the truth, Sean made his judgment.
He put the stone back on the table and said, "No, I believe what you said. Please continue."
Sean is not thick-skinned enough to do such a thing as asking a third party for evidence in front of others.
And judging from where she was sitting, this lady should be a person of relatively high status here. The other two middle-aged experts sat far away in a corner, leaving the largest piece of the table for her to use.
So Sean didn't make things difficult for himself.
"Then I will continue. In fact, this type of stone is called lemon stone. It is extremely rare, but because it is not hard, has no ornamental value, and has poor performance, it is not very valuable."
"But there is a rumor behind it. It is said that it is the food of a certain underground civilization and is their most precious delicacy. I will temporarily name this civilization the 'Dwarves'. This is a record I saw on a stone tablet. It is something that has not been confirmed by the mainstream academic community."
"This is just an ordinary stone with a hint of legend. I am currently looking for signs of the existence of the 'dwarves' tribe. If you know where this stone was found, please make an offer."
"I see." Sean was half-believing and half-doubting. "This stone was also given to me by a friend of mine. Unfortunately, he just went out for a long time. I will ask him when he comes back. Um... then..."
Sean acted coyly, as if he wanted the money for the intelligence but was too embarrassed to ask for it.
He made up an excuse and tried to delay the matter. No matter what her purpose was, the longer it dragged on, the more he would know.
"Is that so?" The lady pressed the flashlight switch with her finger, frowned and thought, then picked up the pen and paper beside her and wrote flamboyantly.
"This is my business card and address. I will be living in Pelican Town for a while. If you have any news, please come to the above address to find me. If I am away for some reason, you can ask Gunther to help." She handed the paper to Sean.
Petra, that was her name.
"Got it." Sean put the paper and stone into his pocket and left.
At this time, the other women had also finished their appraisals and were discussing it heatedly.
"That guy who doesn't know the value of this thing said it was calcite, a common calcium carbonate mineral, even though it's so beautiful." Haley complained slightly.
"This one is called Malachite. He offered 100G to buy it, but I refused. Emily, I plan to keep it." Leah said to Emily.
"Claire, what about you?"
"As for me, this one is called blue topaz. I like it very much. I plan to polish it into a pendant and wear it." Claire fell in love with it at first sight.
"I am a piece of coral, and I can hear the changes of the sea in it." Emily said profound words.
By this time, Abby had left the team and went to the other side to identify her sword and the old item that Sean picked up.
"Sean, what about you?" Seeing Sean finally come out, the four girls focused their attention on him.
"There are so many people here, let's go out and find a place to sit and chat while waiting for Abby."
Under a cherry tree, with flower buds dotted among the emerald green leaves, Sean and his group sat on the ground on a picnic blanket.
He told the girls about his conversation with Petra and how he had managed to frustrate her.
"Emily, do you remember where this stone was found?"
"Let me think." She lowered her head slightly, not daring to look Sean in the eye. Her fair ears were slightly pink. "It should be the southern seaside, east of Willy's Fish Market, by the independent abandoned beach."
"In the fall, I would go there alone to meditate and feel the nature. But the only wooden bridge leading to that area collapsed last winter due to heavy snow."
"It may take some effort to get there now. I'll take you there some other day." Emily figured it out. She mustered up the courage to take the initiative and create an environment where she and Sean could be alone.
"No need. It's enough for me to know the general scope. We don't know the full picture of this matter. You guys shouldn't get involved too much. OK?" After all, it involves myths and legends and unknown civilizations. For safety reasons, Sean didn't want the women to get involved.
Naturally, he didn't understand Emily's intention and decisively refused.
He glanced around and all the women nodded in response, except Leah.
"Among the dwarves who have lived underground for generations, a young man who wants to look up at the night sky was born..." Leia muttered to herself. It was obvious that Sean's words just now gave her a lot of creative inspiration.
It took her a long time to come out of her creative state, where she was oblivious to the people around her. Noticing that all eyes were on her, Leia felt a little overwhelmed.
"I remember it too." It's unclear whether this means that she remembered Sean's instructions or remembered the inspiration for her creation.
"What expert? I'm going to report you!" In the distance, Abi came over angrily, "Master, I'm so pissed off. He actually said that the thing you took was not worth as much as a firewood stick!"
Abhi was very angry that his master's vision was looked down upon.
"Okay, don't be angry. We came here just for fun. We agreed not to have any hope before we left." Sean tried to calm Abby down.
"But you can't say that this copper rod carved with rare and exotic animals is not as good as a fire stick." Abby was a little reluctant.
"It's too hot to use for making fire. Since it's not used for that purpose, I'll just hide it again." Sean was generous. He took the copper rod from Abby and put it away again.
All the girls came forward and surrounded Abi to complain. As the emotions faded, Abi became lively again and forgot what happened just now.
Then everyone had a picnic under the shade of the cherry trees, waiting for the afternoon treasure hunt to begin.
-----------------
After picking up the garbage, everyone rushed to the venue of the event. There were many people traveling together along the way, mostly in pairs. It was obvious that these were all members participating in the treasure hunt.
During this time, Sean saw Sam dragging a reluctant Sebastian on the road, and Alex was with his cousin Haji.
What surprised Sean the most was that Harvey, who looked like a middle-aged uncle, hooked up with the young nurse Jenny, and the two of them teamed up.
The old cow eats the young grass, and Sean secretly despises it while sharing this discovery with the girls.
As expected, everyone likes to eat melons. The girls talked about it a lot, chattering and it was very lively.
